Cooking for Dummies (Naka and Kiyos)

Toshi was walking back to the Nara house, carrying a mountain load of groceries. She was making dinner, for once that night. But she was oblivious to the fact that she sucked at cooking. And everytime she made something, it went wrong. "Gah..."

Kiyos was playing his flute intone to his music as he saw a girl with alot of bags. Placing his flute in his pocket he walked up to the girl " Do you need help carrying those bags?" looking at her he let out a small gentle smile as he held out his hand offering to carry her bags.

Toshi sighed with relief and gave him a few bags. The gentleness of his voice made her trust him somewhat. She shifted the bags in her arms and smiled up to him, blushing with embarrassment. "Hello! Thanks, I would've made a clone but I'm out of chakra. I'm Satoshi Kuroda, call me Toshi," she said, grinning. "What's your name?"

He smiled looking at Toshi. " I'm Kiyos Aburame" His voice was soft and kind as the words exited his mouth. " Nice to meet you Toshi-Chan" he smiled as he held the bags and stood looking at her " So where to." he asked as he had no idea where he was going.

"Ah, well, I have to make dinner for four tonight, so....um..." Toshi frowned, biting her bottom lip as she thought. The dinner was supposed to be a big surprise, so she couldn't go to the big house. But maybe she could go to a friend's house. "Um, it's right this way!" She smiled innocently up at him and led him the way.

Kiyos smiled as he followed her holding the bags. He walked up next to her. " So Is the dinner you cooking for your family Toshi-chan" He looked at her with a curious face. as he continue to follow her.

Toshi shook her head, messing up her hair even more. "My family? I'm an only child and my parents died when I was a baby," she said, smiling calmly.

Kiyos looked down " Sorry Toshi-chan, My parents also died when i was a baby." He looked up as slightly smiled hoping he didn't hurt her feelings.

"Nah, I don't mind. They're in heaven now," she said, casting the sky a dreamy glance. "But I wonder if Daddy married her there?"

Kiyos smiled looking at her day dream. he looked up as well as the sun shine was still warm and the sky ever so blue. Kiyos smiling spoke " It so pretty." His voice was soft and kind as he he then looked at Toshi with a warm smiled.

Toshi replied the smile with a sweet one. "Yup! I know! Mama said she wanted a dress as blue as the sky and I could be the flower girl, even if I was just crawling, hehe. Hey, d'you know how to cook?"

Kiyos smiled back. " Yes i do i been cooking since i was small." Kiyos looked at her " Would you like me to help you prepare the meal with you Toshi-chan" His smile was kind, warm and gentle as he spoke. " I wouldn't mind helping you, I would really like to." he looked at her with excitement with his crystal blue eyes.

"Really? Thank you! I haven't tried cooking for a long time. I don't know why, but I was forbidden from the kitchen," she said, shrugging. She would have hugged him if they weren't carrying bags.

Kiyos smiled " no problem at all Toshi-chan" He was happy to help and excited he looked at her " So were are we going to cook?"

"Ah, the house I talked about is near here. I want to make lots of yummy food tonight, so I kinda overdid the shopping, heh."

Kiyos looked at the bags " Yeah maybe just a bit." His voice was soft and calm " but the more the better" His eyes showed excitement and he was ready to start " So how much further Toshi?"

"Here we are." She smiled, turned a corner and came to a normal-looking house, but empty. Toshi fished out a key from her pocket, unlocked the door and went straight to the kitchen. "Let's get started!"

Kiyos smiled as he looked around the house as he followed Toshi to the kitchen. " ok lets see what in these bags placing the bags on a near by table he open them. his eyes opened wide " wow thats alot of stuff Toshi-chan, This dinner must mean alot." He was so excited that he wanted to jump up and down with all the food he could cook. he was full of amazement as he clapped his hand together bouncing a little.

"Yup, it's really special! I wanna make sure everything is delicious. What should we start making?" She was determined to make it a good dinner.

Kiyos smiled as he looked at the bag and all the food " How about we make some Korokke, Some different types Dumplings, Some Miso ramen." Kiyos smiled as he washed his hands and started chopping veggies

"Can we make tempura and udon too? Maybe hotpot, but is that too much? And ganmodoki and takoyaki too," she said dreamily as she washed her hands.

" nothing to much Toshi-chan" He smiled as he put on a apron and continued to chopped tons of veggies " what should we do first?"

"Traditional riceballs! I haven't made those in a while! I'll go wash the rice."

~ 5 Minutes later ~

"Uwaa...Kiyos-chan..." Toshi sniffed and held the pot out to him. The rice had somehow been ground into powder and dissolved into the water. "I was t-too rough on it..."

Kiyos looked at it as he looked at her and got more rice " Ok lets wash it together Toshi-chan" He smiled as he grabbed her hands placing it on the rice helping her wash it softly and gently " See not to hard, right Toshi-chan" He smiled looking at her.

Though she was rough, her hands remained small and soft like a little girls'. After it was properly washed, she grinned and set it to cook. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! Kiyos-chan, can I call you Nii-san?" she asked, hugging him.
