Kaji moved his hands away and looked at the hole in her chest. he snapped into doctor mode. " im gunna heal you Ushio chan " he said hands glowing bright green, his byakugan active so he could see everything

Something was eating her, literally. But her body was fine. Something ate her soul, her being, something he could not see.

Kaji hissed as he sensed a spirit. Samael took over " its so nice to be wearing this again"

But by now Isamu had disappeared. Ushio closed her eyes and stopped breathing. She had left him, and the last thing she heard from his lips was that he didn't want her and never did.

Samael looked down at Ushio " I cannot believe Lilith just let her die "
The fallen Angel knelt beside the lifeless body of Toshi Kuroda and place a soft kiss on her lips. " As is custom I will salt and burn the body " he mused to himself as he went about making a funeral pyre for the corpse

"No." Aiden stood there, arms crossed. "You may be soulmates, but you are not connected the way I am with her."

A strong gust of wind put out the fire. Aiden knelt next to Ushio's body and cradled her into his arms. His palm pressed against her chest and the tattoo started to glow. "Come back to me... Naka-chan, please come back," he whispered softly to her. "You're the one woman in my life I'd leave all the rest for."

And then she sat up- the girl gasped and panted, as if surfacing from water. Yet something strange happened. She grew taller, and her eyes were not brown, they were yellow. Her hair grew longer until they reached mid-back, and she seemed at least fifteen.

"You....waited..." Her voice was not of Ushio. It was of Naka, Aiden's soulmte, his wife, his heart.

And there beside her was Kurama, killer of Ushio.

Samael looked back and smiled at the couple. 'its about time those two were actually together' he thought. it was then he noticed another. " YOU " the fallen growled charging towards Kurama fists red hot with fire .

"Yes?" Kurama asked calmly, turning to Samael, eyes half-lidded as if bored.

Samael socked the him in the stomach " im going to send you to were you belong "

"I'm going to go and wake up Imo-tan later anyway, thanks for the offer though," he said, grimacing at the hit

Kaji retook possession of the body. His pale blue eyes narrowed on Kurama " sending you to hell Kurama Ose will be a pleasure "
kaji turned and started walking away. he could not see his love return only to die again and again. the kiri doctor needed emotional control or Kajael would resurface. " give my love to Ushio " he said walking away

"No," he said, demeanor carefree and somewhat bored. "She has no recollection of you, even now as she wakes up in your- I mean, her bed, thinking all is normal. If you go back to her, don't expect any warm smiles or declarations of love, because she isn't yours."

If she wakes up in my bed in my house on my land and has no recollection of me then Ill just kick her out" kaji said slowly turning around " and since Ive been slacking off in my other occupation I may as well kill everyone she knows, loves or cares about " he said darkly, skin turning chalk white for a mere second.

He shrugged. "Just to have her look at you with fear, those eyes that used to beg you to stay and love her? Unlike you, we always come back for our loved ones. And we would do anything for them." And then he was gone.

Ushio did appear in the bed. Bare like Eve on her first day, she shivered and covered herself with the blankets, inhaling the scents. She looked around, blinking her big brown eyes. "...?"

kaji returned home days later. he had met up with a distraught kikisu and she had given him a memory of ushio saying she wanted to got back to hell

he opened the door to his house and walked up stairs to find Ushio naked in his bed awake. he set the keys on the hook " here you are in my home " he whispered

She blinked and blushed, from embarrassment of both hiding her modesty and being in a stranger's bed. "Eh?! Gomen, I... I thought this was my place for some reason," she said, laughing nervously. "U-um...could I maybe borrow some clothes?"

I have nothing that will fit you " kaji said " you thought this was your place ..." he smiled. "well you were...family " he cursed silently to himself he was un able to stay angry at her for long. " I guess a t-shirt would work as a makeshift dress "

She smiled happily, the type she had back when nothing hurt her, when they were an actual couple. "Ooh, really? Thank you, that'd be greatly appreciated!" Then she tilted her head and looked at him quizzically. "Family?"

engaged " he said quietly. kaji took a white t-shirt from a drawer and handed it to her and a cloth belt

She pulled it over her and it fit her loosely. She tied the belt around her waist and the fabric gently pressed into her minimal curves. "...e...engaged?"
