The Last

"You were sweating a lot and you looked like you were in a lot of pain," she said, frowning. Worry was clear on her face. If he was hurt, if he was having a painful nightmare, she wanted to help make it go away. That was what friends were for, right? Taking care and helping each other out? And he was a good friend of hers. "Please don't act like nothing is wrong. I know something is."

Sora sat up and looked down. "it was just a nightmare...that's all...but thanks anyway..." He handed her the blanket and looked at her. "it was about what my life used to be like...before I might everyone here..." He wouldn't be able to goback to sleep but he didn't want to keep Naka up. "lay back down and go to sleep I'll be ok..."

"No, it's alright. I feel fine. And besides, it's hard to sleep when a friend is in need. Do you want to go back downstairs, or do you want to stay up here?" Naka smiled and folded up the blanket that she had removed from him. He was really sweaty, so that must have meant the nightmare was really really bad. "...you know, your friends here won't shun you."

Sora smiled and looked at Naka and smiled. "Sure lets go back downstairs." Sora got up and wiped the sweat from his forehead. "I know my friends won't shun me but its just the memories of everyone shunning me and hating me...I hate it..."

"Make new memories," she suggested with a shrug. "Find something that makes you so happy the old memories don't seem as painful. People change, Sora. It's because our hearts change too." Naka smiled encouragingly and squeezed his hand before skipping daintily into the house with the blanket.

Sora nodded and followed Naka, getting colder but wouldn't show it. As he walked in he tripped down the stairs and hit his head on the bottom of the wall. "Ow." said Sora rubbing his head. He couldn't tell but he was bleeding from where he hit the wall. "Damn..."

"Sora-kun!" Naka rushed over and carefully laid his head on her lap. He was bleeding, she noticed. The young medic nin put her hands on his head and started to heal over his bruises and bloody gash. Poor Sora, she murmured, and patched him up. She kissed where he banged his head and started to clean up the blood.

Sora closed his eyes ignoring the pain as she healed him. "Was it bad?" He wanted to know but at the same time he didn't. "I'm sorry.." He was apologizing for getting her bloody.

"A bit bloody, but nothing major. No fractures, so that's good, right?" Naka smiled and rubbed his head, where it was unharmed, gently. She would take care of him. He was her friend, right? So she would treat him like one. "Do you want me to help you to the bathroom to clean up?"

Sora looked up at Naka. "No thanks I think I can get there if I don't fall again." He started to the bathroom then looked down the steps. "Can I get some clothes?" He felt dizzy and light headed but he wasn't going to let it show.

Sora waited for an answer about the clothes. "If you don't have any...i'll go back home and get some."

"It's okay, I'm pretty sure I have some laying around here somewhere. You go ahead and get cleaned up, I'll have the clothes ready for you when you come back, alright Sora-kun?" Naka smiled kindly and kissed his forehead before going off to find some old clothes, maybe Goru had left some the last time he slept over. Hmm, but would they be too big for Sora?

Sora walked into the bathroom, closed the door and started taking a shower. As he took a shower he thought about his past. No...I can't keep thinking bout my past, I have a future... No matter what Sora tried he thought about the past.

Sora looked at his missing arm. "I wonder if Mrs. Naka is done with the arm." He dried, and tied the towel around him, then walked down stairs. "Mrs. Naka? Is the arm done?"

"Ahn… Danna… Danna…" Apparently Mrs. Naka and Aiden were doing it in the kitchen, on the dining table, which, frankly, was quite… a sight. Naka passed down the hallway and saw Sora approaching the kitchen, so she gasped and quickly pulled him away, away from a sight that would have been burnt into his mind forever. She smiled and handed him a set of clothes to him - they should be his size. "I hope they fit… if not you could borrow mine or something…"

Sora's eyes widened. "W-where they...? You know..." Sora ran upstairs quickly, towel flying off and ran into the bathroom. He quickly got dressed and sat at the top of the steps. "I'm...not...coming...down..." He was getting quite scared, and saw the towel on the bottom step. "You. Saw. Nothing."

"I saw a flash of white," she suggested, but that was the towel and not his pearly rump. Naka giggled and went upstairs to go check up on him. "Sorry you almost had to see that. Mama's in heat, you see, and well...she needs Daddy to take care of her so she doesn't bring down the house or anything. He has a special toxin inside of him that compels her to want him and only him." Naka had picked up the towel and was coming upstairs to hang it up. "I'm pretty sure your new arm is fixed up alright, though. She doesn't usually take long to smooth out things like that."

