Shipwrecked (open)

Kaji nodded " I am Azrael" he said to her. He glanced over at lilith 'play it smooth' he told himself. "Its been a long time Lilith" he said as something materialized in his hand. it appeared to be a peach but something in the back of his mind told him different. " Fruit from the tree of life" he said offering it to her.

Lilith shook her head. Petty gifts didn't impress her, but even the smallest gift would make Isamu happy. Behind her back, Lilith quickly morphed the fruit into a sunflower. A surprised gasp from her niece showed that she succeeded. Isamu had always loved sunflowers. So big and bright and cheerful, she had begged her mama and her family to take her to sunflower fields. Isamu smiled up to Azrael, much more friendlier than before. It was an innocent smile - a maiden's smile, tainted by neither malice or hate. Isamu had a good heart, despite growing up around sin.

He held the flower out to her "Here you go" Azrael said simply. "So you live here?" he asked looking about, this wasnt konoha the flora was not right.

Leo wandered off in search of more food.

Isamu beamed and accepted the sunflower. It didn't have an alluring scent, and its color was so bright it would blind, but she didn't mind. Isamu loved the simple sunflower. She looked up at him and shook her head, her hair swaying with the movement. "No, I just happened to wash ashore here from a freak whirlpool... I don't have a way to get home yet." She had no means of getting off the island, and Isamu wasn't prepared to cross using the Underworld just yet.

She had washed up on the shores of this land and her watcher hadn't returned her home. Kaji was going to rip Samael a new one the next time he saw him. He glanced sideways at Lilith and wondered why she hadn't taken the girl back home.
He decided though to leave well enough alone for now.

"Well you must have found lodging someplace, could you take me to the nearest inn"

Isamu shook her head. "There aren't many people on this island, so there are no inns. I'm staying in a renovated house near the island centre, and it has everything I need there. The twins helped me find it."
"You're welcome to stay with her, if you want."
Naka had always taught Isamu to be careful around strangers, and Azrael was a stranger. But if Auntie Lilith, the most suspicious person she knew, trusted him like that, then so would she. "Would you like me to lead you there?"

So they were on an island, his little girl had washed up on a deserted island. Kaji set out a wave of killer intent, samael was going to pay. He took a few deep breaths and looked at isamu and nodded. 'at least she's safe' he thought glancing over isamu before fixing his eyes on Lilith, he had never liked her but he was grateful for her now.

"Well, I was gonna ask you, what's with the fruit basket?"
"Oh!" Isamu blinked and picked up her gift. Thankfully, it was okay. She put the snail that had crawled in on the ground, along with one of the strawberries as a snack. The kunoichi smiled and nodded to Azrael. "I'll show you to my lodgings, pick any room you want. After that, I need to go send this off, though. Mama taught me that giving gifts to people is part of Japanese tradition!"
Lilith giggled. Isamu was so innocent and gullible, just like her mother. Ushio had learned that gift thing from an anime, and with misleaded guidance from Aiden, believed it and taught it to Isamu. As the latter started chatting idly, she walked forth on the path ahead, bringing both Lilith and Azrael with her. Just because her parents died, it didn't mean she had to be depressed all the time. Her parents disliked each other, but they had loved her.

'she is so like her mother' kaji thought as isamu led him through the forest. He wondered if she had any Nara in her at all, perhaps a test would be in order. She chattered away and he would nod his head when it seemed right to do so. Kaji sighed quietly, perhaps he could bring ushio back to life and they could have marriage counseling, he shook his head. 'with all our problems no normal therapist would be of any use to me' kaji thought as he massaged the bridge of his nose.

They finally arrived at the house. Isamu smiled, she was happy the demons did such a great job. She would ask Auntie Lilith to reward them later. She turned to the two followers and bowed. "Welcome, this is where I - we - will be staying for some time. It's not that luxurious, but I'm sure it will meet your expectations." There were three bedrooms, just enough for them. Isamu kinda liked the place - it was nice and cozy and relaxing. She opened the thick, polished oak door to the house and led them in. The demons had beautifully renovated the place and it looked like new, not a spot of dust or mold in sight. "Pick whichever room you want," she chirped.
"I'll sleep with you, Izzy-chan!"
"Okay Auntie Lilith. What about you, Azrael-san?"

