an accident in the mountains

The perfect time for training, Genichi thought to himself, standing atop a mountain, form which a small portion of the hidden leaf village could be seen. The sky was darkening, and the sound of thunder could be heard in the distance. Time for some taijutsu but before he even had the chance to activate his kekkei genkai, he was suddenly struck by a bolt of lightning, which knocked him off his feet, and made him very dizzy. As Genichi stood up dazed, he realized that he was surrounded by hundreds of shinobi, all dressed completely in black. He created a thunder bird to send a distress signal, "Anyone, anyone from the village."

After the bird had gone, Genichi turned to face the shinobi and took a defensive stance while activating his kekkei genkai, waiting for them to make the first move. For a while they were in a deadlock, then suddenly, one of the shinobi leaped up and attacked him. Genichi reacted quickly and,to his surprise, jabbed his hand right through the enemy's chest with an electrically charged fist. The shinobi began to bleed water, then turned completely to water and melted away, electrocuting Genichi, who leapt back in pain and surprise. Hmmm... mabe this won't be as easy as I'd hoped...

Laut was conveniently on his way to the top of the mountain for his meditation. The skies seemed dark so he was expecting lots of rain which was perfect for him. Suddenly, he saw an electric bird flying from the top. He wasn't sure where it came from, but he quickly ran to investigate.

Laut quickly arrived and noticed a fellow Ninja being sorrounded. He grabbed a Kunai and focused his chakra on it as he ran. He tossed it towards one of the Ninja who was in his way, but the Ninja jumped to dodge it. Laut closed his first and moved it towards his chest as if he was grabbing something. Suddenly the Kunai he tossed turned back, when through the Ninja and returned to Laut's hand. The Ninja also turned into water.

"Need help?" said Laut with a smile as he jumped in the middle and stood back to back with Genichi without making contact with him. At that moment Laut felt the prescence of an electric field around Genichi. "So, you are from the Kaita clan. We should be able to help each other."


OOC: How wide is the electric field?

ooc: well, the field has a circumfrence of, let's say, six feet. the point of the field is really just so his taijutsu is charged with electricty.

Impressive, their arrival time was much quicker than expected. "Yeah," Genichi grinned and tilted his head in the direction of the voice, "help sounds pretty good right about now." He turned back to face the crowd of enemy ninja, when something finally registered. "I am of the Kaita clan. It would appear our name has spread even to the land of fire, but how do you know that?"

Laut smiled back and said, "Pride...Shame...it's written all over your stomach really."

Laut tossed a few Shuriken towards the incomming Ninja. He couldn't get a lock on who was the real one, or even if the real one was still there.

"Fight now, talk later. I hope it starts raining soon."

Laut focused his chakra on a few Shuriken and tossed them towards the Ninja. As Laut moved his arms around, the Shuriken seemed to be following the Ninjas.

Ox, Ram, Dragon Genichi thought, forming the corresponding hand signs. "Lightning style, lightning stream jutsu!"
suddenly multiple bolts of lightning shot out of Genichi's palm and impaled about 10 of the water clones, which then reverted back to their original form. They just keep on coming... thought Genichi, grimacing. "Hey, Mr, 'less talk, more fight' how many do you suppose there are?" he said casually, tossing a kunai and destroying another three clones.

Laut giggled at bit at the comment. "I don't know. I guess as many as the orignal can keep making."

Laut thought for a moment then walked behind Genichi. "This will help locate him."

He began making handsigns. "Don't worry, this won't hurt at all." He put his hand on Genichi's back and called, "Lightning Search Jutsu!"

Laut's chakra began flowing through Genichi and into his electric field, suddenly the chakra discharged as electricity in a single direction.


OOC: The chakra should have discharged directly on the real one if he is nearby, or on the clone that's in the direction of the real one. Either way, this doesn't hurt Genichi in any way.

That way, huh? "Alright, let's go." Genichi began running in the direction of the lightning, but his path was quickly blocked by a dozen clones. These things are such a pain. I'm not sure if I have enough chakra left for this, but it's the only way we can escape as quickly as possible. Genichi deactivated his Raidou and put his palms on the ground. "Lend me some of your chakra!"
Genichi said to Laut, who placed his hands on his back. "Crystal Release: Crystalline forrest!" suddenly large sharp crystals began jutting up out of the ground, squering the clones above. That was pretty exhausting "Come on, before he makes more of them!" He began running in the direction Laut's jutsu had pointed, but, with such depleted chakra stores, he suddenly collapsed, panting heavily. "D-do you h-have any chakra pills?" He asked Laut, feebly.

