Neko Time (Nbird, Cookie, and Xeno)

Haru walked through a small village in the land of fire shopping for food. She had a large dark cloak on so her cattish features wouldn’t show (mainly because she was run out of the last town she was out because of her looks.) She walked though the busy streets trying not to draw attention to herself. She took a sniff of the air smelling fresh fish baking on a grill. For a half cat like her, it smelt heavenly. She followed to scent hoping to maybe purchase some.

Seiya walked through the streets ignoring the stares from people that were obviously directed towards her tiger printed swaying tail and her cute cat ears moulded onto her head, well it was either that or the fact that she was wearing nothing but an orange sort of bikini that covered her most private parts. She didn't really care, this village wasn't after her, in fact it was one of the villages she knew she was safe in. The brunette haired neko smiled a bit as she suddenly lifted her nose in the air, smelling the delicious aroma of fish, automatically a small pur started within her core as she started following the smell, she had no money but maybe just maybe she could sneak a bit while no one was looking.

Yoshi walked through the town via the alleyways. He didn't like walking on the streets. He knew he would just get harrassed. People always abused him whereever he went. Grabbing his tail, or flicking his ears. So he stayed out of the public eye. Suddently, he caught a scent that made his mouth water. Fish. His stomach growled and he reached into his pocket. "Nothing, no money at all." He whined to himself. He was hungry though, so he decided to resort to his usual ways. He headed for the location of the scent to get himself fed.

Haru got to where the scent was coming from. A local seller had them on display. “Two please.” She said as she reached in her pockets to pay. When the exchange was complete she put the two delicious looking fish in a basket she was carrying. She was on her way to find a place to eat them when she bumped into someone else. “I’m so sorry” She said reaching her paw out to help them up.

Seiya approached the fish selling stand and her stomach growled with savage hunger, she hadn't eaten since yesterday morning! God she was so hungry right now and as she saw a what she guessed by the slim figure hidden in the cloak a girl, Seiya had her plan as she watched her come towards her, even better. Pretending to look interested in the stand she stepped back and 'accidentally' made the girl bump into her, heh she even reached out to help her, not seeing the paw she quickly gripped the backet in her clawed hands and yanked it from the girls grip, shoving her away with a strong push of her tail in the process "Sucker" she chuckled to herself turning on her heels and sprinting down the direction of a familier alleyway she knew. Looking back to see if the girl was following she smirked as her tail wrapped around her waist, but she didn't even have time to notice someone in front of her as she bowled straight into him! "Dammit, move!" she hissed and went to swipe at him, pinning him down with her body, her eyes widened and she froze as she saw the ears on his head, cat ears? they couldn't be, could they? In the surprise she had forgotten about thieving the basket and it lay forgotten on the ground, the delicious fish tumbling in its wrapping to the ground.

Yoshi had come out when he saw a girl steal food from another girl. "Damn it. Now I have to steal from a thief." He giggled and run out from his shadowly cover. He ran right across the feild but didn't expect for her not to stop. The two colladed and she fell ontop of his. He shook his head and looked up. She was staring right at his...ears." He eyes widened and he pushed her off of him. He made his way to the basket or atleast tryed. He leg was hurt from the fall. he tail swayed around as he moved. He only now relised that the girl in the tiger print wasn't the only one staring at him.

Haru ran after the thieves to get her food back. She stopped when she figured out they too were part cats just like her. She took off the hood of her cloak to show her own ears. She was speechless. Haru didn’t know that there was others like her. She just stared not sure what to say.

Seiya was just as stunned as Haru but was the first to speak up "Neko" she muttered and sat up brushing herself off, her tail on the other hand had a mind of its own, fixing the food in the basket and wrapping around the basket "Well I would love to chat and all but..." she jumped up on her legs and dashed off again, through the alley, she was to hungry to contemplate the other two nekos, although she did feel bad for stealing food off another creature like herself. Suddenly as if timed she hissed in pain as her left foot gave out, probably colliding with the neko boy, she fell forward, her cheek hitting the cold, wet ground of the alley

Yoshi ran as fast as he could to the alleyway nad into safety. He was still stunned that there were others like him, he more importantly, he was still hungry. He couldn't go back out to steal a meal now. He started to walk, but then caught the smell of fish again nad his stomach growled. He decided to follow his nose.

Why would the both run away? Haru wondered. She had so many questions to ask them. If only she had spoken up. She then looked down at the fish she bought. They were all dirty after falling to the ground. Haru picked up the basket and went to buy six more fish. She would just have to lure out her cousins if she was to meet them again. At a local park Haru prepared a little picnic letting the smell of the fish fly through the air. All she had to do was wait and hopefully they would come back.

