Death Sword Scroll (May get Mature)

"Just plans. I got a job... I'll leave after dinner, soon as it's dark", he said, still not looking up. Misaki watched him work, curiously.

An hour passed Tsukiakara finished the food. He came in and placed a plates for everyone. It was a pretty simple dinner. Fried Rice, Mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob. “Dig in” He said.

Shiro did not need to be told and watching him, Misaki thought he took the term of "digging in" a little too literally. Shiro was done within a few minutes. Throwing a quick look out of the window he got up and packed everything that was inside the small chest into a small travelsack, not worrying whether Misaki or Tsuki saw what he was carrying. "I don't know when I'll be back. If I don't come back, don't search for me or they will think you had something to do with this", Shiro advised them. Misaki frowned and looked at Tsuki.

What Shiro said seemed a little odd to Tsukiakara. “What exactly is this job” He said giving a cold stare into Shiro. If this ‘job’ was to kill someone, then he could forget about it right there and now.

"This job is to do what I do", Shiro said. "The less you know the better, just in case someone asks questions later." He gave Tsukiakara a sweet smile and attempted to slip past him.

Oh he wasn’t going to slip past Tsukiakara that easily. The valley ninja jumped in front of him before he could go any further. “What is this job?” he said more seriously.

"C'mon, I've been doing this for years. Don't act like you're my mommy now. I'm just going to get a few things out of that guy's house and leave, no big deal", Shiro lied smoothly. He was even better at lying than Misaki, just not as good in telling the truth.

“Whose house? And what is it you plan to do when you get there?” Tsukiakara continued to questions. At least Misaki’s lies were somewhat believable.

"This man possesses something rather valuable my clients would love to get his hands on. I'm being paid for this. I don't care what the name of that fellow is." Shiro tried to push Tsukiakara aside, he was losing precious time.

This time Tsukiakara let him pass. He had a bad feeling about it, like he was going to regret it later. He gave a sigh and then looked at Misaki. “I’m going to bed now Misaki. If you’re still hungry there is some more food in the kitchen.” He said as he started walking to his bedroom.

Misaki sighed. He had wanted to ask them about Muki and her plans on running away but it seemed a bad time for talking. Also, he was worried about Shiro. And as Tsuki was going to bed, there was nobody who could stop him from following his brother of choice.

Shiro had found the building and made his entrance quietly and unnoticed. He worked his way through the different rooms, following his hand-drawn map. If all went well, he was going to get out soon. Until now he had not noticed Misaki, who wandered around in the house, in search of something to take with him.

This was about the time of night where Muki had to go downstairs and get a drink of water. She descended the stairs with her night gown on rubbing her eyes. Her parents were dead tired which can be heard throughout the house with there snoring. But then she heard someone in the house. It couldn’t be he parents. She hid in the shadows to see who it was. To her surprise it was Misaki. “Misaki what are you doing her?” she whispered loud enough for him to hear but not to wake her parents.

Misaki stopped, staring at Muki. "This... this is... y-your house?", he asked, dumbstruck.

Shiro had just finished preparations and quietly left the house. This was going to be a firework of sorts. Returning home he knew he had done his part of the job. The explosion and anything else was not his to do.

Back home he went to check on Tsuki and Misaki - and did not find the latter. Panicking he rushed into Tsukiakara's room, ripping the blanket off him. "Misaki's gone. Where is he?", Shiro demanded to know, glaring at Tsukiakara as though he might have eaten the boy or purposely lost him.

“What are you talking about? Isn’t he in the living room” Tsukiakara said. Then a siren sounded. “Oh no!” Tsukiakara said. It was yellow alert. The village could be under attack. He quickly grabbed a sword set at the side of his bed and hopped out the window. While he started darting to his post at the northern gate, he saw the flames coming from the house. Anbu black ops should be making they’re way to it.

The house was suddenly in flames and this worried Muki. Then cracking sounds could be heard from the roof. “It’s collapsing we have to get out!” Then suddenly she saw a piece of the roof falling right above Misaki’s head. “Look out!” She said as she charged at him and tackled him out of the way. This saved Misaki’s life but as for her the piece fell on top of her. Only her head and arms were visible.

"He's not", Shiro said, desperate. He was visibly and audibly worried, close to panicking. Where was Misaki? Where could he be? The sirens stopped him from thinking, he went pale. Rushing outside right behind Tsuki, he already planned his leave. If they were giving yellow alert, this thing was going to get fierce than he had expected. It would be hard to hide the fact that he was responsible for the fire...

Misaki wanted to move but he could not get his body to follow the orders he was giving. Suddenly he was tackled by Muki, everything around him was in flames and Misaki did not know what to do. "Muki? Are you hurt?", he asked and started coughing when he inhaled a good load of smoke.

Muki did not answer. Blood started dripping from her forehead. The suddenly a man in a black uniform and mask grabbed Misaki and started taking him out of the burning building. Tsukiakara was on the wall know. How he wished he could help the people in house but he was ordered not even to look at it. His focus was to be completely on the forest to see if there was any sign of attack.

"Noo! Let me go! She's hurt!", Misaki screamed and inhaled more smoke which had him coughing violently. Outside he struggled against the man's grip but had no chance to free himself. "You have to help her! She's still inside, she's hurt", he begged, crying now.

Shiro stood next to Tsuki, unusually quiet and pale as a ghost.

The Anbu didn’t listening to Misaki’s pleads. He had his orders and he was going to fulfill them.

“Shiro” Tsukiakara said in a whisper. “Make your self useful and go to the house. Find out what’s going on and come back.”

Shiro glanced at Tsukiakara to find out if the other was kidding. "They didn't even let you close to it, they'd probably capture and interrogate me if I even tried to get close to it", Shiro objected. "And I still have to find out where Misaki is. He can't just be gone." Shiro anxiously chewed his lower lip and stared into the darkness.

“Fine then go look for Misaki. If this goes to Red alert they will be starting the evacuations.” Tsukiakara said. Then a flashlight signaled from a distance. “Movement at the southern gate. They’re sending forces to investigate” Tsukiakara explained.

The Anbu made it to the hospital and strapped Misaki to a stricter (since it was obvious he wouldn’t stay still.) Medical ninja then took the stricter and wheeled Misaki inside.

Shiro made his way down to the burning building. As he did not know where Misaki was, he could start here as well as anywhere. He was not going to try and get too close to it, he was just asking around. Approaching one of the ANBU he tried not to look nervous or in any way suspicious. "Sir, have you seen a little boy, about this tall, a little shabby looking? He was probably on his own...?"

“We saved a little boy sort of like that for inside the building. We sent him to the hospital.” The Anbu said. “We got a live one here! She’s still breathing!” Another Anbu said as ran out with Muki in his arms. “Take her to the hospital ASAP!” The Anbu that was taking to Shiro ordered.

Shiro stared at Muki, going pale again. What had he done? This was her house?
Shocked he took her in his arms, then brought her to the hospital as quickly as possible.
If that guy was right, Misaki was there, too. Had he been following Shiro?
How could this whole thing have gone so terribly wrong?

A medial ninja came and took Muki out of Shiro’s hands. “Wait in the lobby” She said. “If this goes to read alert this would be one of the safest places to be.”

Shiro was sure this was not going to get worse, after all he knew fairly well who had set fire to that building. Nonetheless he stayed like the naive citizen he was expected to be. The less attention he drew to himself the better. And maybe if he stayed he was going to find out if Misaki was actually here and if he was well.
