The Quest For Power

"Come on, breathe!" Toshi frowned and kissed him lightly. "Breathe! Asmo...we'll worry about that later, we have to take care of you for now!"

"I'm fine. The only major thing he did was this." Yuudai lifted up his shirt slightly to reveal where Asmo had stabbed him.

Toshi winced. "Bad Asmo." She sighed, and began healing the wounds. "Breathe, Yuu-chan, just breathe."

"I'm fine. I just need to rest." he then fell asleep. Breathing normally. His heart beating slower than when he was awake.

Toshi sighed, flipped him over and check the wound of his back. "....bad Asmo..." She scowled, and siphoned the blood off of Yuudai's back. If only they haven't met Asmo.

Toshi was in the kitchen with Aiden. She had treated Yuudai as much as she could, hoping for the best. All they had to do next was hope. "We have to send up his breakfast." Aiden passed her a tray with a bowl of ratatouille. Toshi grinned, nodded and went up the tray. She knocked on the door timidly. "Yuu-chan?"

"You can come in Toshi." as she handed him the ratatouille he said, "Thank You." and started eating.

Toshi checked his forehead as he was eating. "Are you back to normal yet?" she asked. She kissed his nose then went about to fix up his room.

"Yea. I'm getting better by the second!" Yuudai finished his food and jumped out of his bed. He helped Toshi clean up his room.

"You sure?" Toshi raid, frowning with concern. She cleaned up the dishes and brought the dirty plates down to the kitchen. Then she went back up.

Yuudai followed. It was about 8:00 PM. And it was lights out at 11:00. After the dishes were clean, Yuudai went up to his room and thought. He eventually came to a conclusion, and started packing his clothes in a backpack.

Toshi went back up, and saw him packing. "Where are you going?"

"No- I'm gonna go out of town for a while... two weeks at most. Don't worry!" and he continued packing, hoping that that lie would hold for the next few hours.

"Can...Can I come with you?" Toshi said weakly. But she knew he wouldn't let her. Though...it was worth a shot. "Please...?" She hugged him tightly from behind, trying to stop him.

"I would let you, but I can't. And don't ask why. You just can't come." Yuudai sighed in sorrow, but it didn't seem like it.

Toshi nodded, rubbing her head against him in the process. She started to help him pack, humming. "Okay. I love you, and I trust you, with all my heart, Yuu-chan," she said, smiling cheerfully. "I'll wait for you."

"I'm leaving tonite. And please don't stay awake while I leave." he didn't want her to see the note he wrote saying he was really leaving for a couple of years.

"Okay, whatever you say." She smiled to him, and helped him finish pack. "That's all of it. Take care, okay?" she said, and hugged him tight. "I'm going to miss you, but I'll wait."

"You better get to bed now. Its almost midnight. Aiden is gonna want you in bed." Yuudai smiled. Felling very guilty. He was lying to his friend, but it was so she woulden't have to worry about being eaten bt Asmo.

"Aww, okay. Then can I have one last kiss before you go? Two weeks is a long time," she said, blushing, yet smiling happily up to him. It was making it hard for him to leave, but Toshi didn't know that.

"Okay. One kiss." Yuudai sipped up his backpack, and turned around. He didn't pucker, he didn't lean foward, he was not gonna make the first move. It just wasn't his thing.

((Lets make it so she does stay up and sees him leave the note. ))

"Yay!" Toshi smiled with content and lightly nuzzled her head against his chest. Then she looked up, smiling wider.

Yuudai hugged her and then heard Aiden comming. "No time! Get to yoyr room! Aiden is comming." he pushed hi bag out of sight and hopped into his bed and signled for Toshi to go to her room. He then prentened to be asleep.

"Aww, okay," she said sadly. No kiss, huh? Toshi sighed, and disappeared, reappearing in her own bed. Just as she disappeared, Aiden poked his head in Yuudai's room. "You asleep, kid?"
