Joint cooperation (Gor & Bird possibly Mature XD)

“Actually there is a few canyons.. They are pretty high and flat on the top making it easier to spot someone coming, but it would require us to go a little east putting us of coerce by a bit” She told him. The ninja however heard this plan. If that was the move Chiba and Muki were to make then they would have to strike before they reached the canyon. They all signaled each other and drew there weapons.

"yeah that would be perfect and if it's not far off, trading time for safety is a good thing" he replied. His hand resting on his scabbard he jumped up onto the cart to sit. He looked around in the dark trying to spot any threat. It was only because of this he managed to hear the whistle of a thrown kunai just in time. He ducked and rolled off instictivly. The thud of metal on wood sounded as they stuck into the cart. He landed on his feet and drew his sword. They were under attack!

More kunai flew whistled through the air some of them hitting Muki. She turned into a puff of smock revealing that it was a clone. She jumped right behind Chiba, her own kunai drawn. The men still did not make themselves known and used the trees for hiding cover. They continued the assault moving from hiding spots from time to time. “What’s the plan?” She said using her knife to deflect a kunai from hitting her.

"why do you think I have a plan" he said as he stood up and kunai flew at him, time slowed as he moved fast. So fast that that he weaved between the the kunai and he flicked his wrist to deflect a kunai aimed for muki. "but once you asked, i do have a plan" he smiled as he forced chakra into his blade and swung in a wide arc towards the forest.he sent a cutting slice that would even cut trees in two.

The men dodged the arc but the trees they were hiding in weren’t so lucky. This made hiding impossible now. They were completely visible to both Chiba and Muki. “Okay I can help” She said doing some hand signs. This casted a small genjutsu on all five men making them think that Muki and Chiba were closer to them. They charged after the fake Muki and Chiba that was created in their minds allowing a big opening for Chiba to finish them off.

"huh, that's a nice jutsu" Chiba commented as he flicked his wrist and the chakra in his sword realised another wind blade. The arc race forward and cut the now exposed enermy ninja in twain. He sighed as he they died. It wasn't much of a fight being over so quickly. They were pathetic ninja. " those of Unjust will perish in the fires of retribution" he commented and prayed that their souls went to a better place.

“That was pretty cool.” She said commenting on his arc. That was the problem she had. While her genjustus was strong she couldn’t kill them fast enough before they broke the justu. “We better hurry if we want to make it to the canyon before nightfall” She said starting to lead the way again.

"yeah I still need to work out the kinks in it though" he said as he turned back to the cart, his sword came immediately to guard as he saw the slumped body of the driver. A kunai placed in his throat and as Chiba got closer he could see a box missing. He cursed violently, it was the one they were supposed to be protecting " it was only a fucking diversion" he exclaimed.

Muki quickly looked around to see if she could fine any tracks. There were none. “Whoever took it got to it long before these guys attacked us.” She then looked at the body of their teammate. There was something unnatural about it but she just excused it for now. “What should we do?” She said.

"the only thing we can do" Chiba said heavily as he sheathed his sword and walked over to the guys body. He then laid it down on the back of the cart and with two fingers. Closed his lifeless eyes. " the mission has failed, we lost a comrade and have no way of tracking the enermy. We have to go back" he said as he clamoured into the seat and offered muki his only hand up.

She was really wanting to go home but it couldn’t be help. She grabbed his hand and hopped onto the cart sitting right by him. “I guess this won’t be a record breaker after all.” She mumbled to herself. It would be yet another mission she had failed.

"a record breaker?" Chiba asked quizily, he didnt get where he was without having exceptional abilities. One of those was great hearing. He held the rein in his one hand, hand nerviously away from his scabbard. It was probably the worst thing letting him drive, it was dark and he was on uncertain roads. They might get lost.