Azrael shrugged as it turned out he wouldn't need a room. He sighed " I won't require a bed, just a desk and a chair". Kaji had been incapable of sleeping longer than a couple of minutes, it seemed the fates had infact tied that part of him to ushio.
" I you'll excuse me I'll find a room which has what I require" he said giving them a slight bow before vanishing

Isamu tilted her head, curious. He was an insomniac? Interesting. Her mother had passed down to her a few techniques, including a massage that she claimed would always make Papa go to sleep. But then again it would be creepy if Izzy started to rub his shoulders all of a sudden. Isamu smiled to Lilith. "I'll be going now. Catch up with him, your friend, I think..?"
Lilith chuckled and shook her head. "Not a friend."
"Oh...uh...okay... Excuse me." Isamu slinked away with her basket and started for the twins' camp. Meanwhile, Lilith sat down in the living room and started to read a children's book.

Kaji had watched the girl leave, he morphed back into his regular form and collapsed into his chair. Rubbed at his eyes before shutting them, insomnia was just as he remembered.

Samael collapsed into a chair opposite Lilith "such a troublesome day" he sighed. He looked at Lilith she was reading a children's book "hows eternal life treating you Lilith".

Hideyoshi was swinging in the trees above isamus head "hello again isamu". He hopped down to walk beside her "did you find suitable lodging?"

Lilith put her feet up on the coffee table. Naka would have had a cow, but she wouldn't know. Though they shared the same body, they had different levels of manners. "My bouncing baby boy has grown into a nice young man and I have an endless supply of Loli, Chibi, moe girls to host me when I get bored. Just because I'm no longer your ex-wife, it doesn't mean I don't have a life." A demon totterdd in carrying a tray of cake and milk. Lilith looked up at Samael. "Want anything? We don't have forbidden fruit, but I can get some."

Izzy looked at the monkey and smiled and nodded. "Mm hmm! Tsu-san was really helpful. I'm staying near the town centre, near the river and vegetable patch."

Samael blinked she had just said she was not his ex? He must be hearing things for he knew Lilith felt nothing for him. He shook his head and held his hand out, a goblet appeared suddenly filled with nectar. "you know " he mused " I still feel something for you " he glanced over at her. It was not love or lust but something.

Hideyoshi perked up " Mito-himes old home, a very fine choice ".
The red monkey plucked a banana from the basket and ate it as they walked.

Kaji sighed as walked into the living room, his two favorite people were sitting there. " hello Lilith,would you like to help me rip this one apart" he said motioning to samael. Said angel looked taken aback "why what did I do"

"Hurt pride?" Lilith guessed. "Disappointment? I'm pretty sure it's not something good, considering the bad break up... Something about menand Ushio bein too young for you?" Lilith would not let it slide. She had no bad feelings for him, but still. COnfessig his love for her, then leaving her? No thank you. Lilith looked up and smiled as Kaji came in. "You let Isamu get stranded here."

Isamu smiled and nodded. "Mito? Can you tell me about her?" she asked him curiously.

Kaji narrowed his eyes on samael, he had left her here. Killer intent rolled off him, causing some of the tiny demons to flinch, kaji was not pleased with this news.
Samael chuckled nervously " it's true I didn't bring her back to the mainland but I didn't place her here " the fallen said holding up his hands.
" i left a ship anchored on the coast for her and the others " samael said defensively " I couldn't force her to go to it ".

Hideyoshi grinned he loved Telling people the history of Uzu. " Mito was the daughter of the main uzumaki house" he took another bite of banana and continued "she was the ideal woman, smart, attractive and kind". He ate some more and tossed the peel into the forest "mito left the Island with her new husband Hashirama Senju, he had founded konoha a little before that". The red monkey scratched his chin and kept in stride with isamu " shortly after Hashiramas battle with madara uchia, the 9-tails became konohas and mito sealed it within herself "

"You didn't even suggest it subconciously, or just inform her of its presence. You let her meet strangers all by herself and you didn't even tail her in case something happened," Lilith added. She had already planted Naka, Aiden and their family in the island soon after Isamu was to look after her. 'You don't even bother visit Kou anymore, he finally rode a bike without training wheels..."

At that, Isamu frowned. The 9-tails was in Naruto...wasn't it? She didn't like where this story was going. She knew it would end badly.

