"There, there." Karkien pated her head allways with a smile on his face.

Tears started to flow down his shoulder as Toshi cried. "I hate myself too... I'm so stupid... I have no use at all in this world..."

"Don't say that. I'm sure your parents love you." He said while holding her.

"My parents? My mummy died giving birth to me, and my daddy died soon after," she said, muffled against his shoulder. "They were young, and not even married. Love makes people blind."

Karkien holded her tight next to him. "Who's taking care of you then?"

"His cousin. You see, I live in the same house as he does. His room was just down the hallway," she said, tracing the lines of the pendant.

"I see. If you want...you can stay at my home if you don't feel happy by staying in you'r friend's cousin house." Karkien keeped his friendly smile like nothing was able of removing it.

"Really?" she asked weakly. "I'm staying at the Akuma mansion here, but my cousins there are always busy with their masters..."

Karkien noded while grabbing the hunting that he droped on the floor.

"...o-oh kay..." Toshi blushed and got up too. "I just...need to stay in Kusa until I can face Konoha again..."

Karkien smilled again before heading in direction of a river.

Toshi sniffed, and followed him like a little puppy. "Where do you live?"

Karkien pointed to the river. "Underground." He said with a smile.

"Sounds...peaceful," she said, giving him a little smile. Toshi caught up to him, holding his hand and looking at what he was carrying. "What were you doing?"

"Hunting. I need to eat right?" He said with a smile while starting to put his foot into a certain position.

"I have instant ramen and some other food, if you want..." she offered, tugging on his hand. "Have you ever tried chicken pie?"

Karkien waved his head. "Until now...i only eated what the Nature can offer me." A small cave started to open in front of his foot.

"Then I'll make some for- whoooa!"

Karkien keeped looking at the cave that was oppening.

After it was fully open, Toshi timidly looked in, then at Karkien. "Is this sanitary?" she asked, slightly pouting.

"It's the way to my house." He said while looking at her.

"....okay..." Toshi clutched onto his shirt, a little scared, and followed.

Karkien snaped his fingers and a small flame started to burn on his finger. "Let's go?"

Toshi nodded, and held on tighter as they went in. "Did you make this place?"

Karkien simply nooded with a smile on his face while walking inside.
