Training and Meeting New Faces

Ember worked hard with just Kuuni Knives (I dont know how to spell Kuuni)
to split open a block of solid metal.She grunted everytime she thrusted the knife into the cube but all it did was make a tiny dent.Over and over she did the same thing at the same spot and soon she began to sweat.
The reason she wanted to split open this metal box was when she bought it,the clerk explained to her that there was a rare gem trapped inside and anyone who broke open the metal cube would be able to keep the gem forever.
She has a collection of gems in a secret stash somewhere in her room.
Why?-Because her mom used to collect gems so all of the gems are for her.
Ember kept pounding on the metal box making such a rucuss.

Riiki slowly walked into the training fields and saw ember trying with all her might to open the box. Hearing The Kunais clash she knew Ember was having a hard time.
But Sadly riiki just went to sat down too embarassed to ask if she needed help. Keeping quiet she continued to listen to the clashing

Ember sighed heavily stopping to rest.She dropped the Kunai onto the dirt and wiped away the sweat and looked up to see a girl sitting alone.She knew not to get into her buisness though she was curious so after taking a breath she went back to work even harder than before.Nothing would stop her from opening this solid metal block for her dead mother.For what seemed like hours,she FINALLY got a crack into the box.

Riikitou blinked in a slight shock seeing that ember finally opened the box with all her might. Standing up, she walked over to ember shyly and handed her a small bottle of water without saying a word; too shy she turned to leave

Ember looked up as the girl have her a small bottle of water and walked away.
"Hey."
She called after her standing up.
"Thanks for the water."
She told the girl as she slowly turned around.
Ember nodded and unscrewed the cap of the water and chugged it.

Riiki smiled slightly and turned back around and walked over to the girl and watched her.
"that box.......important.?" riikitou asked knowing the answer but wishing to start a conversation. Her eyes set on the girl.

Ember`s eyes turned a dark shade of gray remembering her dreadful past.Then turned a dark green for friendly but still dark remembering her past.
"Its-Well,yeah.Very special."
Thats all Ember wanted to say.She couldnt give too much away.
Ember bent down,sturdied her feet on the ground,and used her bare hands to pry open the box further.The metal was sharp so it cut her hands making them bleed a dark red blood.She ignored it as the box snapped open and the gem flew up into the air.Ember quickly searched a tree to jump off from and as soon as she found one,there was no hesitation.She ran up the tree,backflipped, then caught the gem and landed.

Riiki watched ember as she jumped from tree to tree and wondered how strange this girl might be. Riiki looked down shyly and then decided to leave the girl be. Seeing that she hit a soft spot, she turned and walked away and sat yards away from ember

The gem glowed as it touched Ember`s cursed blood,and she yelped,literaly yelped,and let the gem go.She wiped the blood off on her pants then picked up the gem again.She put the gem in her pocket and looked over to Riiki.Picking up her Kunai and twriling it around her finger,she walked over to Riiki.
"Hey.The name`s Ember."
Ember said then held out a hand as Riiki looked up.
Ember,seeing she still had some blood on the hand,and that Riiki was probably too shy to shake her hand,she dropped it by her side and put the Kunai in her pocket-pouch.

Riiki blushed slightly and looked down. "Im sorry...my name is Riikitou nice to meet you ember" she said as she looked back up and shook her hand despite the blood stain on her hand. "That gem..hurts you....why?" She questioned conserned for ember

Ember blew her bangs out of her face and sat down next to Riiki knowing this is gonna be hard for her to understand.
"My blood,is..Well,Cursed."
She told Riiki her eyes turning a pure couldy dark gray.She was sure Riiki saw her eyes change color,so she prepared to explain herself in a way Riiki (or anyone im NOT calling Riiki stupid!) could understand.

Riiki blinked and stared at embers eyes in confusion. "Cursed?...that must be a horrible way to live. I am sorry for it" riiki said sympathetic. "If there....is anything.....i can help.." Staring at the ground once more riiki kicked a few rocks and sighed. "I can sense different shades coming from your eyes....seeing as i cant see.."

Ember blinked confused.
"You cant help me.And dont be sorry.Im a lame exuse to be living on Earth."
She said.
"Your..Blind?"
She asked raising her voice.

Riiki took a step back, finally revealing something. "Yes.....i am" she said with her voice slowly turning into a whisper. "Ever since i was born...." She continued on and covered her one eye with her hand and sighed once more. "But-....being blind doesnt mean you will be able to kill me easily." riiki stated taking embers higher voice as a threat to try and get her off guard. Riiki was in fact a little worried of being made fun of once she told ember she was blind.

Ember smirked,
"Naw i wouldnt kill you.But i wouldnt get on my bad side if u dont want to be killed."
Ember noted.
"Im sorry that your blind.I think blind people are very special.My cat was blind.Well,it wasnt too long before...-"
Ember cut off remembering her kitty and her eyes turned teal blue.
"Nevermind bout that.The thing is,your blind.And I wont make fun of you for it.And if anyone does..."
Ember clenched her fist then let the muscles rest.

"Ember, dont worry about it..and im sorry for what happened to your cat." Riiki noted thinking she knew what happened to embers cat and also noticed her tense muscles. "There are some things we like to keep personal like your mysterious eye color change.." riiki stated and lowered her hand from her face.

Ember did a quick nod and looked at Riiki.She seemed to look troubled.
"Hey,if you want me to do anything ill be there for you.Im just like that."
She told Riiki.

Riiki looked to the side and nodded slightly. "But i will feel like i owe you something." Riiki muttered under her breath and walked over to a tree and put her hand on it. She kept her eyes closed and after a moment opened them. "This tree is dying"

Ember walked over to the tree.
"How can you tell and how am i supossed to fix it?"
She asked raising an eyebrow.
"You already helped me.I owe you. Your the one who gave me that fine water to drink after i worked so hard."
Ember notted.

Riiki turned to ember. "Dont say you owe me..you dont." she said shyly and took her hand off the tree. Staring at the ground she sighed. "There is nothing i need in return...except friendship...and trust" she continued

Ember nodded.
"Youve got both right here.I promise."
She reasurred Riiki.
"How do you think I can help the tree?"
She asked.