“Oh,” She said surprised he heard her, “Well I sort of have a record of failing my missions often. I was hoping this would be the one mission that would stop that.” She said looking down at the road ashamed. It wasn’t fun being the laughing stalk of the village goes of her habit of failing missions. The rain started to fall again on their heads.

Chiba chuckled "your not the only one, I'd have to use fingers I don't have to count my failed missions. Why I'm always stuck with odd teams and such" his smile soon faded and turned into a violent curse as it began to rain. " rain again, I hate fucking rain and yet I live in the place where it falls the most. "remember this muki, care not what others think" he spoke.

“Okay I’ll try to remember” She said looking up at the rain fall. The people laughing at her wouldn’t feel so bad if she also didn’t beat herself up over it. She let out a depressed sigh. The rain was bumming her out and now they could camp in some nice canyon.

Chiba glanced over at muki and saw her expression and guessed. "we can stop somwhere dry is you can guide us their?" he said as he stared into the dark road ahead. Somewhere dry was nice and warm. He didnt think their was a village around though but he could only hope. Plus they could leave a body out in the rain long before it bloated. Especially in the hidden rain territory.

“I’m not as familiar with Hidden rain territory as I am with Valley territory but I think that there is a patch of trees over to the west. I used them on my way up here. They provide a nice bit of cover from the rain.” She told him pointing in the right direction. She traveled a lot so she knew how to get places without getting lost all the time, which seemed to be Chiba’s greatest weakness.

"okay then" he said as he tuned and lead the cart in that direction and sire enought their was a dry patch under some trees. She was realy good with directions, he might have to team up with her permanently. He smiled at the thought, yeah right. He got off and quickly found somthing to put the body in. Then when that was sorted, after some trouble. One arm struggling, he decided to make camp. First came the traps and then everything else.

She started to set up the camp as he took care of the body and the traps. She didn’t know why he was setting up traps maybe he had a bounty on him or something. The one tent (since that was all they had) was soon set up and Muki got to work on starting a fire. When Chiba came back from setting traps she asked, “Do you have a bounty on you or something?” She asked sweetly showing she didn’t care if he did or no

"huh? Well....yes. I don't know who put a bounty on my head, a scorned rich enermy perhaps but I have one none the less. A big one at that" he said quite proud of the fact that his bounty was probably as High as the stuff that they failed to protect. He hoped the hidden valley didn't want to re coop their losses by collecting on his head. He say down next to the fire, hand on sword. He looked out and away from the fire, trying to keep his night vision as best he could.

“Oh, I was just wondering what the traps were for that’s all” She said putting her hands out to warm them up. Even though they failed, Muki was exhausted. She reached down her pack and lifted out some food that she quickly started to heat up by the fire. When it was done she handed a plate of it to Chiba. “Wants some?” She asked.

"thank you" he said politely taking only the smallest but before eating it slowly.Mukis movements were slow and her eyes droopy, she was quite tired. He got his own measly lunch oi and began to eat "here" he said offering her some in return. "get some rest, I'll take watch" he finished. He was cautious even now, it was always good to be prepared. Only in the hidden rain was he safe and those with him.

“Thanks” She said taking the food then heading over to the tent. Inside she finished the food he gave her. After that she food an nice patch of ground and laid down. It wasn’t the most comfortable things in the world but Muki was used to it. She gave out a loud yawn shortly before she closed her eyes. Sleep soon came afterwards.

Chiba didn't go to wake her to switch watch, infact he stayed up the entire night. He wasn't tired and he didn't want to wake muki. He doused the fee soon after she went to sleep, his eyes getting used to the moonlit night. The wind kicked up slightly as it whistled through the trees. The night past without incident and he watched the beautiful sunrise. Admiring its simple yet eloquent beauty.

Muki slept through the entire night not even waking up once to switch watch. She was so tired even after the sun began to rise she still laid in the tent sleeping. She was having wonderful dreams of living in a candy forest (and fighting a few bad guys to make them stay away). Light snores could be heard coming from the tent as she continued to sleep.
