Sand (connie and Nbird)

Tsukiakara waited at the gate of a discreet town in the Land of Rivers. He was supposed to rendezvous with some sand ninja here. They were to then proceed with the mission of escorting a large shipment of ninja tools and weapons to Sunagakure. Normally this would be a valley ninja only mission. However, several reports state that a gang of exile ninja have been attacking caravans leaving the Land of River. With a sigh, Tsukiakara leaned back against a tree waiting for the promised reinforcements from the Sand.

Yukiko approached the boy with caution and perfect silence, she jumped from the tree and landed beside him. "name?" she enquired, if he gave the wrong name she would end him, she was waiting for the right person to begin the mission, and she was not in the mood for any fake ninjas, she had already ended three of them.

Tsukiakara let out a sigh. “Tsukiakara of the Hidden Valley. Can I assume you’re a Sand ninja?” He answered not looking at who he was talking to.

"yes, I'm yukiko let's get this over with" it was the right person but she wasn't in the mood for any chit chat, she just wanted to get this mission over with. Yukiko jumped back into the tree tops "either keep up or be left behind" she replied emotionlessly as she jumped through the trees, Yukiko didn't look back to see if they were following.

What kind of attitude was that? Didn’t she care weather or not the supplies made it to the village or not? But alas it wasn’t his place to ask question. He looked back at the village and gave a sharp whistle. Soon after the convoy of supplies arrived. “Well I guess, we’re ready when you are” He said to Yukiko.

She stopped for a moment and used her chakara to sense the surrounding area for enemies, none for the time being "can you carry the supplies or do you need help?" she realised she was being a bitch to this boy and sighed, he did nothing wrong. Yukiko backtracked to Tsukaikara and offered him a smile "sorry, I've just had a bad day, now let's get going."

Tsukiakara tried to pick up the pace, but ox-drawn wagons full of ninja tools weren’t the easiest things to speed up. Luckily the exile ninja haven’t attacked yet, but with a prize as valuable as this one, Tsukiakara knew it was only going to be a matter of time. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise him if they set up a trap up ahead.

She sighed and took the supplies off him, she was stronger then most of the female ninja in the sand village and knew that she could move faster if she carried them. Yukiko started to move quickly, she knew that exile ninja were known to raid around here and the prize they were carrying would make there day.
As if on queue she sensed something move a couple of hundred meters ahead and smirked, maybe a battle could be the thing to cheer her up, she glanced at her team mate and offered a quick nod, let's hope he was smart enough to know what that small notion meant. She focused her chakara on the particular spot where she first sensed it, she counted five all up, maybe a challenge lay ahead.

Tsukiakara didn’t see the use of her trying to carry the supplies herself but once again it wasn’t his place to question. He than saw her nod at him. It could mean only one thing. She saw something ahead. Tsukiakara couldn’t see what it was yet, his Sword Sight Jutsu didn‘t work well when he was moving. So he decided to ready himself by reaching into his pocket and pulling out a few kunai. He hoped that a huge battle wasn’t in store for them. For some reason he just wanted to finish this mission with his life intact.

Yukiko could sense the boys unease and laughed lightly before stopping and placing the cart down "don't worry Tsukiakara I won't let anything happen to you" she grinned at him and drew her Katana as the enemies moved closer, they knew where she and Tsukiakara were so there was no use continuing until these guys were taken care. She nudged him "ready?" she asked as the ninja came into view.

Tsukiakara didn’t answer. He was to focused on the enemy ahead. He fused his chakra into his kunai. He didn’t throw it yet. He was waiting to see if these were indeed the raiders.

Yukiko charged her Katana with lightning chakara and observed there opponents, they were defenently the exile ninja, they were all male and she tried to make a joke before the oncoming battle "couldn't handle the women ninja eh?" she said to the group with a fake smile, she gripped her Katana tightly and they group stopped a few meters away, one of the males stepped forwards and Yukiko deducted that he was probably the ring leader
"you have something that we require, hand it over or die" the male said and stared Yukiko in the eye, she calmly held his gaze.

Tsukiakara continued to wait. He wanted his enemy to make the first move since his strength was in short ranged attacks. Besides someone had to guard the rest of the supplies in case they were able to get past Yukiko.

She smirked and teleported behind the furtherest ninja to which she stabbed with her Katana, lightning coursed through his body and he slumped to the ground, she tried to pull her Katana out of his body but couldn't, it was stuck, two other ninja surrounded her and grabbed her, she would've dodged but she was shocked to find that her hand was stuck to her Katana, what was going on here, something wasn't right.

