The Quest For Power

"Asmo WHAT?! Oh, no, I hope he doesn't do anything dramatic again," she said, worried. "Which way did he go?"

"I don't remmber. We'll have to look in the places that Aiden would be. The mansion) The raman bar? A sake bar? any other sugestions?"

"Naka's grave?" she said, and climbed onto Yuudai's back. "He keeps sneaking off at night to go there."

"Lets go there first. Hold on tight!" he then ran off toward Naka's grave. He had just realised: he haden't visited Naka since she died. So hewas glad they were going there first.

Sure enough, the demon was there. He had brought sunflowers to place on the marble tombstone. And he was holding a kunai, ready to kill himself.

"Aiden-sama, no!"

Yuudai quickly let Toshi off his shoulders and put his wrist in front of the kunai just as Aiden had thrusted it trying to kill himself. After the kunai went into his wrist, Yuudai knelt down in pain. He was loosing a lot of blood and loosing it quickly.

Aiden turned his head to Yuudai, uncaring. Then he pulled the kunai out, and started to clean it. Toshi ran over, and grasped his wound, healing it. Aiden didn't notice her at all.

Yuudai stared at Aiden like he knew that Yuudai was comming and intently stabbed him, "Were you about to kill yourself? or were you waiting to kill me?"

"Both," Aiden said, without any emotion. "I've failed my reason to truly live... Now I just want to be reincarnated again, without my past memories."

Yuudai pulled his wrist away from Toshi and grabbed Aiden's throat. "I never liked you" then punched him and tossed the kunai to him. "Go ahead, kill yourself. But if you do and lose all your past memories, won't that include Naka and Toshi?"

Toshi whimpered. "Boys, please..."

Aiden glared at Yuudai. "You Uchihas are all the same. What is it with you guys and Naka and Toshi? It's not like you're the happy, cheerful type."

"Shut up" Yuudai kicked Aiden. He really didn't care what happened to Aiden so his face was emotionless. He also knew that Toshi was going to get very upset.

"Y-you two, stop it!" Toshi begged.

Aiden sat up, wiping the dirt away, still emotionless. "You asked me a question. I answered it, and asked you one back."

"You never answered my first question; If you kill yourself and erase all your past memories, won't that include Naka, and Toshi? And I already answered that question before."

"Hmph, what do you think is hurting me so much? Knowing that that little ball of happiness is about to be taken away and broken down. Of course I'm trying to forget them. To forget what I could never have."

"Who will you be re-incarnated as?" Yuudai really didn't care about Aiden but he asked anyway. He was happy that Aiden wasn't going to try to kill him anymore, and that all he had to worry about was Asmo. "And will you still care for Toshi?"

"I'll probably be reincarnated as an Akuma member. And yes, I'll still care. But if you wanna know why, Toshi can't hear the reason."

"Tell me the reason, Aiden. Or are you going to kill yourself before you tell me? And, how long till you come back?"

"I can't let Toshi hear it. And it'd take, I dunno, an hour or so? It depends on the strength of the demon." He sighed and snapped his fingers. A demon appeared and covered Toshi's ears. "She's my soulmate, dammit. But she doesn't know it."

Yuudai stared at him in shok. "I thought you said that none of us deserved her. Well I woulden't be suprised if you lied anyway. I mean you are a deamon after all."

"Do you think a demon who has sinned, deserves a young maiden, who is that pure? Even if we're soulmates. At first I just wanted to build a clan. But then, well." He sighed and looked down. "Love blossomed."

"You mean me, don't you? Face it; Toshi will eventually choose one of us, and if its you, then good for you. I would leave you guys alone. I would respect her choice. But I am still a choice and right now, I think I have more chances than you. Considering.. Nevermind"

"Considering what? That you're a normal boy? That you can die with her?"

"No that wasn't it, but lets go with that. Happy trails Aiden" Yuudai said walking away. He was loosing blood and strength, and eventually blacked out. While he was unconscious he thought to himself, 'I'm probably going to die, but I'm okay with that. Because I'll be able to see Naka again!'

"Yuudai!" Toshi wrenched herself away from the demon and ran over to him. "Yuudai, no! Wake up, wake up!"

"He won't." Aiden sighed and disappeared.
