Silent Grass

They continued walking through the vast desert. A few hours it came time for Tsukiakara’s stomach to growl at him. Tsukiakara injured his stomachs request but he was sure that his partner was bond to hear it.

Nagiko heard the growl and said " Maybe we should stop for lunch." Nagiko said.

“Fine” Tsukiakara agreed, “But let’s not have it right here in the open. Let’s fine a place that could be half way defendable.”

" Okay." just then Nagiko saw a patch of trees and said "Look Tsukiakara there must be water there lets eat there our water supplies must be getting low here in this dessert." Nagiko said.

Tsukiakara sighed but reluctantly followed the boy to the patch of trees. He had shown Nagiko the house made of pure ice and melted it in front of his face so what made him think that they were going to run out of water soon? Food on the other hand was the most priority and Tsukiakara had a few days worth of it left.

Nagiko rushed to the patch of tree's and saw that it was an oasis in there and said " hey come in here it's amazing here alittle too amazing I havn't had water in three days I could be illusioning." Nagiko said.

“No, it’s defiantly there” Tsukiakara reassured him. Tsukiakara had seen the water was real so there was nothing to worry about. That was unless some thieves had the same idea they did.

Nagiko then reassured scoped up some water with his hands and drank all he could and repeatively done this to get fresh water into his system.

Tsukiakara leaned against a tree and stood on watch. Someone had to do it after all. ‘Something isn’t right’ He taught to himself in silence. There was an oasis in the middle of nowhere and they were the only ones there. Why? Such a place would attract travelers like moths to a light. There was a strange bump in the ground near the tree Tsukiakara was leaning against. He bent over and rubbed the sand off to reveal a human skull. “Nagiko take a look at this”

"What is it." Nagiko asked getting up.

Tsukiakara didn’t say nothing but just pointed his finger at the skull.

" What in the world." Nagiko said digging the skull out of the dirt.

Tsukiakara leaned against the tree still as he guarded the two. He was going to let Nagiko absorb what he saw for a bit before speaking to him.

" Could someone of been murdered here." Nagiko said in a asking voice.

“Possibly. The only thing is was that person’s head was either someone’s trinket or it was killed very recently. Judging by how there appears to be no more skin or blood on the scull I would guess that the first is more likely. But then again there could always be some sort of jutsu that could cause this, I just wouldn’t know what to call it.”

"Then we have to get out of here this could be someones property." Nagiko said kinda scared.

“Highly doubt. A place this nice would have a house or something. I just find this place odd.” Tsukiakara said. He then started looking around. “I don’t see any animals in site either.” He observered. If that was the case then it had to be… He quickly glanced at the water.

Nagiko kept looking at the skull.

Tsukiakara knelt down at the water. Was it poisoned? Well this wasn’t the time or place to find out so Tsukiakara took out a canteen and stored some of the water in it. He would have to examine the water later. “I think that’s enough rest. We should be heading out now.” He said to his teammate.

" Right." Nagiko said and got up but put the skull in a back pack he wanted it as a suviniore.

Tsukiakara got back to pulling the cart. While they were moving Tsukiakara kept close watch of his partner. He had a bad feeling that something bad was going to happen.

Nagiko began to feel alittle weak but he just shruged it off.

“Are you ok?” Tsukiakara asked out of the blue. Something was up and Tsukiakara could feel it.

"Nothing it's just I just got weak. " Just then he fell to the ground he felt really weak now.

Tsukiakara saw his partner drop. This wasn’t good he would have to move to plan B. Quickly he did some hand signs and the boxes on the cart vanished with a puff of smock. Tsukiakara then ran over to Nagiko and picked him up setting him on the cart. “Don’t worry there is a village not far from here that we’ll stop at” He told him pulling the cart once again. “Just rest for now and enjoy the ride”