Sora sighed and smiled. "Alright." He got up, not nearly tired anymore, and walked outside. He needed to think, but everything in his mind was going by so fast, he couldn't think. Sora shook his head, trying to slow stuff down, but it didn't work. He then got an idea. He got on his knees, and hit his head on the ground as hard as he could rapidly. It made him able to think.

"Sora!" Naka ran over to where he was, worried as hell and a big frown on her face. That was Sora of course. One minute he was smiling, the next he wanted to bust his head open and hurt himself so he didn't have to think anymore. Well, she had had enough. Naka forced him to stop and sit up straight, then wrapped what seemed to look like a red rubbed rope around his wrists, behind his back, so he couldn't use them. Then she did the same with his ankles. "Sora...will you please stop hurting yourself?" she mumbled as she tied him up, utterly frazzled.

"I can't think straight!" Sora's forehead was bleeding from a gash he caused. "Hitting my head on the ground helped!" Sora tried to move but couldn't, he was hog tied. "No matter what I do, my past comes into my head, It erases what I want to look foreward to..." Sora started crying, not because of sadness but because of anger. No he wasn't mad at Naka, he was mad at him self.

Naka listened to his words as she put her hand on his forehead and healed him over, making sure that the cut wouldn't get infected by any bacteria lingering around. She wiped her hands on her pants and sat down so that they were face to face and could see each other. She didn't know how to help him, how to understand him, but he surely needed to know that sometimes hurting yourself isn't the best choice. "Sora... do you really think making you bleed physically is a good way to stop making you bleed mentally?"

"I just...no..." Sora sighed and closed his eyes. "It sucks...always being haunted by the past..." Sora just needed a way out. He was breaking, he couldn't take it anymore. "I wanna make myself forget!!" Sora opened his eyes, and showed his seriousness.

"You can make yourself forget by blowing your brains out, maybe, but then is that really worth it?" she murmured to him. He was trying to kill himself, or at least drown himself in so much pain he didn't have to think about it. "Do you think you're the only one going through pain and suffering, Sora? Other people are too. And they are coping with it. They're finding out how they can accept the past and the hurt that has been done to them, and live. They did it without trying to smash open their skull. You can too, but you just won't let yourself do it."

Sora looked at Naka. She was good at making some regret what ever they were doing. Good at guilt. "Naka...How do you expect me to do it? I mean...My past...is so horrible..if you knew what really happened, you'd wish you were dead. I wish I was everyday. The pain gets worse and worse. And being alone all your life, except a year or 2, you would no my pain. Here let me tell you about my past..."

When Sora was a little boy, his parents were killed, he doesn't remember how, all he remembers is seeing their bloody faces, on the ground, in a puddle of blood. Sora, himself, was covered in blood. It was sick, unnerving, and horrible. He was took from his brother on that day. Started living in a new village. In the village, everyone would try to kill him, throw rocks at him, beat him up till he couldn't move. Because they were afraid and they hated him.
Then the Kage, saw that Sora had been improving in his ninja skills, and granted him to be a full pledged shinobi. Only because the Kage wanted him out of the village, didn't want to really see or hear about him. His girlfriend, Alyssa, who he thought he could trust, in the end put a kunai through his heart. but lived for some unknown reason. That was when Sora became a rogue shinobi. Every where Sora went it was the same. People attempting to kill him, people running away from him, calling him names. And the Anbu and shinobi that constantly went after Sora to take him back to the village, only did that, so they could see the Kage kill Sora.
That when on from the age of 10 to 16 when he came to Konoha.

Naka blinked and looked at him. Ah, so that was why. She couldn't say she understood him - she had took a jutsu to the heart, not a kunai to the chest, and people didn't hate her, they just wanted to strip her of her skin and eat her soul. Without undoing his restraints, she came over and hugged him tight, his chin resting on her shoulder. "Sora....is that all you think about?" she asked him softly. "Don't you ever think of anything happy? Friends, food, being healthy, being alive, getting to see the sky and the ocean and the flowers and pet animals.. Don't say you don't have any friends, because you have me. Don't say you don't like food, you eat it. Don't say you don't like being healthy, you could have been born with a blind eye or bum leg or fragile bones. Don't say you don't like being alive, that says you quit and give up. Don't say you don't think the sky and sea are nice to look at, that's just not true. And you DON'T insult flowers or pet animals." She sighed and pulled back to look at him. "Do you know what you should think? That there are other people on this earth who have it worse than you. You could have been worse off - but you aren't."

Sora looked at Naka. There are only 2 things in this world I think about...my past...and you..." Sora sighed. "Now please...undo the restraints. I wont try to hurt myself I promise." Sora smiled the best smile he could manage. "Pwetty pwease?" Sora did a puppy pout face.