Waiting was over. He had to make his move now. He threw his kunai at one of the men. All of them missing. Taking out both swords sheathed on his back, he then charged at the closest ninja.

Yukiko reamined calm as one of the ninja put a arm around her waist and held a kunai to her throat.
"drops your weapons and hand over your cargo or the girl dies" the ninja that was holding Yukiko spoke with meanace in his voice and Yukiko didn't want to fail a mission because of her own cockyness. She looked her Allie in the eyes and smiled "just go I'll be fine, take the weapons and escape" she had no idea what was going to happen to her after he left but she left the smile on her face to calm her team mate.

Tsukiakara stopped the charge. Man this way bad. How was he going to get out of this one? He had no choice. He stabbed his swords into the ground and backed away. “The good are over there. If you want them you’re going to have to get them yourself.” Maybe this will make two or three of the men have to go and get the goods leaving only a few to guard Yukiko. It would be even better if they tried to attack him just to get him out of the way, because if they did he had just the jutsu to get both him and Yukiko out of this. However, it would only work if they attack him. All he had to do now was to see what they’re going to do.

"bring the cart over to us boy" the man growled, Yukiko rolled her eyes this ninja was getting on her nerves, she spied a kunai jutting out of Tsukiakaras right pocket, now if only she could get him close enough to grab it, she sight loudly and pretended to be afraid, it was so realistic to she genuinely looked like an innocent girl "just bring them over Tsukiakara and let's get out of here" she let her voice sound shaky and widened her eyes a littl, now she hoped he would walk past her just close enough so she could grab it. She let go of her Katana, that was a good sign.

Tsukiakara sighed and turned around to grab the cart. He then proceeded to bring it closer. He stopped at about were he stabbed his swords into the ground. “Ok now let her go.”

The ninja holding Yukiko chuckled "but now we have the weapons and a girl, why would we let her go when she could be useful to us"
Yukiko growled lightly, what was that supposed to mean, Tsukiakara was still out of reach and if she didn't get the kunai or some other sort of weapon she would be toast until he released her, she didn't dare try to use her Katana again for fear that she might get stuck to it again. She needed a plan, Mabey she could get this ninja to lower her guard if she played the innocent and scared girl again, she hated herself for what she was about to do.

Tsukiakara just stood there. He too was out of ideas. Try and attack, she dies. Try to throw a kunai and miss again, she dies. Bring the cart any closer, she dies. He needed to get the enemy closer but how? “You know, it wouldn’t be smart if I took the cart all the way to your guys’ hideout. So why don’t you just come over here, take the cart, leave the girl, and go?,” he said.

"smart idea kid, Renji go and retrieve the cart" the ninja ordered and one of the men from the back walked over and took hold of the cart, then snarled at Tsukiakara. Yukiko stopped trying to do anything, Mabey Tsukiakara had a plan "please let me live, I'll do anything" her innocent eyes widened and she turned slowly to face her captor, her right hand gently brushed the mans crotch and she saw his eyes light up, this man made her sick, she didn't look down but continued to gaze frightendly at the ninja while her right hand brushed his side trying to see if he had any weapons on him, but at the same time trying to make it seem free of suspicion.

Ok now it was time to make a move. Moving quickly he got behind the man pulling the cart and put a kunai at his neck in the same fashion as the other guy was doing to Yukiko. “Ok, now give me the girl or he dies.”

The man that Tsukiakara held the kunai to growled but stayed still, good job TsukiakarA Yukiko thought but didn't show it, she turned back around, Mabey she wouldn't have to do anything but when the man holding her chuckled she mentally cursed, what now "what makes you think I care if that man dies" Yukiko could tell he was lying, she was trained to sniff out if people were lying but she kept her mouth shut, her captor was an exelent lyer and she could tell that the lie slid feom his lips easily, but she hoped that her team mate wouldn't fall for it. Tsukiakaras hostage widened his eyes "but brother.." he reasoned. That explained it, he didn't want Tsukiakara to kill him but he had to act like he didn't care in hopes that he would release his brother.

“Oh, so you’re that kind of leader,” He looked at the other men. “So you’re all expendable. If you were in this guy’s shoes he wouldn’t even care if you died as long as he could get the goods for himself.” Maybe if he could cause contention amongst themselves there would be an opening to save Yukiko.
