The day went by, yet, there was still no answer from the 2 uchiha`s.

Sasori was sitting in the window frame, having a sleeping human chitose on his lip, nuzzling her chin gently. The puppet master turned his head to kakuzu, and let out a little sigh. "its taking to long..what if-".

Itachi appeard in the middle of the living room, having a few burn, and bite marks on his ripped shirt. "..i dont know what there is in thoose scrolls....but whatever it is...is strong enough to withstand my eyes...", the uchiha male feel to his knees, and a large open wound after claws, could be seen on his back. "..they have miru, but i dont know why they havent killed her..", he said, inorging the pain.

Kakuzu quickly helped the Uchiha up and place him on the armchair. He helped to tend to the wounds, sewing it up with his threads. It's not proper healing, but it should do for now. What can they do? Their medical back up was not here.

Not only Itachi but Chitose needs medical jutsu attention to heal too, her back still stings and sometimes it is hard to put her to sleep. "Rest. They're not going to do anything to her for now. Chitose just had another nightmare yesterday night. Said something about proper preparation for sacrifice and rain," Kakuzu said, looking at Chitose and her bandaged arms.

He was thankful for the messages from her nightmare. But certainly not happy with the damages she gained. He looked at the sky, and it's light grey like the usual Sand country's sky.

The rain is still a few days away so they should have enough time.

As the Uchiha rested, Kakuzu went scouting around the village for information. Chitose woke up in Sasori's arm in the evening, eyes heavy-lidded and too tired and sore to move. She couldn't even stand, let alone have the chakra to be in her usual cat form. Thanks to the nightmares.

She saw Sasori staring at her, so she smiled at him, telling him that she's okay. She glanced around the room, noticing Kakuzu near the fireplace in a pensive expression.

Sitting in the armchair was the Uchiha who was already awake, his eyes told her that he was worried about his younger sister. However, when he laid his eyes in her human form for the first time, surprise and amazement was shown in his expression. Because everyone was too used to her cat form, it made him wonder.

Was she a girl who can turn into a cat or a cat that can turn into a girl?

Chitose shifted in Sasori's arm. Ignoring the Uchiha's stare,closing her eyes once again, trying to find a particular Uchiha that she couldn't find in the living room.

She'll find her in her dreams.

She cuddled closer into Sasori's chest, burying her face into his neck and breathe slowly, trying to ignore tha pain on her body as she falls into a deep sleep.

"hm..its amazing", sasori said, breaking the silence that had lasted for 3 hours now. "Its no wonder you want to protect her so much, kakuzu-san...she truly is what you would exspet true innocent to look like..well..when she sleeps", he said, looking down at chitose, sleeping heavly in his wodden arms.

Itachi stayed silent, he knew that if miru got harmed in any way, or worse killed, genesis would take back the scroll since he said he wanted miru as wife, why, he didnt understand..all he knew was that genesis apperently had been on genin team with his mother, and had fallen in love, so maby miru was a replacement for mikoto?, He didnt know.

There was a large lake in front of her when she opened her eyes. The sky was dark and it was raining. The sand was heavy and it took all of her effort to just take a step.

'Witness... the sounds of the upcoming chaos'

There are voices coming from a distance. Voices she couldn't understand, voices she couldn't identify...

'Feel the tears of God upon this pathetic world...'

'See the truth that lies beneath the lies...'

'Feel the agony of one's lost heart...'

'Hear the sad wind, the lonely rain...'

She walked nearer to the lake, and realized that the water is black in colour. She couldn't see her own reflection. But she could see somebody else's.

'Chitose...'

A voice called out to her from beneath and she stepped into it. Drowning her consciousness and believing in the voice she knew was Miru's.

Chitose woke up with a jerk, and almost fell off Sasori's embrace. Even the puppet master got surprised by her reaction. It was 2 am in the morning, both Kakuzu and Itachi were asleep. The puppeteer was just staring into space until she woke up.

"We have to go_" she coughed. "..."

Kakuzu looked at her. "Nightmare again?"

