Kana gets up an undoes her broadsword and lays it down.

"So are we staying in Ame or do you have a place in mind?"

"Let's stay in Ame. I'm sure there'll be something we can do."Naka was twirling in circles lazily, a hazy look over her eyes. "We just need to find a pub first. We're ninja, so they should give us alcohol...screw age limit, that's for nnn-ninjas..."

"haha, plus I am known as my assasin name here so it should be easy."

Kana followed Naka while twirling as well.

"Hohoho they will serve us until we have our fill. Isn't that right, Chewy?!" Naka grinned and stopped spinning when she spotted a pub that didn't look too crowded. Most of the drinkers were still quiet but friendly, so they musn't have had much to drink yet. "Shall we go there?"

"Sounds good to me, never been in there before."

Kana smiled while Chewy wagged his tail.

It's nice to see you Naka.

Chewy sent his message while sniffing Naka's leg.

"They can serve Chewy some grilled meat while we drink." Naka pulled Kana into the pub and the two sat at the corner. "Sake please! And meat for our cute puppy."

The bartender looks down the bar at Naka and Kana and nodded then saw Chewy and smiled. He then set the meat in front of Chewy, and sat the saki bottle and two cups in font of Naka and Kana.

Kana picks up her glass and raises it.

"To a girl's night out."

"To a girls night out, all the way to dawn." Naka clinked her cup with Kana, grinning, and downed it in one gulp. She would be perfectly fine for the first two cups. But at the third cup, it was as if someone triggered a switch and bam - drunken kid. She rubbed Chewy's head as she waited for the second cup. "Animals can't drink alcohol, can they?"

"Chewy can, he is not just an animal. But I don't know what else he is."

Kana poured some saki in a little bowl that was on the counter and set it on the floor. Chewy sniffed and then started to lap up the saki

Naka watched curiously as Chewy drank up the rice sake. It would go well with the grilled meat, she knew that. But then she looked up at Kana, worried. "W-Will he get drunk if he drinks too much? Would that kill him??"

"He never has and I've seen him and Mentor down three bottles."

Kana smiled while Chewy stopped drinking to eat on his meat.

"Whoaaaa three bottles. He must be a pro." Naka smiled and sipped on her second bottle. She sighed peacefully and leaned against the table. "How much can YOU handle, Kana."

"Only around two, that's why I never drank with them two. What about you?"

".....two." 'Cups.' "When I have my third, I apparently go crazy drunk and start making no sense in neither my actions nor words. So when I do, don't worry. It's just the alcohol talking."

"I'll make sure to remember that. Do you want some more Chewy?"

Kana looked at Chewy only to see that the bartender had refilled the bowl and brought more meat, and Chewy's head was in the saki bowl.

"Never mind. You know Naka, do you have any clue what Chewy could also be?"

"Mm.... A spirit of a sword. After a hundred years of abandonment, he came to life as a youkai and is able to take solid form. So he turned into... Chewy," she said, telling it like a ghost story. Naka grinned and giggled. "Maybe."

"It's as good as anything I could come up with and I have been traveling trying to find out. I know Mr. Neko rescued Chewy and Sage from a research lab that wanted the perfect attack dog. By the way, Sage is white and is Chewy's mate. But not even Mr. Neko knows all of the secrets about Chewy and Sage."

Chewy made a strange sound like a burp and laid down.

That was amazing.

"...oh mi gosh, Chewy can burp." she said, amazed. That just blew her mind. It was better than a smiling cat. Naka blinked and turned back to Kana. "Do you think Sage knows? And...where is she?"

"Sage mostly stays with Mr. Neko, like Chewy does with me. An both Chewy and Sage can't remember anything past the pain of that lab and being rescued from there. When spring comes, Chewy and Sage go off by themselves for awhile and I visit Mr. Neko."

Kana scratches the back of Chewy's head and smiles.

"An Sage burps louder that Chewy does."

"Animals can find love too... That's soooo romantic," she sighed dreamily. "Humans waste love yet animals cherish it...it makes us no better than beasts." Naka poured them the third cup, though she didn't drink herself yet. "Do they have puppies yet?"

"Not yet, but I did get a letter saying that it was almost time to visit, so maybe this time."

Kana smiled while Chewy's tail thumped the floor at the thought of seeing Sage.

"Aww he misses her...that's sooo cute." Naka smiled and leaned over to stroke his head. "Love is beautiful when it's real... How old are Chewy and Sage, by the way?"

"Well Chewy has grown up with me, so I think he would be my age. Sage would be a little older than him."

Kana said smiling and watching Chewy's tail thump the floor while Naka pet him.

"Oooh, so Chewy likes his women older, eh?" she teased, waggling her eyebrows. Naka laughed and ordered some grilled meat for herself. "You grew up with him? Hm...so he might even be older than you. Was he still a pup when you first met?"

"Yeah, Mentor bought him for me, when I still lived in the clan me and my sister found an injured wolf. We nursed him back to health and he became very friendly. Then one day a few kids started to pick on us because of the eye color. They drew blood after a strong hit and the wolf attacked to protect me. The clan leader put him down. So then Mentor bought me Chewy."

Kana smiled at Chewy and ordered meat too.
