Cardfight (Lightning and Bird)

There was a mysterious masked figure in the dark alleyways. They've been calling this person, Shade. Rumor had it, Shade would go around cardfighting in the alleyways taking on any challenger. Shade had yet to be beaten. Shade would stand there cloaked, with a mask covering the face. There was a fight table with a grade 0 covering the Vanguard circle. Around the table were several challengers that had lost and were completely heartbroken. Shade would just stand there, waiting for someone worthy.

Diaki Eiji was the next guy only starting Vanguard yesterday he only had a starter deck that he bought he walked up and placed the deck down. To be honest he was nervous seeing all the guys who were expierienced fail made him worried. Diaki placed his own Vanguard down pointed to the name and said. "I play Lizard Soldier, Sishin." Diaki said.

Grade:0

“You must be new” Shade would say behind the mask. “You have guts I'll give you that. I'll start. Draw!” (Hand = 6) “I ride Succubus of Pure Love. Barmaid Grace has forerunner, so I'll move her back to the Rearguard. It's your turn.”

Diaki said "Yes I started Vanguard yesterday." Diaki said then he drew a card. "I ride Red River Dragoon. And then I call Lizard Soldier, Rikki." Diaki said he was still nervous. Diaki then put his Red River Dragoon and Lizard Soldier, Riki into attack position. "I attack your Vanguard with Red River Dragoon with Lizard Soldier, Riki supporting him." Diaki said.

Red River Dragoon, grade=1, power=8000

In the rear guard he place Lizard Soldier, Sishin in the middle back rear guard, ability=ACT V/R counter cost 1, This unit gets +1000 until end of turn. Rear guard on the left of the front empty. Rear guard on the right in the front empty. Rear guard on the left of the front empty. Rear guard on the left of the back coloumn empty. Rear guard on the right in the back coloumn empty.

“I don't guard” Shade would say. With Red River Dragoon at 15000 the attack would go through. Dragoon's lance would slice her Sucuubus in the hips causing her pain. Shade would then wait for his drive check before doing her damage check.

Diaki then took the top card and revealed it. "No trigger." Diaki said she now had a single damage.

Shade would reveal her top card, “Damage Check” It was Grade 2 thus no trigger. With his turn over, Shade would start with saying, “Draw! I Ride Psychic of Dust, Izaya. Boosted by Grace, Izaya attacks!” The attack was coming in at 14000 with the possibility of getting a trigger.

"I don't guard." The attack hit.

Izaya with his Psychic Skateboard would punch Dragoon with a green lightning fist. “Driver Trigger check, Heal Trigger! Adding 5000 to my Vanguard and recovering one damage.” Shade would say bringing the damage back down to zero. This would end Shade's turn bringing it over to Diaki.

Diaki drew. "I ride Brightjet Dragon." Diaki said and then he placed Brightjet Dragon and Lizard Soldier, Riki in attack position to Shade's Vanguard. "I will pay one soul to counter blast Lizard Soldier, Riki by doing this Lizard Soldier, Riki gains 1000 until end of turn. And Brightjet Dragon uses his ability to gain 3000 in power. This makes my attack 19000 power. I'll attack your Vanguard." Diaki said.

Rear front left guard empty. Rear front right guard empty. Vanguard circle Brightjet Dragon. Rear middle back coloumn guard Lizard Soldier, Riki. Rear left back coloumn empty. Rear right back coloumn empty.

“I don't guard” Shade would say. Brightjet Dragon would fly down and hit Izaya. Question now was whether Diaki would draw a trigger.

"Stand Trigger but since I have no Rear guard that can attack I will give the power to my Vanguard and end my turn." Diaki said.

“Damage Check, No trigger” Shade would say. They were now tied each with 1 damage (I think). “Draw.” Shade would say before chuckling happily. “Leader of Darkness! Subjecate those who would apose me! I ride, Amon's Leader, Astaroth!” With a grade 3 on the field things were going to get interesting.

“I call, Demon World Marquis, Amon and Amon's Follower, Hell's Deal to the Rearguard. Using Deal's skill, if she is called to the Rearguard and I have a Vanguard with 'Amon' in it's name, I get to soul charge 2 cards.”

“That's not all, I'll also activate Barmaid Grace's skill, Counter Blast 1 card and Rest, meaning I won't be able to use her for boosting this turn. However I get to soul charge 2 more cards. Not only that but I can give a unit with 'Amon' in the name +1000 power times every card in my soul until the end of my turn. I choose my vanguard, and since I have 6 cards in my soul he's power is at 17000.”

