A girl with brown hair walked the streets, her head down. She was cradling something and wasn't watching her way. Not only that, she walked slowly and uncertainly. Some people gave her glances, but just then walked on.

Kaji was laying in his hammock sipping on iced tea while watching Nami run around in the front yard. the girl was chasing a purple butterfly

The brunette passed a few houses. But then, coincidentally, she tripped in front of one. She gasped and fell on her face before getting on her knees and patting the ground to find what she was holding.

Nami saw a girl fall down so she walked over " Hello are you okay" she said lookling down at the brown haired girl

Kaji noticed nami walk outside the yard " Nami stay inside the ground " he called

She blinked and smiled and nodded, but was off of Nami's direction. She was blind. Then she found it - what she had been holding was an injured bird.

what happened to the bird " she said helping the older girl up

Toshi cradled it in her hand. "I don't know. I can't see. But I heard it on the ground in the streets," she said sadly. "Poor thing."

"your blind...Nami knew a blind girl in the orphanage "

Toshi nodded and smiled. Her big brown eyes that usually had a hyper twinkle, were now dead and emotionless. "Yeah...may I touch your face? I'd like to know how you look like."

Nami cant let you your, hands are dirty sowwie " she sighed

Kaji approached "oi nami go inside I have to talk to this girl " he said sadly

Toshi tilted her head and smiled. Nami sounded like a sweet little girl. She pulled a big sucker lolipop from her pocket, and put it in Nami's hand. "Thank you for helping me...not many people would stop for a blind kid." She turned to the other person's direction and smiled politely. "Yes? Who are you?"

Nami skipped back to the house

"I am the one you hate most " Kaji said "why are you in kirigakure and an even better question is why are you alone"

She looked confused. "I don't hate anyone. Spinach is a food, not a person. " She gently stroked the bird's head. "I'm not in Iwa?" she asked shakily. "Who are you?" Toshi stepped back. She tripped.

Kaji Nara " he said looking at her " your a long way from Iwa " he said catching her in with his shadow

"One, I don't hate you, two, bye bye," she squeaked, getting up shakily and falling on her face again. "Jeez...wish I could see..."

Kaji sighed and helped her to her feet "what you need is a stick ... or a dog " he said dusting her off

She shook her head and managed to slap his hand away. "I just need someone to take care of me. Which way do I go?"

" your blind these are just tools so you can look after yourself " he said rubbing the spot where she slapped him. " why wasnt Aiden watching you"

"He is. If I get in trouble, he'll jump in. He's always watching me. He gave me a challenge to travel and be able to act normal." She smiled and cupped her face. "At least I'll never see my ugly face again."

" you havent changed much in the last year and a half. " he said taking a step back " still stupidly believe your ugly when in fact your cute " he said smiling weakly

She held up her hands timidly. "Can I touch you? I wanna know how much you changed after you stopped wanting or loving me," she said bluntly.

"alright but your a mess come inside and wash up" he said

She looked around aimlessly. "Where do I go?"