Samael folded his arms across his chest " I was watching over her, once I established she was with good people I left for the underworld " . He glared at his ex " besides her family is planted on the island and she has her own demon servants" 

Kaji looked between them both, and he sighed. He knew he had no right to be furious with them since isamu was not their child.  " What's done is done " he muttered sitting down in a chair.

" the uzumaki live longer than most and princess mito was the vessel not once but twice" Hideyoshi started walking on his hands as he continued the story. " the seal broke when the princess gave birth to her son, but she quickly recaptured the beast" they soon reached the twins house. 

Ama was hanging clothes out to dry, she waved to them. Hideyoshi flipped back onto his feet " Ama can fill you in on the rest" 

Lilith stuck her tongue out at Samael. She knew it was childish, immature and juvenile, but she stopped caring long ago. People, even demons, would hate her no matter what, and that would never change. No one could love her, not when she couldn't even love herself. She pat her servant demon on his little head between the spiralled horns and went upstairs. She didn't dislike socialising, she just didn't know how.

Lilith climbed into her and Izzy's bed and closed her eyes. A nap was well-deserved.

Isamu smiled and nodded to the red monkey. Princess Mito, huh? It sounded interesting, but it wasn't her story. She had no part in it, no part in the pain and anguish, so there was no need for her to prod and poke if it just made things worse. She approached Ama shyly and held out the fruit basket. "Hello! Um...ah... A gift, for all the care you've given me. I know it's not much, but my choices were limited."

Amaterasu smiled and accepted the fruit basket. "your company was a gift enough isamu" the raven haired woman said while pinning up her underthings. Once her task was done she sat down in a deck chair and sighed In Relief " you know isamu you could have stated with us, building an extra part on the house wouldnt have taken long".

Samael looked at kaji once Lilith had left " and she wonders why I started seeing other women". Kaji shook his head there had only been one moment when he thought about cheating on ushio and that had been his jealousy talking. He had been jealous of her love for yuudai uchiha, a boy whom was like a brother to her. When samael had separated from him his love for ushio Diminished, he still held a very faint flicker of love but it was just that faint. A thin red bit of Thread remained tied about one of his fingers. " guess the time wasn't right" kaji mused to himself since samael had vanished. Somewhere in the underworld she would have the other end

"But staying you would have been more of a liability than a pleasure. After being so nice to me, I wouldn't want to force all that on to you." Isamu smiled and sat on the chair next to hers, slightly angled. "I don't know what to do next, though. Should I stay or go? My family knows I'm safe, so they won't worry, but... Doesn't it get lonely out here?" she asked Ama. Isamu was raised with love, and lots of it. Unconditional, unwavering love. Her grandparents were the source of her views on romantic matters - find your soulmate and never be apart, even when she forgets all about you when she is reincarnated. For the past millenia, Aiden still made the effort to make her fall in love with him and marry him again. If that wasn't loyalty and love, then what was it?

Ama nodded "it is very lonely isamu" she said with a sigh. The woman looked at the teen "the main reason we haven't left yet is no boat has made it through the whirl pools in decades" she rested her head in her hand and frowned. "I haven't even kissed a boy yet" the raven haired woman huffed "it's just not -". Ama looked at her strange "wait how can you leave the island?" she asked the girl

"Well, I got here because of a whirlpool sucking me down when I went fishing. Oh, and when I was walking down the beach I saw a big ship there... I thought it belonged to you guys," she said, a bit shocked. They had never left the island? And Ama...she had never kissed a boy before? Isamu touched her lips lightly. She had been a big girl for a while now, but still no suitors. She was lonely. She watched her grandparents and even her uncles find love and she herself... Nah, Isamu wouldn't find a husband. She would just end up like Mama. Isamu smiled up at Ama weakly. "Would you like to visit Konoha?"

Ama nodded furiously " yes I always wanted to see the village lady Mito and Cousin kushina left for". The tale of lady Mito and her successor Kushina was tragic but inspiring. The two uzumaki had married kages and jailed the vicious ninetails, the only reason Ama knew about kushina was through the summon creatures. The slugs, toads, lions and foxes all told the same story Kushina uzumaki had married the fourth hokage and given birth to a son and that was how the fox got loose. "please isamu take us off this island and I'll love you forever" she said glomming the girl.
