Home to sister

That was it! The reason why Aiden didn't sit right with Akemi. "Demon?" He furrowed his eyebrows slightly. "Stay away from my house." Akemi demanded.

"I go wherever Naka goes," he protested. "And she wants to be with your sister. I won't leave her, but I'll keep my distance from the kid."

"Go nowhere near Katsumi. I don't care if you go where Naka goes...Stay away from Katsumi. Never be in the same room as her. I don't want to hear of her seeing you ever again." Akemi growled.

Aiden rolled his eyes. "Fine." Akemi was as protective over Kasumi as Aiden over Naka. "Are you going to take Goru away from her too?"

"Why would I do that? Katsumi enjoys having Goru around and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with him." Akemi said uneasily.

"Yeah... A kid, barely six years old, able to summon an over-sized kitty. You think that's normal?" Aiden asked, arching an eyebrow.

"I don't see what's wrong with summoning a cat." Akemi grew worried. What was Aiden trying to say..?

Aiden sighed. "The demon you know is better than the one you don't...hey, d'you have any raw meat? I haven't eaten in days and Naka's wounds still haven't healed yet, so I can't eat her."

Akemi ignored the last part. "Are you saying that Goru is a demon as well?"

"Took you long enough. Yeah, he is, but not an active one." His stomach rumbled. "Ugh..."

"Not an active one? ...What does that mean?" Akemi wanted to go into the kitchen and pull Katsumi away from everyone and keep her safe but her first wanted to know more about the situation.

"He doesn't know he's a demon, so don't tell him. Even if he knows, it wouldn't be any good. I sealed him so that he wouldn't go beserk." Then he added, in a low mutter, "...my own son..."

"What? Goru is your son? I thought...--" He paused. What did he think? He didn't think they were related but...what DID he think?

"Yeah, he's my son, don't judge him though. He's nothing like me. And don't tell them about it, either."

"So...he's your son and has no idea? And no idea that he's a demon? What does that make Naka?"

Aiden froze. Then he chose his words slowly and purposely. "This is another life. In her previous life, I was her husband and we...made Goru. But they think they're siblings, so shush. Goru favours her from the rest of his foster siblings."

Akemi didn't know what to say. He was slightly dumb-founded. They're a family...? How could that even be...? He thought to himself. How could he believe what this demon was saying?

Aiden waved a hand over Akemi's face. "Hello. Earth to Akemi. You okay?"

Akemi gave Aiden a look before turning around. "If Katsumi ever gets hurt in any way...I'm blaming you." He said as he walked back inside.

Aiden rolled his eyes again and stayed outside, trying to avoid sunlight.

Goru was chatting and eating with Kasumi, smiling for once, and Naka was on Kasumi's other side, just humming and swinging her legs.

Akemi walked into the kitchen, enjoying the site of his sister looking so happy.

"Kasumi-chan, what else do you want to eat?" Naka asked happily.

"Ice cream!!" Katsumi said happily, giggling lightly.

Akemi leaned against the wall. How could Goru be a demon? And Naka...his mother? Aiden's wife? Akemi thought.

"Please, Onee-chan?" Goru gave Naka his cute-sy face.

"Kawaii!" Naka grinned and hugged him tightly. "Okay, then!" She hummed and placed a bucket of ice cream in front of them.

Akemi smiled to himself as Katsumi smiled so wide it seemed as if her face would crack.
