Misaki quickly finished eating and then followed Tsukiakara outside.
Maybe he could at least see that girl again today...
"I'm nervous", Misaki whispered, holding the elder's hand while they were walking.

“It’s ok” he tried to comfort the boy. They arrived at the school. “Well have fun”.

Misaki nodded, knowing he would not have fun at all.
The first two hours were ok, for the break he fled to the same place he had met the girl the day before, hoping for her to come back.

Muki was on a tree branch waiting for Misaki. She swung upside down so that Misaki could see her while using her legs to hang on to the branch. She held the same ball in her hands. “Hi Misaki, do you want to play?”

Misaki nodded, he seemed down although he was happy to see her.
Waiting for her to throw the ball he kept looking over his shoulder to see if any of the other boys was coming over to them to be mean again.

As it just so happened there was three boy’s walking towards the two. “Hey! New kid! We didn’t give you a proper induction yesterday and we want to make it up to you!” The middle one said with a evil grin on his face. Muki heard and gave a worried looked at Misaki. “Hurry climb the tree before they get here!” she said.

Misaki hurried towards the tree but he was too slow, one of the others was already blocking his path. Sending a scared look up at Muki, Misaki stood and waited. It was best not to make those boys angry, Misaki knew that already. He had been punished enough to know it was best to get this over with quickly. "I'm Misaki", he said, playing their game of 'introduction'.

“I don’t think we asked for your name Bud.” said the one that seemed to be the leader. He gave a signal to one of his suburbanites who proceeded to pull up his sleeves to look though. He pulled his arm back as though he was going to punch him. But before he could Muki had jumped from the tree and grabbed the boy from the back. “RUN MISAKI” she pleaded. The weak little girl was no match for the kid however as he broke her grip and pushed her down.

Misaki cowered a little when he thought he was going to be hit but suddenly Muki jumped down to help him. Misaki was too scared to run and too soon Muki was shoved to the ground. "Muki!", Misaki screamed, worried. He knelt down beside the girl, leaning over her to protect her. "You don't have to help me", he whispered but sounded afraid. "I will protect you, I don't want them to hurt you", he said. Muki was his only friend at school. Also, Misaki always had to be protected by others, he wanted to be like Shiro, protecting someone himself.

“Oh really and how are you going to stop us” The other subordinate said laughing, The closed around the two. “Today class we are going to teach you a very important lesson.” The leader said. Muki got up. “Not today you won’t Lee” She had been keeping a secret from Misaki but it was either reveal it now or get the beating of a life time. Ram-Boar-Ox-Dog-Snake. “Let’s go” she whispered. She grabbed Misaki’s arm tight as she led them in there run away.

Misaki followed her, he was too surprised by what he had just seen. How had she done that? Now that they were running and people had seen what had happened, more were following them and Misaki felt like he had put Muki in trouble. "I'm sorry", he said, while they were still running.

The three boys were surprised when they found out that they were punching a ball and a log. “Spread out” the Leader said. Muki led them to the edge of the wall. She uncovered a hole that was big enough to fit small children such as themselves. “You first" she said trying to catch her breath. The way she was doing things clearly indicated that she had done this before.

Misaki did what she said, then waited for her to follow. The shouts of the other boys were close to them, too close Misaki thought. Not knowing what normal boys did he feared he would be punished as he had been by the organization. Maybe even they way Shiro had been punished. He was shaking violently, almost crying from fear.

Muki followed and re-hid the entrance behind her. She leaned back against the wall catching her breath. “We should be safe here” she said.

Misaki put both arms around her, crying. He never wanted to go back to school, as soon as he got out of there hideout they would hurt him, he knew it.

“Want to play a game now”, she said hoping that this would cheer Misaki up.

Misaki shook his head, still holding her tight. "I wanna go home", he sobbed. Of course she could not understand why he was so afraid, she was probably only imagining a tough beating when she thought of meeting those boys. But Misaki did not know that it was not normal to be tortured. "I wanna go home", he repeated, sounding frightened.

“Home is that way” she said pointing at the entrance in which they came in. “I don’t want to go Home”

"But... I don't wanna be here", Misaki said, still not letting go of her. He was shaking so hard she probably felt it. If there was no other way, they would have to wait until class started and then make their way home. If the boys were not waiting for them, but they would not dare skipping class, would they?

“Really, we should play a game” She said. She took his took one of his arms again and took him past some trees. “Ok close your eyes” she said.

Misaki closed his eyes, he was tense and there were still tears running down his face. He held on to her tightly, not even caring if it might hurt her, because he did not want her to go away and leave him alone.

“Ok open them”, she had brought him to a quite little steam. “Isn’t beautiful?”

Misaki was so surprised that he forgot to be afraid for a moment.
Still staying close to Muki, he looked at the beautiful little scene in front of them.
"How did you find this?", he asked, his eyes wide.
"This is so beautiful..."

“I made that secret entrance a years ago so I can get away from Lee and his friends. I found this stream, it’s been like my sanctuary. When ever I come here my worries just seem to wash down the stream.” She sat down and threw a round stone into a stream. “Your turn” she said.

Misaki was not sure if it would work like she said but he sat down next to her and threw a small stone. "Thank you, Muki", he said, his voice barely more than a whisper. "I should've protected you", he added, feeling guilty. People always had to protect him and never did Misaki himself do something useful.