“Now then Boosted by Deal, my Marquis attacks your Vanguard. (17000 power). After that my Vanguard will attack your Vanguard for (17000 power).” Shade would then wait to see if he'd guard any of her attacks before drive checking.

"I will guard your first attack with Dragon Dancer, RaiRai and Yellow Gem Carbuncle. I don't guard your second." Diaki said.

Dragon Dancer, RaiRai=5000 shield

Yellow Gem Carbuncle=10000 shield

For 15000 shield.

“Twin Drive check! First, nothing. Second, nothing” Shade would say adding the two cards in her hand. “Look like it's your turn.” Shade said after he would damage check.

Diaki drew his card and said "I call Shieldblade Dragoon, a second Shield blade Dragoon. It is said that dragons ruled the Earth during ancient times. And now, powers of the mythic ages shall revive. I ride my Avatar, Thunderstorm Dragoon! Then I call Red River Dragoon, and Old Dragon Mage." Diaki said he wondered if this would be enough.

Left front Rear Guard=ShieldBlade Dragoon, ability=auto: When this unit intercepts if you have a Narukami Vanguard, this unit gains +5000 shield until end of that battle, power=8000, shield=5000, grade=2.

Vanguard Circle=Thunderstorm Dragoon, power=10000, grade=2.

Right front Rear Guard=ShieldBlade Dragoon, everything same as other ShieldBlade Dragoon.

Left back coloumn=Red River Dragoon, power=8000, grade=1.

Middle back coloumn=Lizard Soldier, Riki, power=7000, ability=act V/R: Counter Blast=1: This unit gets +1000 power until end of turn, grade=1.

Right back coloumn=Old Dragon Mage, power=5000, grade=0.

Interesting, Shade didn't know if he was simply new or if he already figured out her strategy. No matter though, the Dark Irregulars always had more tricks up their sleeves. “By the way just as a heads up, if you want to Ride on your turn you have to do it first before you call rearguards. It's fine for now, but just as a heads up” Shade would say. Despite the mysterious and sinister vibe Shade had, it seemed that they still nice enough to give advice to an opponent. “So who is attacking?”

"Oh well my Red River Dragoon will support my Shieldblade Dragoon in an attack against your Vanguard for 16000 then my Lizard Soldier, Riki will use his counter blast to gain +1000 then support my Avatar Thunderstorm Dragoon in an attack against your Vanguard with a power of 18000. Then my Old Dragon Mage will support my other Shieldblade Dragoon in an attack against your Vanguard for a power of 13000." Diaki said.

“I'll guard your first attack with a Hell's Trick!” Shade would say revealing the heal trigger from her hand with a shield of 10000. When his Vanguard came in she would say “No guard” before waiting for his drive check. When the third attack came, she would use another Hell's trick that was in her hand to guard. It was going to stop the last attack even if he got a trigger and gave it to his Rearguard.

"A critical trigger I give the critical to my Vanguard and the power to my right Shieldblade Dragoon." Diaki said.

Shade would damage check two cards, nether were triggers bringing her up to 3 damage. With his last attack guarded against it was Shade's turn. “Stand and Draw!” Shade said. “I call Demon of Aspiration, Amon”



“Now then Demon of Aspiration, Amon will attack your Left Rearguard. Also his skill activates. If I have 6 or more cards in my soul, Demon of Aspiration gets +3000 power during my turn. (He's at 11000). After that with a boost from Barmaid Grace, Amon's Leader will attack your Vanguard. (16000)” Shade said. Whatever Shade got in the drive check would determine where her last attack would be sent to.

Diaki said. "I don't guard your first but will guard your second with Zephyr Kid, Hayate with a shield of 10000 and with Yellow Gem Carbuncle with 10000 shield bringing my guard up to 20000 shield." Diaki said.

“Very well, first check! Nothing. Second check. Nothing.” Shade said before putting the cards into her hand. “Lastly boosted by Deal, Amon attacks the Vanguard! (17000)”

"I will Intercept with Shieldblade Dragoon and use his ability to bring his shield to 10000." Diaki said.

“Very well it's your turn.” Shade would say. Shade had 3 damage while he was still at 2. To make matters worse, Shade wasn't able to even hit him this turn.
