Unlikely Friends (Bird Mom MATURE private)

Rin growled as she went up and down the market looking at the different shop stop stalls. Her stupid sister just HAD to have whatever trinket it was ... Omamori or something. Who the heck cared? So what she wanted to get some stupid gift for her boyfriend. Ugh, oh well. She was here, might as well get used to it.

The no named man codenamed “Arseface” was also at the market place. He had one of those small lollipops in his mouth. He took out a picture from his pocket. It was his new target to capture. Too bad it was all a blur, even he couldn't make out who or what was in it. He sighed. “This is hopeless” He said softly to himself. Without looking he bumped into someone. “So sorry about that” He said accidentally dropping the picture to the ground.

Rin growled. "Watch where you're going and you wouldn't walk into people." She said picking up the picture and handing it to him. Wait, that was her in that picture. Oh sure it was blurry, but it was her and her two sisters. She didn't dare mention it, for fear of why he would be carrying her picture, but turned and pretended to continue shopping. What she was really doing was trying to put as much distance between her and the man.

He took the picture and put it in his pocket but he did note how she looked at it for the few seconds she had it. She must of known something because she was practically speed walking away. It looked like his luck streak was still on his side. Well the only thing to do was play some cat and mouse. It was time for a few clones to help him out. Two clones spawned right next to him in a flick of a wrist. “Take the rooftops. I'll follow on the street.” Arseface told them. The sooner he got this game over with the more time he would have relaxing later on.

Rin saw the amulet her sister had wanted, so she stopped at the stall and chatted with the shop keeper for a bit. When they were done, she paid for the trinket and turned, walking towards where she had met the man. She discovered he was following her. Oh well, it was too much to hope he wouldn't follow, so she took a preemptive move. "Hey, look, I was pretty mean to you. Why don't we sit down and have some ramen so I can apologize properly."

“Oh?” He said catching up to her. A bowl of roman didn't sound to bad at all. Besides all he wanted for now was information he couldn't have imagined that she was in the picture. He smiled. “I would love a bowl of roman!” He shouted excitedly kind of like a little kid would.

She laughed softly and led him to a ramen shop, sitting down. Everything was going well, he wouldn't try anything about her. "So, what brings you to Hoshigakure? I'm here because my idiot sister decided she needed some stupid gift for her new boyfriend. I don't know why I had to get it or why it had to be from here. Maybe they just wanted alone time."

“I'm just here on business sort of.” He chucked a bit. He could barely call it business he was just wondering around trying to get a hint. “So is she your younger or older sister?” He then asked just to get a better grasp on her situation. Even though the noddles weren't severed yet the smell of it cooking was just wonderful.

"Oh, my older sister. If it had been my younger sister I'd have told her to do it herself." She said, running her fingers through her hair. Oh, it smelled so good in here. The noodles made her mouth water like crazy. Speaking of which, where was her sister? She had been sent to Suna, but the last she had heard from her was that she had started the crossing over the desert. Oh, Rin hoped Shinju was ok.

“Well I guess that makes sense.” He said back. It definitely made sense that the older sister sent the younger so 'alone time' can be had. Finally the bowls of steaming roman. The no named man smiled happily, taking his chop sticks and started to dig in. After a few slurps he got back to business. “So this picture.” He said taking the same blurry picture out. “I was sent to find who ever or whatever was in that picture and capture them alive. Only problem is I can't tell what's in it. Have any ideas?” He asked still unaware it was her.

She shook her head. "No, but I don't typically hand over the people I know to strangers. Besides, how do I know that, if I knew who was in the picture, they'd stay alive for long." She took a few slurps. Was he really that blind to not see if she was the one in the picture? Oh well, no sense in making it too easy on him. Oh many was this ramen amazing. She smiling and ordered herself another bowl.

The way she worded her sentence hinted a lot. “Something tells me you do know. Not only that but you care about the person enough to not want harm to them. In fact if I had to guess.” Before he finished his sentence he started to finish off his own bowl. When it was all gone he spoke again. “It's your own sister is it not?” He said with a smirk feeling confident that he got it right.

Rin laughed a rather hearty laugh. "No, no, why would my sister be in your picture?" Granted, both Shinju and Yuko were in the picture, but she was in the center of it. "No, I'm afraid you're wrong sir. Like I said I don't know who it is." He was a good guesser though. It was true, she knew the person, and she did care about the person in the photo. Obviously she would care about herself, not wanting herself to come to harm.

“And I'll say again. Why would you care about the person in the picture if you didn't know who they were?” He said back. He was done eating now all he wanted to do was talk.

"I don't care for the person in the picture." She replied and shrugged. "I just don't like to see random people getting hunted down if there's no reason for it." She ordered some Sake and took a nice long sip. "Ahh, that hit the spot."

He watched her start sipping the sake. “There's a reason alright but I got to admit I don't quite no what my client's reason is. Anyways, sorry for wasting your time.” He said taking the picture back from her. He didn't believe her but consistently asking wasn't going to get him anywhere. “Don't drink to much of that. You might make yourself sick” He advised.

She raised an eyebrow. "I know. I'm not some young little thing." She cautioned. And then regretted it. Better your enemy think you defenseless than strong. "But anyway, would you like some?" She offered him a small cup of it. "It's on me."

He shook his head no. “Thanks but no. I don't really like the taste of it in my mouth for some reason.” He admitted. He then looked at the chief. “I think I'll have another bowl please.” He said.

Rin nodded. Her other bowl was sat in front of her and she began to eat it, hoping he'd quick asking about the picture. I mean really how blind could a person be? Oh well, his loss. And her, because he wasn't that bad looking.

He was really that blind about that photo but it didn't seem to matter at the moment. Arseface started to dig into his second bowl having stopped asking about the photo. “So out of curiosity what kind of pendant did you get your sister” He asked changing the subject.

She smiled and showed him. "It's actually for her boyfriend. It's some kind of luck charm or something. He's only got one arm, and he seems to get into lots of fights, so she reckons it'll help him or something." Rin shrugged and put the little star shaped pendant away. "She owes me. But frankly I couldn't stand being in the house with them another minute! They're like rabbits or something."

“It looks pretty nice.” He said as he watched her put it away back into her pocket. Now that he was all full up and had nothing really to say anymore he took out the picture once more. He just stared at it trying to figure out what was in it. “Kind of looks like an elephant when you hold it like this.” He said holding it upside down still not doing so well and figuring out she was in it.

"If it's a guy and he heard you say that, he'd probably be happy." She chuckled a bit. "Because elephants are strong. But if it's a girl she'd probably kill you." She laughed a bit more and took another sip of the sake. Rin was pretty confident that he wouldn't figure it out if he hadn't already.

He laughed as well and started to turn the picture to see if he could get any other funny things out of it. Unfortunately it was conventionally the right side where he was able to see her. “Hey this kind of looks like you.” He said casually. “The face is kind of smudged a bit but the hair looks the same. Guess it's some sort of hair trend.” It was kind of sad really that he couldn't figure it out even after that.

She nodded. "Yeah I stole the hair from girl I saw." She laughed softly. How could he not notice. "So, you need help picking up something for your own little lady? I have a rather good eye for jewelry." She was fishing for his relationship status.
