Lost in the Rain (lightning & Mar)

(Set sometime before the Chunin Exam)

This rain.

This never ending rain.

Murashi wasn't really sure what happened, one moment he had been running with his teammates back towards Iwagakure. The next the name-sake of the land had come down surprisingly hard, making the land slick with mud. He had stopped, having lost sight of his teammates in the thickened rain. He had listened quietly for the sound of their footsteps, but any sound that would have been made was drowned out by the loud patting of the rain has it it the floor.

No doubt those two headstrong teammates of his had carried on ahead, oblivious to the fact he was on longer beside them.

Hell they probably didn't even know they couldn't see each other, as determined to get home as they were.

Sighing quietly Murashi looked round, noticing the faint outline of a cave not far from him. Quickly taking shelter in the rock he set to work drying himself.

He hoped things didn't get worse.

Nagiko now a rouge ninja was around the Rain Village in the forest of the Rain Village and he saw a cave and headed in the rain had been padding down pretty hard but he didn't care he just wanted a place to sleep but when he saw a kid he hid and pulled out a kunia to get ready for combat. He wasn't going to end his ambition here nomatter what he had a organization to make to destroy the Leaf Village for what they done against his clan he'd make sure they were all dead.

Nagiko crept in silently not going to cause any sound and began to inspect his enemy it was only a kid probably his age. He sighed silently but then he clenched his kunai and thought to himself 'maybe this is a test part of my path maybe I have to fight this kid to show my true strengths and then spread fear by letting him go and telling the leader of this village about him but of course not without something to remember him by.' Nagiko thought he wouldn't let this chance pass and he jumped out and aimed to quickly slice open the kids arm and dash back into the shadow's where the kid wouldn't beable to see him. He always used this way of fighting it was a good style hide and attack was the ninja way and he'd always do that if it wasn't a strong opponent that was his way to toy with his opponent.

Murashi was not a sensory type of ninja. An ability he sometimes wish he did not lack, as useful was it could be in situations like this. He did however know how to use the environment to his advantage, caves included. They weren't just a place to get out of the rain, they were terrain with their own unique set of advantages and disadvantages.

They restricted movement, which was either a blessing or a curse depending on the situation. They usually had only one entrance, so were easy to defend, but also difficult to escape from if trapped. But that last one didn't matter, because Murashi had chosen the cave for a fairly different defensive purpose.

The entrance to the cave was the only source of light, so if something was to enter the shadow they would cast would be obvious enough for someone like Murashi, even if they were fairly silent.

Getting to his feet, his naginata grasped in his left hand, Murashi surveyed his surroundings. The space wasn't too wide, but he would be able to swing his weapon around without fear of unintentionally hitting the walls or columns, unless he was forced back to far that is. The rock itself was dry, shielded from the recent downpour, and he could see dust forming in from some places. The front part nearest the entrance was soaked for the rain, but at least that seemed to be letting up a little. He also noticed some of the dust blowing towards the back end of the cave.

Interesting.

His observation finished, Murashi called out to his new-found guest.

"So, is there any particular reason you've crept into this cave? It's rather rude, you know, inviting yourself in like that." His voice passive and unchanging.

Nagiko now knew he was spotted but knew the enemy couldn't see his face but walked partially out of the shadow where you could only see his neck and Nagiko said. " I'm Nagiko Rouge of The Grass Village. And i'm here to spread fear through The Rain Village and to try and find someone to join my organization" Nagiko said menacingly he seemed like some horrible monster now. He then aimed to charge at the kid and aimed to slice open his arm.

"How reckless" Murashi muttered.

First he lost his teammates.

Then he had to seek shelter from a brutal storm.

And now he was being attacked by some crazed missing nin

Oh how his day was going so far......

Spinning around to face his opponent he thrust his naginata forward, seeking to use its much greater reach to keep his opponent at bay

Nagiko threw a kunai threw a kunia at the kid aiming to stabb it into the kid.

"hm" Murashi grunted, using the bottom part of the shaft of his weapon to deflect the oncoming kunai.

"Such foolish actions" he muttered "Do you think I can be taken down so easily?"

With that he stepped forward, swinging his naginata, using the momentum of his earlier block to preform an right overhead slash aimed at his opponent.

At that moment Nagiko easily swerved to the side quickly took out a kunia and in a second worth of time got close enough to stabb the kunia into the kid and aimed to stab the kid in the stomach with the kunia.And said " I'll kill you you don't stand a chance." Nagiko said.

A light tang sounded throughout the cave as the kunia impacted against Murashi's right arm guard. His naginata remained where it had been still in his left hand, while he had used his right arm to block his opponents weapon.

"Such arrogance" Murashi whispered "One must wonder how you ever managed to elude hunter nin"

With that Murashi shoved the kunia away roughly with his right arm, before thrusting his right hand out aiming to hit his now close opponent with his right palm. His muscles tensed and bulged slightly, his bloodline activated.

Nagiko backed away just in time to dodge the palm and aimed to slice open the kids arm with his kunia.

Murashi's eyes narrowed, his opponent was faster than he had expected. But not fast enough, he had no time to fool around.

Twisting his right arm, Murashi struck the underside of his opponents kunia with the back of his hand, sending vibrations strong enough to shatter the object as he did.

This nin would learn to fear his bloodline.

Nagiko saw the kunia break in his hand and he just chuckled and said "when you can do that and your only a genin your pretty good but not good enough." Nagiko then backed away and said "now whatch a true master at work." Nagiko said and did a series of handsigns and said "Lightning Blade." Nagiko said and lightning came out of his hands and his hands were together almost as if holding a sword and the lightning folded and twisted until it formed a lightning sword around his hands and he said with an evil look on his face "I wouldn't get too close to this sword a. it could shock you and b. it can cut through pretty much everything and your arm would be no exception." Nagiko said while having an evil look on his face.

His face impassive, Murashi brought both of his hands onto the hilt of his naginata, left hand near the bottom of the weapon and his right a few inches above its center.

"How unfortunate for you" His voice showed no change as he spoke "to be so cocky and so outmatched"

With that he brought his weapon back towards him, readying it is a swinging style stance. Unleashing his chakra flow into his weapon he readied himself.

Lightning was no match for wind after all.

"I'll show you just how much stronger I am." Nagiko yelled and charged into battle and aimed to break the naginata.

Without a word Murashi swung his wind-enhanced weapon to meet his opponents lightning sword. Using both hands to increase both the force and speed of his attack, while also allowing him to maintain distance between himself and his enemy.

The two clashed and sparks and wind went flying everywhere the cave's walls cracked open from the force and the sound made both kids ears bleed.
