Shelter ( Open Topic )

Modero was sitting at a table in the inn sipping on some tea as he looked outside. He no longer wore his Hyuga robes as he did before. He had cut the ends of the sleeves and the bottom of the trousers. There was a large rip going down the left side and he wore a straw hat that covered most of his face. Underneath that lay a small scar across his right cheek and a tilted Kirigakure headband with a line going through the middle of it. He looked around the crowded inn and was listening to the people speaking although not paying much attention to it. He was concentrating on the rain outside and how heavily it poured, almost as if the sky was weeping.

Modero was low on money and would need to collect another ninja's bounty soon and Amegakure seemed like a place where a lot of rogue ninja would hide like himself. He now had a smile on his face and continued to take sips out of his tea. He got up from his seat and put it under the table and walked towards the innkeeper and put some money on the counter infront of them both.
" Three nights. I think that should cover it." Modero said calmly not allowing anything above his mouth being seen by the innkeeper.
He then walked away not waiting for an answer and stood against the wall looking at the people walking in and out.

Yukiko walked in the bar and her eyes were filled with sadness, she had just killed a family as part of a mission, she sighed and sat down at the bar and ordered a drink, she scouted the room with her eyes and they fell on someone in a big straw hat, what was he hiding?

Modero noticed that someone was staring at him. She didn’t look like she was alright, this was good for Modero. It would probably be an easy target, he could get some money out of her and if it had to be he would kill her. She looked like a ninja but he wasn’t sure if she was so he would have to keep his guard out. He had his usual smile on his face and raised his head so that his mouth was just visible.
He was now making sure she could see him looking at her. He moved his hand over to his side and waved at her. He mouthed the words. ‘ are you okay’ to her and waited for an answer. His scam would start now.

Yukiko eyed him warily and shook her head, she mouthed back "none of your concern" and turned her seat around to look away from him, Yukiko circled the rim of her glass with a finger and sighed, it wasn't his fault that she was upset, she had No reason to confide in him either. In reality she was despretly lonely but didn't even know it herself yet.

He moved towards her table and pulled a chair from another table. He placed it at her table and sat on it." I think it is, because you're a ninja. In a crime ridden village. And you have your guard down. You're in a bingo book and you could easily be killed right now" He said taking a sip of his tea after he finished.
He dug his sword into the floor and leaned back on his chair. He had his usual innocent smile on his face and he had placed his straw hat on his back. This revealed his milky white eyes, a small scar near his right eye and the Hyuuga cursed seal on his forehead.

She studied his face, quickly memorizing it for later use "don't flatter yourself, I'm not easily taken down" she retorted and coppied his actions by drawing her Katana from the sheath on her back and stabbing it into the ground, she took a sip of her drink and her eyebrows furrowed, she swirled her glass and placed it back down on the table, her senses were sharper and more atuned then normal humans and she could taste that it was spiked right away. Without letting anybody notice her eyes darted around the room searching for the bastard who would do something so low.

Modero could see that her chakra influx was different and deduced that she was either under genjutsu or that she was drunk. He had a smile on his face and quickly realised he could get another bounty here today." I told you so, I'll kill the guy who did this, if he has a bounty I could get the money. You can never have too much" He said to her.

Yukiko was never one to handle her alcohol, it must have been some powerful stuff because withthat one swig she already felt tipsy and her vision was impaired slightly, that wasn't a good sign, seeing as this bar was a Place for criminals of all sorts meant she needed to keep her guard up, she looked over to the man and quickly stood only wobbling slightly "that's for the chat but I need to get home" she wasn't about to let that man know she was drunk, afterall he was probably a criminal, she looked around the crowd towards the nearest exit and started to make her way through the crowd but an outstretched foot tripped her up and she collapsed to the ground, with her hands barley breaking her fall.
In an instant the scene changed, suddenly five men surrounded her and all grinned down at her "look what we have here" one of them muttered.

Modero was looming over the five men and as he went to talk they were suddenly not moving. " Just go to sleep and I'll take care of things " He said to her with his usual smile on his face.
The bodies dropped to the floor and a riot had already started. So many bounties to collect, he was glad he came here. The bartender resented him for always getting rid of his customers but he found that it was better to not have the criminals as they would never pay.
Modero used his rotation technique to get rid of the first few that were attacking him. He finally started using his sword and his rampage had started. The criminals were all fighting against each other but mostly against Modero and would hit him when his blind spot was facing them.

Modero went to the front of his room. He had placed the obviously drugged woman in his bed and was now napping on the small sofa that was there. The downstairs he had already helped clean and tidy as he felt responsible. He had a wad of money now as he had collected the bounties from the people who he had either killed or others had killed. There were some who had not died because they had either just came or clever enough to not get in a fight with unfamiliar people. Most of the people he killed didn't have high bounties and were just people who had robbed things or killed who they shouldn't have.

Yukiko's eyes snapped open and she was instantly on guard, she sprung out of he bed and reached for the Katana on her back which wasn't there, she scouted the rook and found it resting agaisnt the far wall, she walked over and sighed in relief as she slung it over her back, it always made her feel calmer knowing she had a lethal weapon in her back.

Yukiko walked over to the door at the end of the room and peeked out, no one in sight, using ninja stealth she snuck into the loungeroom where she spied the man from earlier dozing on a couch in front of her, Yukiko calmed down and smiled softley to herself, he was the one who had saved her afterall, and she didn't even know his name, Yukiko shrugged and explored the kitchen, and upon finding the fridge she stuck her head in and tried to raid it for some food, she would pay him back later for the food she ate.

Modero stretched as the noise woke him up. It wasn't that loud but he knew to awaken at any sound inside the same building as him. He got up from the couch and went to take off his vest when he realised he had company. He walked over to where the noise was coming from and noticed the woman who he had 'saved' was there. " Looks like somebody is hungry" He said to her as he walked into the kitchen.
He opened a cupboard that was resting from a wall and took out a carton of milk from it and ripped the top open. He spat the cardboard into the bin and walked into the lounge drinking the milk from the carton as he did.

Yukiko shook her head at his display of breakfast "i'd be happy to make you some breakfast" she called out to him and set to work making bacon and eggs she had found, as she cracked one of the eggs it came out green and a millisecond later, realisation hit that it was rotten "EVACUATE!" she screamed like a tornado was coming and bolted out the kitchen looking for the nearest exit, he smell was more attund then a normal humans and so the stench now wafting from the kitchen was unbearable "wheres the exit!" she cried, tears streaking down her eyes

Modero had a smile on his face and opened the door for her. He took some money and didn't bother putting anything ontop of his vest but grabbed the top part of his robes and slung it over his shoulder. He would buy some breakfast and complain to the guy. He showed her down the stairs and shouted at the innkeeper who now decided that ignoring him was a good joke.

Yukiko wiped the tears from her eyes and tried to get the stench from her brain "you really should throw out stuff that has been in there a while" she said sulkily and looked around the bar causiously, suspecting an enemy to be just around the corner, Yukiko blinked and turned her gaze on the bar keeper who wasn't coming over and growled "i suggest you come her unless you want to be paying for damages" she said menicingly breaking a bottle on the tabletop, she was not in the mood for being ignored
