" Its a troublesome situation I know but we cant take her with us honey" he said softly. He knew this was even more difficult for her " you can cry you know If you need too"

She laughed sadly. "If I cry in front of you, you'll think I'm just a stupid little kid... I'm gonna go spend some time with her. You can join us if you want to." She kissed him lovingly and got out of the tub.

Ushio was in the nursery, sitting on the couch there. In her arms was her little bundle of joy, sleeping innocently. The young mother could not help but let a few tears slip when she thought of leaving their baby.

Keiji washed himself off and got dressed for the journey.

He walked fluidly into the the Nursery, his heart ached at the sight of Ushio holding Isamu. Her cheeks were stained with tears, he sat down next to her. " Hey" he said quietly

"Nhh..." Ushio leaned her head against him, hugging their child tightly. She cried and cried, her shoulders shaking. Izzy blinked, woken up by the commotion. "Goo?" 'Mama? Papa? Why mama crying?' she asked, as she sucked on her thumb.

" She's sad Isamu " Keiji said solemly. He wasnt sure how to explain this further "you see Papa and Mama have to go on a very long Mission "

"Oh..." Isamu understood. It would hurt her too, she knew. Ushio shook, she was out of tears but wanted to cry some more. She kissed her daughter's forehead, her heart breaking open. "...mama and papa can't bring you. It's too dangerous. And we don't know..when we can come back..."

" so we will be taking you to Konoha to stay with Grandpa Aiden and Grandma Naka okay" Keiji said wrapping his arm around Ushio to comfort her as best he could. " We Love you very much Isamu and we want you to know that... to know ... that this isnt easy for us to do " he started to tear up a bit, kami how he hated farewells

"Know that mama and papa love you and...and we wish we could be one big happy family, okay?" Ushio croaked out. She felt better when Keiji hugged her. Sure, they were dysfunctional; Keiji was a soon-to-be-shinigami, she was still too young, they weren't married, their child was a prodigy, etc. - but at least they were happy. Ushio's tears came back and she started bawling again.

'...ma...mama...papa...'

Keiji looked at Isamu and smiled " Dont worry Isamu We'll be back one day, hopefully soon". His words were warm and comforting "till then you'll be a good girl for your grandparents ... right" he said creating a clone to pack up her room.

Isamu nodded. Then she pouted and tugged on her mother's hair. 'Don't worry. Izzy is a big girl. Izzy will miss mama and papa, though.' The baby smiled and hugged them both. "I.... I... Iz... Izzy. Wuv. Mama. And. Papa."

Keiji smiled holding back the tears he would shed later, he maintained the group hug for a few minutes more before the clone said everything was packed. It was at that moment he slipped away and went to ready their things " don't take to long, the quicker we leave Iwa the quicker we can start the mission and be done with it " he said leaving the room .

"O...okay," Ushio replied. After a while, she rocked the baby to sleep. Then she called for Naka and Aiden.

Izzy's granparents packed up all of the baby's stuff and waited outside for the final goodbyes. Ushio followed Keiji, her expression empty.

Keiji sighed he had figured they would travel to Konoha but this worked as well. Once they had reached the boarder of Iwa and Kusa he turned to Ushio. he tipped her chin up " dont worry Ushio-hime Izzy chan will be fine with your parents, and killing a few zombies shouldnt take to long " he said softly

"... I'm going to crush their spines for taking me away from my baby," she said darkly. Ushio sighed and pat the big bag she had. "You don't mind if I go berserk on them, right?"

He chuckled " you must fight with a clear head ushio, if you don't you run the risk of getting hurt or worse " he said walking ahead into the sunset
