The Quest For Power

Toshi was crying. "Aiden-sama, why...?! Why do I keep getting hurt like this? Did I do something wrong?"

Aiden sighed and hugged her. "No, no, you're a good girl. I've been telling you all year long: he loves you, and he wants you safe. That's why Asmo and I need to die."

"He just wants me safe?! What about happy? I don't want so much bloodshed over me, Danna!" She cried harder into his chest, and with every tear, her hate for herself grew.

Yuudai heard Aiden say, "Thats why me and Asmo have to die.' Now Yuudai was stuck withthe hrlardest choice in his life: Either kill Aiden and make Toshi safer, or Not kill Aiden and keep Toshi happy. Yuudai jumped down from his tree and looked streight into Toshi's eyes with eyes saying, "I love you but want to make you safe. So I need to think for a while... I need to leave and think"

"No... N-not again! Yuu-chan, no!" Toshi let go of Aiden and hugged Yuudai tightly, crying. "Why won't you listen to me? Stay with me, here, and just live life to the fullest! I don't care if it's dangerous! Life is full of risks! But if I am going to die, I don't want to waste this life seeing you do bad stuff, just for me! Yuudai, don't go, I love you...!"

Yuudai looked at Toshi in the eyes and sincerily said, "You have to either choose 1 of 3 things: Either: Me, Aiden, or Neither. And those are unimportant to me. My choice is to either: Kill Aiden and make you safe, or to: Not kill Aiden and make you happy. Trust me I could kill Aiden right now. I'm not leaving to train, but to think. And I don't even know if I'm going to leave at all. Butif I did I woulden't have the small distraction of Aiden trying to kill me after all I told him. So frankly I have two choices and one is really hard for me because I want to make you happy , but I want to make you safe. Because I love you too Toshi.

Toshi let go of Yuudai and sighed. "So much pain...just over me, huh? A stupid, ugly, selfish, ungrateful brat. I don't deserve either one of you, do I? I pick neither."

"Is that a confirmation?" Aiden asked, hoping hard that it wasn't.

"Yes."

"Very well, then. I will stop seeing you, or find any news of you," he said sadly. He bowed, and disappeared.

"You can tell me the same thing, Yuu-chan. Go on," she said, wiping her face. Her heart was just split into two, and one half was taken away.

Yuudai sniffed then said sadly, doing his best to make his voice not sound like it was going to break. "Then I guess this is goodbye Toshi" he gave her one last hug and then said, "Because of your choice, I will not live in the Uchiha mansion anymore. And i will only communicate with you when you adress me." then he muttered to himself, "At least Kikisu and Ember are still my friends. Anyway. Goodbye Toshi. I'm sorry if I ever did anything to upset you and please forgive me of anything I did to make you sad." then he walked away with his hood back up.

"Good bye..." Toshi said. After his chakra essence disappeared, she smirked. "Damn, the boys these days. So aggressive." She chuckled, and there was a poof.

Asmo smirked, went over to a tree and pulled the roots. The bark opened, showing a secret compartment. With a tied up, unconcious Toshi. He smirked again, picked her up and began leaping away.

Finally...

He could eat.

What Asmo didn't know was when Toshi wasn't paying attantion once, he had put a tracking devise on Toshi. Besides, Toshi was crazy tothink he was gonna give up on her. So as soon as he was out of sight he waited a minute and then sprinted back. Seeing Asmo and some deamons. Yuudai was out in the open but Asmo still didn't realise that he was there.

Asmo grinned as he leaped away and carried her to the meadow in the forest of Death. The one with the memories. But first, he had something to do. He laid Toshi down gently with a kiss, then disappeared. Demons patrolled the meadow, given orders to protect Toshi with their lives.

Yuudai popped in with Asmo after they had already gone. When he was there it felt much more humid than when he was in the forest of death before. Yuudai then saw Toshi and some deamon guards. Doing the clasic pacing guard back and forth. Yuudai snuck from tree to tree looking for Asmo. 'I thought I kill him?' he thought.

There was a white tiger sleeping next to Toshi. If Yuudai wanted to get to her, he'd have to kill them all before Asmo came back.

Yuudai took cover behind the tiger so the small deamon guards didn'e see him. After slicing the throat of the tiger so it woulden't wake up. He sliced the tiger with a kunai. He siliently snuck up behind one of the guards, covered his mouth, cut his throat then all the way through and puting the two pecieses of the body behind the dead tiger and did the same to the other saying after puting each one behind the tiger and quietly, "Sorry mate. Had to do it." he then picked up Toshi and ran out of the forest.

Toshi blinked her eyes open and looked up at Yuudai. "Yuu-chan!" she said happily. "I haven't seen you in a year!"

"Toshi! Shhhh! We're still in Asmo's territory!" Yuudai said in the loudest whisper he could. When they were out of the forest of death Yuudai then explained, "What was the last thing you remember doing Toshi?"

Toshi frowned. "Asmo coming into my room and knocking me out..."

"Okay. Do you remember the argument we had about our different dicsissions and how you either had to choose me or Aiden? and I said I was gonna leave again to think about my decisions?

"No, I- YOU'RE LEAVING?! But I just found you!"

"No no no. I'm not leaving. So you don't remember that discussion? Do you remember me killing Asmo?"

"YOU WHAT?! YUU-CHAN, YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO!" Apparently, Toshi had been replaced by a demon since the night Asmo broke into her room those few weeks ago.

"Never mind that! Never mind! Do you remember me returning to the village and you bumping into me?"

"I just met you right now, silly!"

"So this is the first time you've seen me simce I left the village a year ago?"

"Yes! And you'd better not leave this time!" she said angrily, and kissed him.

Yuudai was really P'oed now. He was going to hurt Asmo so bad he will wish he was dead. "Stay here and don't follow me." Yuudai began walkijg toward the forest of deadth for Asmo.

But somehow, he wasn't there. There were demon bodies and the Jutsu was released, but he wasn't there. It was as if he disappeared.

Toshi was smiling and humming as she waited. Finally, Yuudai was back!
