Looking for trouble on the mountain. (Open)

Ryou turned back as he finsihed leaving town and he just stared at the town with indifferent eyes. After a minute or two he pulled his mask up more and began to walk towards the Great Snow Mountain. As he made his way up the snow fall began to increase it's pace as he made his way towards the mountain. As he walked his head was in a constant state of rotation his father had always warned him to never stop surveying his surroundings as enemies could come from anywhere at any time.

As Ryou reached the base of the mountain he stopped and sat down on a fallen tree. His mission was a simple scouting assignment so he was sure he could take his time without any real worry. He wasn't the only one on this mission he knew, but in recent times there had been no enemy encounters. Ryou scoffed lightly as he knew well that no one in their right mind would want to leave the warmth of the mainland for the Frozen Desert. So he just sat down on that tree with the inention of resting for a time all the while his head was still in a constant state of movement.

A female figure started walking very slowly in the distance. She didn't have the clothes necessary for such cold conditions. Things were going to worse for the figure as a snowstorm was on it's way. Nonetheless the figure continued to move. (sorry for the short post)

Ryou straightened up on his tree slowly pulling out a kunai knife from his ninja tools bag. He knew that this female figure didn't have the clothes necessary for the extreme cold, yet she was still here. Ryou stood slowly and began to try and sneak his way closer to the female figure. If she was an enemy then she was poorly trained as their enemies knew to wear the warm clothes needed for this country. If she was an ally then it must be her first trip here, and she had simply no idea how cold it was. Either way Ryou had to approach her.

When Kyou got closer some more details about the figure appeared. She was about in her preteens. She was also shivering a lot. It seemed like she would fall over any minute they way she walked. Red stains were on her footprints she left in the snow. She continued to trudge through the snow which was about knee deep for her. She also making no indication that she detected Ryou mainly because she hadn't detected him. Then the storm came in and snow started to fall even harder.

Ryou put the kunai away judging her to be no threat in her current condition. He walked up to her with a bit less caution, but he did still keep on his toes. As he approached her he called out over the storm "Are you lost!? What village do you belong to?!" He didn't wait for his answer and kept approaching the girl.

The girl looked back to see Kyou. She had a wound at her hips. It was bleeding badly but she tried to hide it with her hand and arm. She was on a mission and she didn't know whether this guy could be trusted so she had to come up with some lies. "No, I'm fine, just a traveler from the Hidden Sand." She started with a few lies. Truth was she was indeed lost and was from the Village Hidden in the Valley.

Ryou spotted the red of her footprints and quickly determined she was injured. He thought a moment and the hidden Sand village was an ally to the Hidden Leaf, and they were in turn allies with the land of Snow. Ryou got closer to the woman and took off his coat offering it to the woman "You need to wear this. In this cold you'll die of hypothermia before blood loss." As he held the coat out to the girl he looked her up and down "What's your name? and how did you come to be injured?"

Once again lies needed to be made up so she quickly blurted out "Setsuki, my name is Setsuki." The how she was injured question was going to take a little bit more time to think about before she could give an answer. As for the truth, her real name was Muki and she was being chased by rouge ninja at this very minute. She had a huge head start from them now but by the way she left a trail she would be very easy to track. She took the coat and wrapped it around herself. "Thank you" She said trying to smile but both the wound and the cold stopped it from emerging.

Ryou made a mental note of the woman's name as he began to lead her towards the Village where she could get proper medical attention. He heard the Setsuki's thanks and nodded his head lightly "Of course. I would never leave a woman, bleeding, and cold. That's just not a proper thing to do. So how did you say you recieved this injury again?" He asked lightly even though he knew full well she had not given him an answer the first time he asked.

"I...I was attacked by highwaymen. I was able to get away without them stealing anything but they managed to give me a pretty bad cut." She lied some more. She was on a mission to deliver a box. It was pretty valuable so the less people knew about her the better. She followed slowly with Ryou as he led them to his village.

Ryou blinked lightly it was a rarity to find petty bandits in this land of ice, snow, and cold. He made no mention of this and he began to move his head scanning for any possible threats. At that moment he spoke "Well, at least I found you. If you go without medics for too much longer you won't have a good chance of making it. That is if hypothermia doesn't catch you first."

No threats came, yet. Muki continued trudging through the snow following Ryou to the village. When the village got into view Muki's body could not take it anymore and she fell into the snow unable to continue further.

Ryou bent down and looked at his wounded charge with concern "Mi lady. The Village is within reach. If you will permit me I shall be more than happy to carry you the rest of the way." He turned his head to keep an eye on their backs he knew that whoever had attacked this woman was going to make sure she couldn't get help.

(Then I'm coming in with a bang)

A long and ground trembling explosion could be heard in the distance. A large smoke trail appered, and after a while, the figure of a man. He made his way quickly to the other two in the snow. And ANU mask on his face and a clock over his shinobi Flak jacket. "Did either of you see a man run this way." The Anbu member said and then looked at hte girl. "Are you ok?" He asked and took off his clock to offer to her.

Ryou whipped around to look towards the direction the explosion came from he watched as the smoke trail was sweapt away by the storm.

When he saw the figure coming towards them he instinctivly reached for his puppet scroll. He was about to unroll it and summon out his puppet when the figure got closer and was wearing an Anbu mask. Ryou relaxed slightly still ready to react if need be, but Anbu were from the Village of the Leaves and Ryou knew that they were always welcome.

When the Shinobi asked if they had seen a man run this way Ryou shook his head "No I haven't...but maybe she has, after all she's injured." He bent down to his companion and gently placed a hand on her back as he inspected the clock the Shinobi was offering.

Muki looked back at the other man that appeared. He seemed powerful so as long as she didn't get on his bad side she would be alright. "Do you have a picture or something?" She asked.

"No, the bastard is to quick for us to even get an idea of who we are...." Nato stopped midsentence and turned his head. "Get Down" He yelled and pushed the two down into the snow as a hail of kunai flew at them. Nato used his plate armguards to protect himself best he could, but one hit him just below the rib cage. Nato pulled out hte dagger and held in backhand. "We need to get out on here. Make your way to the village. I'm not letting another die to this monster."

Ryou growled as he ate snow. He shook himself off and stood up looking in the direction of the attack. He reached for his scroll ready to ignore the Anbu's words when he remembered his companion. He turned and bent down again "Mi lady can you move? If not I shall carry you."

"I can move" She said. She could move but it wasn't going to be nearly as fast as they need her to go. But the attacker, it was the same that almost sliced her in two. Clearly he was back to finish her off and take the package she carried for himself. She started to run as fast as she could but it wasn't that fast. The blood from her wound began to drip even faster now.

Nato walked behind the two making sure they weren't attacked again. When he noticed that he girl was bleeding, he made the decision that sloped was more important now. He pulled out a twelve sided star with them around them. "We're moving now." he lifted the Gil, holding her in hr arms and started to run. "let's go."

Ryou followed after the Anbu keeping pace with him. Ryou had grown up running in the snow so he was pleanty capable to keep up with this shinobi. His hand found his scroll and took it off of its resting place. He had a feeling he would need a quick summon if things went the wrong way.

Well she didn't ask to be carried but she didn't mind. The Anbu was sort of hot with his muscular arms. She blushed a bit as they ran. The criminal continued to follow them which also scared Muki at the same time. The box she carried in her pockets would continue to draw that man. She didn't want to get cut again or worse.