Chitose nodded and wanted to get on her feet. However, she stumbled and fell. "You're still too weak to move. Besides, Itachi isn't fully healed yet," Kakuzu said, looking at Sasori who helped her up.

"But what about the rain?" she asked, eyes looking perplexed. Kakuzu sighed and petted her head, putting his fingers over her eyes. "Sleep. The rain won't be here in a few days. She'll be okay."

Chitose frowned, her eyes closed, as she tried her best to fall asleep again. After an hour, she was restless. She grabbed onto Sasori, as she bury her face in his shirt, hiding her tears.

Sasori was looking down at a picture he had taken from the akatsuki cloak miru had forgotten in the living room. It showed her 2 children, along with the only grown up uchiha who still was loyal to the village, samu, and miru, standing in their clan clothes in front of the mansion. He gave chitose the picture, and gently nuzzeld her chin with his soft wodden finger. "Calm down chitose..look at the picture..try think how happy you make them when we save miru..", he said, not knowing any other way to cheer her up or give her hope.

Chitose didn't move at first. After a few seconds though, she turned her head slightly, opening only one eye, and it was teary. She touched the photo with one tiny finger, and traced a pattern around the female Uchiha. "We'll save her..." she said to herself. "Just one more clue... one more dream..."

Kakuzu frowned. "No, I think it's enough. You should stop seeking for those kind of dreams. it obviously does nothing but hinder your body's healing process," he said.

"But_"

"It's enough, Chitose. You've already given us enough clues. Let us do the rest, now get some sleep and regain your energy," he said.

Chitose looked neither very convinced nor relaxed. She could only stare at the photo Sasori held in his hands. She couldn't sleep. She'd only want to chase after the dream. "Lonely..."

"That was what I saw in her eyes. She had the same eyes as I did," she told Sasori, deciding to chat a while with him to help herself relax.

"hm..well..if you consider what has happend to her...its no surprise...She was forced by her own father to kill the love of her life when she was 6..danzo took her in, and she was isolated for love, friendship and comfort for 10 years..knowing that the only reason she lived was to kill the 2 men she loves..and even know, that she has 2 children, a lover, and her brothers are reunited..the scars from loneliness may never heal from her", the puppet master said, as brief as he could, he didnt tell everything miru had done, since it would break chitose heart listing to any more.

Itachi listend to it all what the puppet master said..for a brief moment, it seemend like he was about to cry of regret, but it was only a illisuion.

"Heartbreak... is hard to heal..." Chitose said. Even if you try not to think about it, the power of loneliness can be overwhelming. And it stays there, like the blood which stained her hands since she was seven. And no matter how she washes it, it wouldn't go away.

She looked at Sasori. He has the same eyes too, being separated from his parents from young, living a lonely life without being loved. Was having people who share the same loneliness by your side can make you feel better? She doubts so.

Somehow, she just feels that the world is unfair. Sometimes she wished she never exist. Sometimes she wished the rest who shared the smae pain never exist.

She wished heart wasn't so easy to break.

She shifted in Sasori's lap and whined a little when her back stings.

But she know, this is reality.

"..true..and all in akatsuki have it..even deidara when he isent exsploding things or taking care of tobi`s outburstes..you dont know this, but back when nakashima was living with miru togeder with aiden and her family, me and deidara often lived there..i saw joy in her eyes..and when sasuke and itachi came by, when me and deidara had to return and report, they also had the same thing...", he gently robbed her back with his wodden fingertips. "..I think..that what we all want, is a family..miru, sasuke and itachi-san are the only once who have someone left.."

The pain of losing someone...

"Ne, Sasori-senpai."

Chitose placed her hand on his cheek. He's made of wood, no matter how many times she told herself that, whenever she touches him, she could feel the warmth radiating from his body even if it shouldn't.

"Which is sadder? To be immortal knowing that you will never be able to reach your goals... Or to die without accomplishing the goals?"she asked. Fingers tracing the line of his jaw, his art, especially one of his own body never ceases to amuse her.

