The Nara Family

"Ummm Izzy likes listening to mama's stowies and and and eating dango and nap time," she said happily. Her main jobs were sleeping, eating and fantasising. Ushio had clearly rubbed off on her. "Sometimes mama and Izzy have picnics with Mr. Invi... In vi... Mr In....squiv...umm... With a nice mister at the shrine!" Isamu didn't know how to pronounce Invisible yet, but it was cute she tried.

Kaji quirked an eyebrow as she struggled with the word "you go to the Shinto shrine?". Kaji was puzzled by that "that shrine has been closed down for years" he said. Who was there and more importantly why was ushio meeting someone there.

Isamu nodded, glad he understood. "Me and mama clean up the shrine all by ourselves!" she claimdd proudly. "And then we eat snacks wif the nice mister. He brings Izzy toys and is nice to mama." Then she looked down sadly. "When papa was away, me and mama cwied to mr nice... He was huwt too... Poor mr. Nice."

Kaji nodded " I see... Your mother and I have much to talk about " he said. Kaji did not like the idea of this mister nice. " what is your favorite colour " he said resting his head on one hand, he relaxed so as not to scare her

"UMm Izzy ...Owange and gween. Izzy wike bowf." Isamu giggled and put her hands on his hand on her head. She liked both colors, and didn't know which one she liked more, they were both great. "Mama tell Izzy about papa...papa wike gween and papa wike pizza. Ish Izzy wight?" she asked, grinning up at him. Most of her milk teeth were already showing.

Kaji chuckled " yes thats right izzy ". He patted her on the head "but can you tell me who doesn't like pizza ?". His smile was wide " tell me more like how you got so many teeth".

"Izzy haf miwk evewy day and haf stwong teef, mama said so." Isamu smiled wide, sowing her set of pearlie-white baby teeth. "Izzy haf shawp teef too." She pointed to her canines, which were admittedly sharper than they should be for a human child.

Kaji examined them " mmm ... You better not bite anyone " he said ruffling her hair. He wondered how people would act if they saw her fangs and wings. His uncle spoke of civilians and even ninja attacking one konoha ninja because he contained a demon. 'what would they do if they knew isamu was half demon .

"Izzy bite mama," she admitted, looking down. She couldn't help it, she still needed to be breast-fed and even though she tried not to, she had always loved her mama's milk. "Does Papa wike mama's miwk too?" she asked, tugging on his hand. "Is yummy! Izzy want Mama give Papa too! Papa want?"

Kaji blushed " er... I'll decline " he said " you'll understand why when your older". He patted her on the head "tell you what tomorrow we will go to the park"

"Bring Nekotama!" Izzy said happily. So happy was she that she sprouted wings and started to fly around the room, iggling and cooing.

Kaji snatched her out of the air and hugged her. Smilng he said "alright we can take the cat "

"Yaaaay! Papa, we eat cake now?" she asked him, pointing at the cake on the cooling rack. She purred and hugged his head.

Kaji nodded " um izzy I need to see in order to cut the cake"

"Otay papa." Izzy flew to his back and sat on top of his gead again. "Papa...if papa no love mama anywmow, what papa do?" she asked, rubbing his hair.

Kaji frowned " I love your mother dearly Isamu" he said cutting the cheese cake. "who told you I didnt love your mother ?" he asked as he was opening the cupboards. A large plate would do just fine he thought, carefully he plated a square for him and one for isamu

Izzy shrugged, and looked adorable with a confused face. "Izyy heaws voices in Izzy's head....they say Papa wants a new Mama... Is dat true, Papa? Katewine says so." She meant to say Katherine.

Kaji sighed this was going to be a pain. He sat her down on the table he looked at her " tell me isamu does Katherine only speak to you or can you see her".
He poured over the knowledge of spirits and demons that could invade the mind. He paused or maybe just maybe his little girl was ... Crazy. For now until he could know for certain he went on possession

Izzy blinked. Then she gave him a sweet smile. Her brown, messy hair morphed into long, blond curls and her eyes turned a sky blue. The little girl smiled at him and waved. "Your daughter isn't crazy. In fact, she's quite intelligent for a young one. I'm just here for a while, don't bother asking why. Try and focus onyour own crumbling household, would you?" She grinned, but then changed back to Izzy. Said girl looked at her Papa and giggled. "Did papa talk to hewr?"

Kaji scowled at the blond until she morphed back to izzy. He nodded and placed a small fork of cake to he lips. 'wonderful possession, maybe I could summon samael to extract her' he thought

Izzy cooed with glee and opened her mouth for it. She ate the cake and chewed eagerly. Ahhh, sugar... Cheesecake had always been her mother's favourite. They ate some every Sunday together. "Papa, bwing mama?"

Kaji nodded again, yes they should go take some to Ushio. He cut out a larger square and placed it on the plate. Kaji looked to isamu "hop on my shoulders and hang on" he told her.

"Wheee!" Isamu squealed with excitement as she got onto her father's shoulders. She held onto his head to make sure she wouldn't fall off. But if she did anyway, she would just spout wings and fly some more.

And so father and daughter walked up the stairs and down the hall to brin cheese cake of love to one Ushio kuroda. They walked into the bedroom and found ushio curled up on the bed. Kaji cleared his throat " we bring cake of love " he said looking at her. He looked up at isamu " isn't that right izzy-chan"

Ushio had been taking a nice cat nap while they were downstairs. She sat up and smiled sleepily. Did Danna just say cake of love? She chuckled and pat the bed, indicating they should sit down with her. "Cake of love!" Isamu cheered, rolling on the bed. The two waited for the man of the house to sit down as well before hugging him together and kissing opposite cheeks.
