Forgiveness [Kaji Naka] [Mature]

"Poor thing..." Ushio felt guilty for some reason. She looked in at the little girl on the bed. "...she's cute."

Kaji shrugged " shh... any boys find out it'll make my life hell"

She smiled and looked at the two. They were a happy family, and she was jealous and sad. "I'll leave you two alone," she said, and stepped out.

namis eyes opened as she felt both of them " Papa and Ushio are back " she croaked out

Kaji smiled weakly " I am but Ushio-chan is Ushio chan "

Ushio stayed on the other side of the door. She was a stranger of no use. But somehow, she felt at home, though it wasn't.

Kaji patted her on the head " come Nami lets go say hello "
the blond got up on wobbly legs " hai lets go papa"

Ushio twiddled her thumbs and glanced at the kitchen. "...."

She giggled and wiped her flour-crusted cheeks. Baking was fun. Ushio found the oven-mitts and pulled the apple pie and muffins out of the oven.

Nami walked up to Ushio " smells good Ushio "

Kaji nodded " Yup smells yummy"

She blinked and turned to them. Ushio turned bright red. "Um....um...um..." She put the tray down and hastily took the apron off.

Nami giggled " keep the apron on im gunna teach you how to make papa's favorite " Nami said smiling to her

kaji sat down at the table

"Um, and what's that?" she asked curiously, then turned to Kaji. She could see. "Am... Am I supposed to be here? Shouldn't you bond with your family?"

nami unaware of the recent events sighed and whacked Ushio upside her head " Papa loves you for the last time, now ill get the flour lookin in the fridge for cheese"

Kaji just smiled at Ushio

"??" Ushio looked puzzled. "But I barely know you people..."

" Ushio seems to have forgotten us " Kaji said opening a file which contained various charts for patients at the hospital

Nami smiled " well hopefully we can gt things right this time around now get the cheese from the fridge " the eight year old said barking the last part

Ushio frowned. "Later. First of all...who are you and how do you know me?"

kaji frowned " i am Kaji nara we met four years ago in the forest"

Nami hauled out a bag of flour " im Nami Nara you knew my birth father and Papa kaji of course." Nami paused " we first met months ago while you were breaking thing off with Papa "

"We were together...?" she asked, blinking.

kaji nodded " yup dated for a long while before I asked you to spend forever with me "

She laughed. "I doubt that...can we be friends, then? I don't think you'd want me anymore." She tied the apron around her and helped Nami.

Kaji rubbed his fore head and didnt answer because nami did for him " Dont be a baka papa still wants you but i guess for now friendship will do ".

nami took out some cups " okay ushio fill this cup up with water "

Ushio nodded and filled them up. "Um...did a boy, about six feet, dark hair, blue eyes come?" she asked, cheeks pink.

kaji blinked " no ... im the only one who fits that description "

nami handed her a bowl " now mix the flour and the water and make dough "

"Oh," she sighed, disappointed. "Okay."

Nami sighed and wrapped the bowl in a blanket " now we let it rise "

"who were you expecting " Kaji asked

"Kurama-pyon," she said, and sat down at the kitchen table across Kaji.
