The Quest For Power

She shrugged. "It's no big deal. I used to be Aiden-sama's slave anyway. I'm being sent to the main house on request by one of them."

"But why? Why would you do such a thing!? That's so stupid! To want to be a slave."

"Well. Think. I have no other reason to live," she said grimly. "By being a slave, I know at least SOMEONE needs me."

"What do you meen? I care for you. What makes you think I don't care for you? I left the village and almost killed Asmo for you." he didn't want Toshi to do that. She was too fragile for slavery.

"I know. And I am grateful for that. But you will forget about me and replace me. I just want to leave before I get hurt again."

Yuudai looked down, sad. "Fine. If that's what you want, I won't stop you." he then walked out of the mansion. Totally ignoring Aiden when he passed by.

Toshi sighed, hugging Aiden as he came in. "He believed it."

"Ah...I see..."

"Well, it's better if he doesn't know the whole truth. I mean...being married and enslaved by Asmo...sama."

Yuudai now didn't care if Toshi was being tourtured. He was leaving, angry and never looking back. Right now, if you looked at him, you could see the rage in his eyes.

Aiden looked out through the window. "Wow, he looks pissed. You sure you won't tell him how you can escape?"

"Of course I won't! He'd never do it, not for me! It's not like I actually mean something to him."

Yuudai kept walking... Filled with rage. He coulden't care less if Toshi was trying to get him to forgive her. It wasn't going to happen.