Sasori let her touch his face, for some reason she always enjoyed that..she was curitos, just like the little shiro, the only other female uchiha alive. "Hmm..that depends on the goals...im immortal myself...infact, i know a few who has been, or are immortal..but i think you should talk with miru about this..i know she has something planned with itachi and sasuke.."

Miru...

Chitose turned to look at the grey skies. She really does hope it wouldn't rain soon. With her condition... its impossible to fall asleep and expecting she wouldn't be assaulted in her nightmares again.

Kakuzu looked perplexedly at the young lady. For some reason she reminds him of Miru and the older Uchiha. She would unconciously carry the weight of the world on her shoulders.

Sometimes it would make him worry, but sometimes he admired those qualities in them. No matter how much it damages them, they'd want to protect.

It made him think. If he were to be like her, to be strong and to fight for someone else's sake, who would fight for his sake? Who would protect him?

By looking into her eyes, he found the answer.

'I'll always be by your side.'

In a sudden change of events, itachi, who had drifed up to sleep again, suddenly awoke with a gasp, a loud one, wich probably was the loudest he ever had spoken in the group. The oldest uchiha sibling was breathing sligtly hard, even sweating a little.

Sasori, who rarely sleept due to his body was of wood, so he didnt need to rest it, looked down at chitose. "..is it possibol they are haunting him now?..because he is her brother?"

Chitose shook her head, not knowing what was going on. But what Itachi had was probably just a nightmare. Or maybe it could be a premonition. She wiggled out of Sasori's embrace and walked precariously towards the Uchiha. She placed her hand on top of his sweaty forehead and then all of it, came tumbling upon her.

"The sea was dark. The kind of blue that is so dark it seems black in color. Chitose thought she was alone as she looked down at them bottomless sea. She saw the Uchiha. The older one. He was somewhat unconscious but otherwise floating gracefully in the sea.

She swam towards him and tried to call out to him, but only bubbles escaped her mouth. She then remembered, this is a vision. There was no need of respiration.

She held the Uchiha by her arm and swam towards the direction where the young female Uchiha was calling out. But halfway through, there was a change in currents in the water. As if a storm is happening on the surface. The water swept the both of them to the seaside, while still submerged in the water, Chitose could see the danger of them being crashed into the rocks and corals nearby and she tried her best to swim to the other side.

However, to no avail, for the last resort, she grabbed hold of Itachi in a hug and closed her eyes shut tightly as she waits for the impact to hit her back.

Chitose opened her eyes and realized she was wet from perspiration. She could saw blur images until she blinked a few times, she saw Itachi hovering over her, slapping her awake. Kakuzu. He was pacing around the room, looking out the window, then sitting near her. And Sasori, he was pressing hard to her head.

"What... what happened?" Chitose said. "Stop moving." Kakuzu reprimanded. He doesn't know what happened either. One minute she was touching the Uchiha, after a few seconds her head started bleeding and she collapsed onto Itachi. He told Sasori to stop the bleeding, it was hard, the wound was big.

When he wondered what made such damage_she wasn't even sleeping or having a nightmare_ The Uchiha prodigy told him about the sea and the rocks.

Why was he even having the same vision as her? And why? Why is she the only one vulnerable to premonition's ramifications?

"..we need to leave now..", itachi said, remeber the clear calling miru had made for him. "Whatever thats in that scroll, its not going to wait for the rain...not much longer..her voice was weaker..", he mumbled, dragging on his akatsuki cloak.

"Hm..got it..", Sasori said, picking up chitose. "Let her rest with me..", sasori said to kakuzu, knowing the older man was worried for her the most.

"There...there was a large plain field..." Chitose said, trying to remain conscious as she lied down against Sasori. "A scarecrow... A lighthouse... there was a lighthouse!"

Kakuzu frowned. The only place with the lighthouse is the beach. But why was there a plainfield? A scarecrow?

He stopped walking as they arrived at the beach, as expected, the lighthouse is there but no signs of scarecrows...

"She's down there," Chitose said. Breathing hard, she finds it difficult to remain awake due to the blood loss.

