New Teammate (Exile and Nbird)

Amaya sat in one of the many tree’s in the Kirigakure Forest. She was to wait for a another person from the Order that she was to team up with for this mission. He was to have the details and during the mission he would be her superior. She continued to sit and wait there silently. What was he going to be like she wondered.

Renji bolted through the forest. He was given orders to Eliminate the Imariac Clan. They were relatively small and insignificant in size. But the Order was hired to kill them. And Renji was one of the best. He was told that he would have a partner in this mission, a subordinate. He jumped into a nearby tree and saw the girl for the first time. He paused and awaited for her to see him. The Order made no sounds when meeting a contact. When one was paired up with another, they would lock eyes in silence and present the symbol for the meet up. Renji's was a white feather. He held it up and waited patiently.

She looked at the person with the white feather and took out a bright red star ornament. She waited to how he would respond.

Renji jumped to the tree the girl was in. He mouthed a question. "What is your name?" He knew there were a few mutes in the Order and wondered if she was one of them. It honestly didnt matter since they all learned how to read lips.

She understood what he was saying as she was taught to read lips though she still could hear. She proceeded to spell her name in sign language, “A-M-A-Y-A”

Renji signed out his name and looked toward the direction of the Imariac Clan stronghold. "Ready?" He whispered. Not waiting for her response he alighted down from the tree and began to walk the 2 miles needed to get to the stronghold.

She jumped down from the tree see was in and began following her partner. He hadn’t told her what they were doing or where they were going but she didn’t want to bother him by asking.

They stopped in a clearing about a mile from the target. "What are you best with when it comes to weaponry?" He asked her calmly.

She took out her crossbow that she carried on here back to show to her partner. “T-H-I-S”

Renji made a slight nod. Then he realized something. The girl hadnt been deemed worthy of wearing the emblem of the Order. She was still a rookie, probably only made 4 assassinations. This would probably prove her worthy. "He threw a kunai high into the air. "Shoot it 5 times in different places before it starts to fall."

Amaya quickly loaded one of here explosive tipped bolts and fired. It hit and better yet it allowed the kunai to say airborne a little longer. Fusing her hand with charka she pulled the crossbow sting back without having to step on the stirrup. She loaded another bolt this time a regular one and continued to fire. She continued to do this until she got to the last shot. Before she could fire the final shot the kunai had dropped into the trees. She had failed to hit it five times.

Renji smirked, though no one would see it through his mask. Not bad, but you only hit it four times. He threw another in the air. "Now hit it 6 times! Failure will only make things harder!"

Amaya knew that she needed to keep the kunai airborne a little longer. She tried the same strategy as before shooting an explosive tipped bolt then send in here normal bolts. But this time on the fourth shot she used another tipped bolt hoping that it would keep the kunai higher. It didn’t. Instead it sent the kunai into a million pieces of shrapnel. She had done worse then the last time.

Renji made a gesture indicating that she did a good job. "I commend you. The shot would have been impossible and so you did the next best thing. Always remember that completeing the mission is better then following exact details. Either way we still get paid."

Blowing up the kunai was unintentional but a long as she didn’t have to continue firing Amaya didn’t care. “SHALL-WE-GO” she asked in sign language.

Renji nodded and sped away heading for the stronghold. He dashed through the forest, jumping from tree top to tree top. He had executed whole clans by himsel before so this would be easy as anything he had eever done. Once he was at the perimeter, he stopped and looked around for Amaya. He hadnt known if she could keep up with him.

It took here a couple of minutes but she finally caught up to Renji. She than awaited further instruction.

Renji saw the girl come into the area he was in. She wasnt as fast as him by a long shot. She might be a burden if she went inside. "Climb that tree and survey the area for guards. If you see any that you can get just shoot them. Ill sneak inside and eliminate resistance that i can. After i get over the wall," he pointed to an archers tower near the main building in the stronghold, "Go up there for a good vantage point." He whispered all of this quietly, making sure noone could hear.

She did what she was told and jumped up into the tree. Scouting the area she saw that there was two guards at the gate, 1 above the gate, 3 at the east wall, and 3 at the west. The two guards at the gate were the best targets to take out first as none of the people on the wall would notice. So that’s what she did shooting two perfectly silent kills.

Renji moved toward the spot where his comrade had dropped the two guards. He pulled out the bolts she shot and placed them in his pack. He hoped she would hit a few others before he got inside. She needed to be silent though, hopefully she knew this. He channeled chakra inot his feet and ran up the gate door to a guard that was nearly asleep at his post. Renji made sure the guard couldnt make that mistake again, by cutting off the idiots head. Renji was almost invisible on this moonless night.

Amaya reloaded her crossbow but she didn’t shoot. There wasn’t a target she could shoot that wouldn’t alert another. Even if she tried her hardest, she wouldn’t be able to take out all 6 guards. She was just going to have to wait for an opening.

Renji moved along the wall slowly and found 3 guards below it. They appeared to be talking together. Standing in a circle was such a stupid thing to do. Renji jumped down from the wall back outside the stronghold and spun throwing three kunai in a a patern that rained down death on the three guards. When Renji had landed he took careful note where each one hit. He was almost perfect for precision. He pierced two mens right eye. His goal was three. Renji pulled out the kunai out of the three men and placed them back on his armor. He rushed back to Amaya.

Amaya saw Renji come back. She wondered what he wanted. Did she mess up again? Was she going to get punish?
