The Quest For Power

"Because if I didn't, I would die. Demons like me are still alive because we induce chaos, havoc, misery...and we have restrictions on what we can do with our immortality."

"That sucks. How do you put up with it? I woulden't be able to deal with that. I would commit suicide- Hold on, is that why you wanted to kill yourself? And why do you want to kill me?"

"I don't want to make any more pain than there already is. And I'm going to enjoy killing you, yes, but it's high time that Toshi starts hurting you back."

"You are not going to kill me, neither is Toshi, I know that at least you won't kill me" he chuckled and slyly smiled.

"Yeah, but damn, how I'd love to," he said, growling. "But...if you truly are going to stay with her, then never again leave her side. I will hunt you and get you if you go off to train for revenge again."

"Go ahead, try to kill me right now just do it. I know you want to. You know you want to. I know I won'tdie, and you'll get the satisfaction of killing me. Its win-win."

"But I won't. I can't tell why, but I just won't. When I'm gone, you'd better take extra care of Toshi, how you do with Ember when she broke her leg."

"How do you know about that? Never mind. I'm actually telling you now. KILL ME! Just do it. Take that kunai and stab it through my chest."

"No, I won't. Toshi's going to wake up in around five minutes thinking it was a dream. Bring her home for rest, and give her lots of water. No spicy food. She's going to be cold, but don't give her spicy food, dammit, she can't handle it."

"Fine, have it your way." he mumbled and then said so Aiden could hear it, "Okay, I get it. No spicy food, and get her warm. Got it!"

"And make sure she gets her pee breaks and snack breaks," he said, before disappearing.

After a few minutes, Toshi slowly opened her eyes. She felt numb and cold. "H-huh...?"

"Don't talk, Toshi. Let's get you back to the mansion." He picked her up and when they reached the Uchiha mansion, Yuudai sat her in her bed and brought her water, and a bowl of plain raman.

Toshi frowned, looking dizzy. "What happened to me?" she asked as she ate.

"You went unconscious after you strained that memroy seal on you neck. Then me and Aiden talked, and he then left. I don't know where or why."

"He left?" she asked, frowning. "Let's go find him..!" She put away her ramen and tried to get up.

Yuudai pushed her back down, "I think he wants to be alone for a bit. You need to rest anyway. I promised I would take care of you when he wasn't here."

"But...I want him here," she protested. "Is he angry at me? Does he want to hurt me?"

"No. I don't think you would to know what he plans on doing." Yuudai lowered his head.

"But I wanna be with him! I love Aiden-sama."

"Don't worry. He'll hopwfully come back. He told me that he was going to wash your memory and make up fake memories about me and you and then leave. Thats what he said." Yuudai felt ashamed to say the truth, but he had to.

"But... I... I don't want to forget him! Not anymore! No!" Toshi rubbed her eyes looking down. "For once, I wish he'd be selfish...I want him to come get me..."

Yuudai was now feeling guilty. Thinking that this was all his fault. "I'm sorry this happened, but that is what Aiden told me. Now wether he lied or not is a different question. But he sounded serious."

"No..!" Toshi had her head in her hands. "Not that... I want to keep remembering him...since I was a baby, I wanted to be with that ten-year old Akuma I saw...no...I don't want him to leave me now..."

"I don't know where he is. But whatever you want me to do: Leave, stay. Tell me andI will, and I probably can't bring Aiden back."

"But, I...Grrrh!" Toshi turned over, and pressed her face into her pillow.
