Meeting for Reason

"Wow! T.M.I. Toshi. way too much info. I'm sorry I asked too. Ummm... ya see the dragons yet?"

"Ooh, sorry... But he said he'd let me go if I find someone I love enough to do it with. Hm... Hey, that's a baby dra- oh, no, that's a beaver."

"That mat take a while. But you'll have to wait for that." Yuudai thought he saw the dragon but it was just a toaster.

"Nah, that guy won't come. I'm going to have to stay with Aiden-sama until I die..." she said, frowning. "I just don't attract guys how Miru-san does."

"Ya never know. A guy could come. The thing is every time you get close to a guy, he meets Aiden then they run away. When you try to after a guy Aiden drags you back into him. You have to sever the connection he has for you and then you may be able to meet someone."

"Ah, but..." She had sat straight up in shock. "I don't wanna leave him like that... Why aren't YOU running away from me because of him, then."

"Because: unlike some people I was alone for most of my life. So I'm not afaid of a 20 year old deamon."

Toshi laughed and nodded, smiling."I see. Well...Will you run away if I - hey, the baby dragon! Let's go!"

"Yea. Hey what were you gonna ask me Toshi?" Yuudai started walking.

"Hm, nothing. Race ya!" Toshi grinned and hopped away

"Race me where? And what were you gonna ask me?!" He followed closely behind Toshi.

"To the K.I.A memorial again! Hehehe!" Toshi grinned, and picked out a bunch of wildflowers growing around them to be a gift. When she saw the familiar blue stone, she slowed her hops and stopped right infront with a solemn, but proud smile.

When Yuudai landed he asked, "What were you going to ask me Toshi?"

"Ehh, it was nothing important, don't worry," she mumbled. Toshi placed the flowers where she had put the sunflowers, and bowed in respect to the memorial.

"Well I wanna know. What is it?" Yuudai then began reading the names on the monument.

"It's nothing, just nothing." Toshi sighed and ran a hair through her hair. She would have to cut it soon. She, too, began reading the names, wishing well for the heroes' afterlives.

"Please tell me. I want to answer. Its gonna be bugging me until you do." He looked slightly at her then looked back at the names.

"Naw, just forget about it." Toshi smiled sweetly at him, then continued reading. "Curiousity killed the cat. Besides, you might run away if I tell you," she whispered lazily.

"If you do ask me, then I promise you that I won't run away. Even if it has to do with any deamons, like Aiden, or Asmo."

"Oh, fine... You're too curious for your own good," she said, smiling wryly. "If... If I try matchmaking you and Kikisu-chan..."

"Finish the question before I say my answer." he was gonna explode if she said anything more about getting him and Kikisu together.

"Well... C-can I try matchmaking you with her, just to see if you like her back....?" she squeaked, and backed away until she was near the logs.

He was about to explode, but then reliseide something, "Ok. Fine. You are my friend I'll do it. But you got to promise me that if I don't, me and you will come back. Okay?"

Toshi nodded slowly, then walked up to him and frowned. "You... You're angry, aren't you?" she asked, and put a hand on his forehead.

"I was gonna get angry, but I remembered: You are my closest friend, I would die for you. So I will do it."