Kakuzu sighed. Why is it that at times like this their medical back-up is kidnapped, and why is it that Kisame isn't here to swim?

Really...

"I'll go with Itachi. Sasori, you stay here and look after her," he said.

Sasori opend his puppet, and looked at Itachi, who looked unsual angry and mad. "..hai, i will guard her with my life", he said, hoping the air would do her good.

"..lets go then..lead the way", itachi said, his sharingan turning on.

"Wait," Chitose said, eyes looking at Kakuzu. "Don't touch the ultraviolet rays that surrounds her. It's physically harmful," Chitose turns to look at Itachi. "Itachi-senpai... you need to find the source of chakra that emits it," she said, breathing heavily.

Kakuzu nodded and told her to rest and avoid from moving too much. Leave it to the adults to take care of this. Kakuzu walked into the water, followed by Itachi closely behind.

Chitose watched the both of them until they disappear beneath the water. Her lips had turned white and she shiverd from the cold.

sasori opend his cloak, and gently hugged her in against his surpringly warm wodden body. He then closed the cloak again, and closed hiruko`s top, so the wind didnt reach them. "..They will be fine..".

Itachi formed a handseal, and laid it upon his throat, it would direct his chakra around his blood veins to take the air from the water, giving him temporary lungs.

Kakuzu signaled at the Uchiha when he saw the glowing light from the bottom of the sea.

Both he and Itachi swam towards it's direction and Kakuzu could see the worried countenance of Itachi's when they saw Miru's unconscious body within the ray of light that Chitose talked about.

Itachi lifted his gaze and walked towards it. He reached out for her, but he got pain in his hand, so he withdrew it. "..what is this..what are they doing with her?..", he asked in a rather angry voice, looking at kakuzu with angry eyes.

"I think they're trying to use her as a sacrifice or something, I don't.. I don't know. Itachi, i need you to use your sharingan to find the source of this chakra or else we'll never get to her," Kakuzu said, looking at the Uchiha.

Back on the shore, Chitose initially fell asleep but woke up a few moments later when Sasori jerked her to the side all of a sudden. Blinking a few times, and she saw two rouge ninjas, one who she fought earlier another unidentified. Both of them were being assaulted.

She saw Sasori pull out his scrolls, she whined when she fell from Sasori's embrace in the middle of the battle.

Sasori came out of hiruko, but closed the puppet, and had it burry into the sand, so it wouldt get damage by any flying kunai`s or that. He summond his third kazekage puppet, and led the ironsand out to fight them.

Itachi took in a deep breath, and looked at the light keeping them from miru. He could see a dim souce of chakra, flowing from north of them, adding chakra to maintain the "field". "hm..this way", he said, swimming forward.

Kakuzu gave a small notion to Itachi that he will distract the creature that is maintaining the chakra while Itachi goes in for the kill. Kakuzu made a few Bunshin of himself and made them swim towards the creature.

Distracted, the crab-like creature made exploding water bombs to go at kakuzu. He avoided it easily, but some of his Bunshin got caught in it and disappeared into bubbles of water.

Chitose stood, her hand holding her own head, trying her best to ignore the pain. She looked around and saw Sasori battling both of the jounin. She turned her back against him.

The scroll... She need the scroll to summon back the creature.

She walked around, close to fall unconcious, her eyes were blurry and her hands are bloody.

She fell down after a few steps, then she saw a cave, half-immersed by the water. She walked towards it, sensing the chakra coming from the scroll that is connected to the creature beneath.

She took a deep breath, and jumped into the water.

"chitose!", the red haired puppet master yelled after her, but soon forgot to think, since 2 joinins would need all his attention.

Miru opend her eyes sligtly, feeling a urge to scream of pain, but she didnt, like her body was asleep, but her brain was working. She looked around oly to see the sea around her, feeling the seafloor in her sore back.

Itachi used a replacement jutsu with one of the clones, and got close enough tothe creature, to throw 3 kunai`s with exsplosion tags on were the chakra flew from.
