Death Sword Scroll (May get Mature)

Shiro did not hesitate to let go of his weapon, staring at Misaki.
How could this have happened when it was Shiro's task to take care of his little brother?
He only knew one of the men but that was enough for Shiro to try what he always did.
"Please don't hurt him. I'll... I'll stay here if you let him go with him", Shiro said, pointing at Tsukiakara.

“Ok, you got me” Tsukiakara threw one of his blades on the ground. And as soon as the blade hit the ground the man with the blade at Misaki’s throat froze in a block of ice. He then pointed his other sword at the other man. “You don’t even want to know what this one does.” He motioned the sword to the guy to get out of here and the man ran out into the hallway as fast as he could. “Now go untie Misaki we‘re getting out of here” He said as he picked up his sword. He then waved the sword and a pillar of ice smashed through the wall creating an escape to the outside.

Shiro hurried over, untying Misaki and closing him in his arms.
Both boys were crying and holding on to each other.
Shiro was relieved that Misaki was dressed, at least they did not seem to have touched him.
"Where are we going?", Misaki asked when Shiro picked him up to carry him despite the pain.

“Away from here” When Shiro and Misaki got out of the building, Tsukiakara used his other sword to send several fireballs into the structure. Hopefully the fire will spread and burn the scrolls. “Ok lets go” he said as he led the way into the nearby forest.

Shiro followed as quickly as possible, which was rather slow.
A short while after they had reached the forest, his legs gave in.
Misaki was too heave and the pain was too bad to go on like this.
"Tsuki-kun, what is wrong with him?", Misaki asked, worried. He had almost fallen from Shiro's back when the boy had broken down to his knees and climbed down now.

Tsukiakara went back to Shiro. “It’s not safe here do you think you can keep going if I carry Misaki?”

Shiro nodded, embarrassed of his own weakness.
Misaki moved over to Tsukiakara, trusting both the elder boys.
But even though Shiro knew Tsukiakara only wanted to help he kept a sharp eye on him.
He would not let anyone harm Misaki again.

They had traveled for several minutes until they got to a bank of a huge river. They were all tired but Tsukiakara didn't like the idea of stoping. But then again running ragged wasn't going to help them either. "Lets all take a breather here" he said setting Misaki down. Tsukiakara sat down tired. He looked at the river and that's when it came to him. "A raft!" They could build a raft. Granted that it would take an hour or so but if they built it they could conseve energy and be moving at the same time.

Shiro did not hear the boy's exclamation. For the last few minutes he had already been running on empty and now he lay on his back grimacing from the pain. Misaki sat down next to him, still worried. He stroked Shiro's hair, watching Tsukiakara carefully. The youngest of their group expected Tsukiakara to do something about Shiro's pain and to help them.

Well first things first they needed something to eat and those men took the last of his food scrolls. “Stay here I’ll be back” After several minutes Tsukiakara came back with various fruits and raw vegetables. After they ate he could get working on the raft.

Shiro and Misaki ate as hurriedly as usually, always fearing someone might take the food away from them. It was not much but enough to satisfy their hungry stomachs. "Can I sleep? A little?", Shiro asked. Sleeping was the only way to escape the pain, although Shiro knew he would have nightmares.

“Sure but I’m going to have to wake you later.” He said. He then went to a tree and took his sword chopping it down. One down about six more to go.

Shiro did not mind. His head resting on Misaki's lap he dozed off and was fast asleep soon.
Misaki kept stroking his elder "brother's" head, watching Kai work.

As was expected it took hour to completely build the raft. Luckily they went attacked but it wasn’t going to be long until someone caught up. He got more fruits and then went to Shiro to wake him up.

Shiro mumbled in his sleep and Misaki had dozed off while sitting, surprised when Tsukiakara waked them up. "Shiro... we're leaving", Misaki said softly. Shiro nodded and got up. He still felt sore and tired but he could get some more rest on the raft Tsukiakara built.

It felt good to relax after all they’ve been through. But they weren’t in the clear yet. As the raft slowly floated down the river, Tsukiakara would look at both banks looking for any thing suspicious.

Shiro lay on his back, the raft was just big enough to do so.
Misaki lay next to him, hugging him to keep each other warm.
When Shiro had fallen asleep, Misaki looked up at Tsukiakara.
"What happened to him, Tsuki-kun?", the eight-year-old asked, worried.

Tsukiakara looked at the boy not knowing what to say to him. “They tortured him” he said. He looked back at banks. Maybe if they were lucky this would be the river that went straight Tanigakure.

"Like me?", Misaki said, his face serious. "He always wants to protect me. I... I feel bad because if that. I don't want him to be hurt", the boy said, tears shining in his eyes.

“It’s ok” Tsukiakara said. He put his arm around him trying to comfort him. He hoped some good sleep was going to be enough to get Shiro better but if it didn’t he had some herbs he got on his last food hunt that would help the pain. The only drawback to it was it needed to be heated over a fire and a fire could led those people straight toward them.

Misaki huddled himself against Tsukiakara.
"I'm glad you're not a bad person like they are. Shiro would never bring me to a bad person", he said, looking at the sleeping elder.

They drifted peacefully for several hours. Occasionally, Tsukiakara would eat a piece of fruit from the stash he brought. He continued to look at the banks checking for any signs of movement.

Misaki had dozed off leaning against Tsukiakara.
Eventually, Shiro woke up, seeming a little confused as they were moving.
"Where are we?", he asked, looking up at Tsukiakara tiredly.

“I don’t know but this river is bond to lead to a…” Just then Tsukiakara looked up ahead. It was far and barely visible but it was there. It was a small little village on the side of the riverbank. Tsukiakara turned the raft the to the village not believing how lucky they were.

Shiro had noticed it too, glad they were safe for at least a little while.
"If they're really searching for you... which they will, as long as you're with us... you should leave the country. The village is good for now but we can't stay. They're everywhere", Shiro warned him.