"Sorry, I left them at home. I was only planning on meditating today," he said with a saddened face that showed a bit of pain at the end.

Laut took a big breath, leaned down, and put Genichi over his shoulders. "We have to get more help. Hang on," he said as he carried Genichi towards the village. At that moment it began to rain heavily.

Yuuki was near a mountain with her ltiitle brother taining when it started to rain. She decided to quicky run into one of the caves nearest to her and Mokashi followed behind. Yuuki put down her backpack, then paused, hearing footsteps. She looked at Mokashi and indicated for him to stay here "no fair..." her brother groaned quietly as she got up moving to the edge of the cave, ready to lash out and injure who ever was there.

shuji appears

"ahh ur that girl that was with kou at the training ground."

shuji starts to walk toward her

"What?" she turned around hearing a familiar voice "what are you doing here? Aren't you ment to be in the Sand Village? " she asked puzzeled of his apperance

Degrading. That's the word for it. He looked up at the sky, and immediately dropped his head back down. And now it's raining. Genichi was slung over Laut's back, jostling up and down with each step. I call for help and immediately make a fool of myself by using up all my chakra. Pathetic. Genichi lifted his head, oh, look, we're being followed. Genichi and Laut were indeed being pursued by more water clones, conjured by the still unknown force. Hmmm, what to do in a situation like this. He looked over his shoulder and spotted an approaching cave, "Mabe we should stop in that cave, I might have enough chakra to block the entrance with crystals, at least until help arrives."

As the two neared the the cavern, Genichi thought he could hear voices coming from the inside. "Wait!" he shouted, but it was too late. The pair stumbled upon two other ninja, a boy dressed all in black, and a girl with long red hair.

Laut wasn't sure what to expect. Those two Ninja weren't in range to draw information from them, and there were water clones following closely behind. He placed Genichi on the floor, practically at the very entrance of the cave. With one foot outside the cave drenching in the rain, he thought, This should buy us plenty of time as he made a couple of quick handsigns.

"Lightning Search Jutsu!" he called. The electricity quickly discharged into the wet ground. While Laut still didn't know who the real one was, with the ground wet as it was, the jutsu should have been guided directly to the real one and delivered a shock to him.

Laut was breathing heavily. He wasn't sure how much chakra he put onto that last jutsu, but still he had to be ready for anything. He took a fighting stance identical to that of the Hyuuga style and awaited the other two Ninja to move.


OOC: If I recall correctly, Clones are supposed to vanish if the real one is damaged somehow. Also, unless the real one was watching, he shouldn't know where Laut and Genichi are because the Clones had no chance to reveal that information. Still, correct me if I'm wrong.

occ: Yeah your right

Yuuki felt the chakra of two other ninjas behind her that she was about to pursue before Shuji interupted, she looked at Shuji wondering if it was his friends and all he was doing was distracting her, she went infront of her brother who wanted to fight but Yuuki didn't let him. "I'm serious Mokashi, stay here" she done a few hand signs before there were three illusions of herself. It was raining heavily and she began to wonder if her attack would work properly.

ooc: well, from what I know, clones are just as smart as the person who made them, and the person who made them also gains any exxperience a destroyed clone receives. I was also thinking that they might be a genjutsu.

occ: Oh, thats a clever idea

Something had just dawned upon Genichi. He formed a hand sign and concentrated on stopping the flow of chakra to his brain. "Release!" Just as suddenly as the clones had appeared, they vanished, but Laut was in a fighting stance and looked like he was about to perform something pretty powerful. "It's a genjutsu!"

Yuuki felt chakra wash over her "what the..." she saw Laut and another person next to him "who are you?" she asked as her brother came out of the cave, wondering the same thing.

Shizue bent down and got the herbs for the medicine that she was trying to make. "Yuuki?" Shizue spotting the girl "Why didn't you use your byukugan" she teased.

"because I didn't find it very nessesery" she said making up a random excuse "are you alright?" she asked trying to change the subject as fast as she could.

"huh?' Shizue pondered now really interested on why she didn't use it. "I fine, collecting herbs for medicine and poisons hope how bout you?"

"Oh, umm..." Yuuki almost forgot why she was even there "because I lost a bet with my little brother, so now I have to take him training" she said hating to admit it.

OOC: I suspected it was a genjutsu...Laut didn't though...awesome!


Laut heard Genichi say it was a Genjutsu and then release it. Soon after he even heard Yuuki's voice. He sighed in relief and sat on the floor.

"I think we are save for now...I hope so at least," he said as he calmed down.

He then smiled back at Genichi and said, "By the way, my name is Laut Semangat."
