A whole new World

" Shh..." he repeated " its gone now eh" he said holding her

"Yeah, but, it was so intense. Imagine the worse pain you've ever felt. Now increase it ten fold. That's similar. My pain threshold is high." She sobbed as a residual wave of pain washed over her.

Wow" he said smoothing down her hair " thats pretty painful"

"It is. Its a side effect of not feeling pain some of the time. When I don't have someone to take the pain away, all the pain that's built up goes surging through my body." She gave a small hiccup.

you really got dealt the shitest hand ever didnt ya " he mused stroking her hair like she was a pet cat

"Yup. This why I think God must hate me. Because if I'm away from them, it hurts." She sighed, and pushing her head against his hand. "That feels nice." She murmured lazily, dozing off again.

he slipped away and created a shadow clone to watch her

The pain came back almost instantly, but the clone came to her. She held it close, and told it dreamily, "I need you Kaji. Please."

the shadowclones eye twitched and it lay beside her and held her close

"Thank you." Kikisu murmured. She didn't realize that it was just a clone, but it still made her feel better all the same. Falling asleep, her tight grip on the clone didn't lesson any.

the real kaji was back in the living room napping. Nami was over playing at a friends house

Kikisu stayed asleep for a while. In her dreams, she saw visions of Kaji and Kikisu, laughing and hanging out. He would be a nice bestfriend.

Kaji was in the kitchen making dango. Kikisu was sleeping soundly

Kikisu stayed asleep. She hadn't been able to rest this well in, well, she couldn't remember.

kaji put the dumplings in the oven and washed the flour off his hands and face.

The clone had since disapeered, and she felt the pain began again. "Nnnnn" She tried to hold the screams in. Covering her face with a pillow to muffle them, she let out a blood curtling scream.

kaji sighed and ran upstairs " whats wrong" he asked confused picking her up and carrying her downstairs

Kikisu snuggled her head against his chest. "It hurts. " She said plainly.

" are you in agony " he asked siting her down at the kitchen table.

"Yes! God, ok listen kaji. On a scale from 1 to 100, heres how my pain threshold and regular ones sit. Pain of 25 make a normal person sick to their stomach. It tickles for me. Pain of 50 induces the kind of screams you heard from me. Again, that tickles. At 75, most people will have passed out. I feel slight discomfort. If a person is awake at 100, they die. Me, it starts to get unbareable. By about 300, i'm throwing up. By 400, i'm screaming, and by 500 i'm passing out." She shook her head. "Now do you understand. But when I don't have physical comfort from certain people, I go from about feeling nothing, to about 440."

It was just a question " he said patting her head " no need to explain you were in agony "

"Oh, ok." She said, sighing.

"Yeah, gonna talk to Aiden." Kikidu said. When the coffee was done, she asked for a cup black. "I've rediscovered why I loved the Kurado's so much."