She was so pissed at herself, how could she let that guy trip her, now she had missed out on a good meal, although that neko guy and the girl sparked her curiousty, she wondered how the neko girl had actually gained the money to buy said fish? All the nekos she had previously known were slaves, the male might have been one but she didn't think the female was.

Seiya stood back up and tested her ankle, sore but she could ignore the pain, walking slowly around she knew she needed foor, but where? Soon she smelt the delicious scent of fish once again and yet again she headed in the direction of the food, towards the park

Yoshi made it all the way to the edge of the park before stopping. Crap, a large open space with lots of people. Definatly not a place he liked to be. He stomach growled, but he just couldn't go out into somewhere so open. He lowered his head and cursed his tail. (short post. Sorry)

Haru looked around. Maybe they weren’t coming. This was a bad idea. She sighed in dismay. Lifting up her head, Haru stared at the fresh fish. “Better not let these go to waste.” She said as she reached a paw out to grab it.

As seiya came to the edge of the forest she could see where the delicious aroma was coming from, it sent a pleasant shiver up her spine, but alas to her it had to be a park... filled with people... in the open... with the other Neko she stole from being the owner of the fish she could now smell. Seiya sighed, not noticing the boy from earlier and she already concocted a plan, maybe apologize to this girl, get to know her and maybe get some fish, besides she was curious, she had never actually fully talked to another of her kind before, she had a few questions to. And without another thought she put on a small sorry smile and walked out into the open, ignoring the glances yet again and walked over to the girl where she bowed rather politely "I'm s-sorry for earlier... I was just so hungry and the fish smelt so good, but if I knew you were like me i wouldn't have" she said and looked up at her, through her hair apologetically.

Yoshi could see the two talking from where he stood. His stomach growled loudly adn he shook his head. He put his hood up and wrapped his tail around like a belt. He walked into hte sunlight and over to the two other cat-people. As he walked, he looked around nad sighed. So many people here. He lowered his head. "Excuse me." He said in a low voice as he reached the others. "but you two are both cat-people too, right."

Haru nodded her head to the boy. “I forgive you for earlier” She said turning to the girl. “I got plenty of fish for all of us. Sit down and we can talk a little. I‘m Haru by the way.” She said with a smile hoping they would sit down and talk to her. (short post sorry)

Seiya uttered a smile and on a split decision she sat, although on the opposite end of the grass, opposite the girl named Haru "I'm Seiya" She said and looked up at the first male neko she had seen.

Yoshi sat down across from the two girl. "I'm Yoshi." He said as he did. His stomach growled again. He placed his hand other it and adverted his eyes away from the other two. "Is there any chace I could have some fish too." He asked quietly.

“Of course you can Yoshi. That’s what they’re there for.” She said with a smile moving the basket of fish closer to him. Now that they were all here she didn’t know what to talk about.

Seiya was the first to break the ice, in fact she believed that she was the most comfortable being who she was seeing as how she was the only one who walked around without hiding anything. She reached forward into the basket and took a piece of fish and smiled slightly "Okay, so Haru, why is it that your like not in the slave trade like most of our kind?"

Yoshi's ear's twiched when he heard that. Slave trade. Did she mean that she sold slaves. No, that wasn't it. She didn't look the type to do something so cruel. That must mean..."They sell us as slaves." Yoshi quickly scanned the area. He knew people were cruel to him, but slavery. He shook his head at the thought.

“Well, I think that was to be my fate but the slave operation that I was in got destroyed by a rouge ninja before I could be sold” She said. What she didn’t tell them was she started to date that same rouge ninja a few days later.

“Don’t worry Yoshi, I’ve thoroughly scanned this area, no slavers within a five mile radius at the moment, and I wouldn’t be here if their were slavers nearby” Seiya assured him and started eating, soon she was purring from the delicious fur and a pleasant shiver rippled through her fur “Mmm fish, been so long I’d forgotten what it tasted like” She said in a purr glancing at Haru, she knew the other neko was hiding something but decided not to ask, yet.

Yoshi sat down and took some of the fish. He was eating with two of his kind. He started to eat. "mmmmm." Yoshi hummed and continued to rathr was still looking around, scanning the area. This was the first time he had met another one of his kind and now he finds they are sold into slavery. He didn't see anything unusual, except for the usual awkward stares from passersby.

Haru was a little less on edge then her fellow cats but she still looked around from time to time. Soon the fish was all devoured. “What to go somewhere else where no-one looks at us funny.” She suggested think that was what they all wanting. On a tall building in the distance, were three men. One of them had a set of binoculars looking at the three cat creatures. It was quite clear what they were planning in their heads. They were going to capture and sell them.
