Renji whispered so that only she could hear. Nice job on those two hits. Have you ever fired more then one bolt before?" He did wait for the response, instead he pulled the bolts from his pack and handed them to her. "Load them and take out anyone you see. Ill take out anyone that might raise an alarm. Understand? Dont be nervous."

She nodded her head “No” for the first question and a “Yes” for the second. She aimed for one of the guards. She than gave a look to Renji that she was ready.

Renji gave her a sign that he was ready and crept a little closer. He would wait for her shot before coming out.

She exhaled slowly and pulled the trigger. The bolt had indeed hit it’s mark but as expected the other two had been alerted. She tried to reload as fast as she could but it wasn’t fast enough. Hopefully her partner can take care of it.

Renji moved quickly and decapitated one of the remaining guards. The other one on the other hand seemed to move quickly and without hesitation. Renji had to act quick. He ducked as a sword passed the spot where his neck had previously been and threw a kunai up into the mans throat. Blood poured onto Renji's armor. That was too close. No room for error. Renji made qa few quick handsigns and funneled chakra into his hand. He took the kunai out of the mans throat and tied a windmill to the handle. He also incribed a quick note onto it.

"You need to be faster. Try using a bow next time. I will train you. Move to the tower so we can complete the mission."

He threw the kunai into the tree where Amaya was and headed for the wall of the stronghold. Hopefully her stealth ability was as good as her aim. She was accurate but slow. and with a bow she could do more.

(If i created a bow for you would you use it? I just think it would make these two a great team)

She read the note. Bows. She tried using them once but she just didn’t have the arm strength to keep the bow drawn. That and when excreting said strength she couldn’t concentrate on accuracy. With her crossbow she was able to draw the bow, lock it in place, and concentrate on deadly accuracy. So the choice was between quality or quantity. She would just have to tell here partner that she would just have to train harder with her crossbow. (hope that answers your question)


She went to the wall and walked up it to the tower. She looked around. There were several houses scattered all over the place with a castle like structure where the South wall should have been. It seemed that most of the residents were asleep as they should at this time of night. She didn’t know who the target was or if there was one. So the best thing she could do for the moment was to shoot down anyone who got in Renji’s way. She gave a signal to Renji that she had made it to the tower.

Renji flicked another kunai into the tower. Another note attached.

"In order to comunicate better im using a secret jutsu in order for us to comunicate quickly. Touch the kunai and we will be able to hear eachother as if we were right here."

Renji waited a few moments before speaking. "Can you hear me?"

She read the note and then snapped her fingers at the kunai hoping that would be enough. While she waited for a response, she put her foot on the stirrup of her crossbow. This way she can reload the next shot while conserving chakra.

Renji stalked through the streets of the tiny fortress. Thats exactly what it was! No wonder there were so many guards. It was practically filled with them. Its a good thing Renji had flowed through the Guild's labrynth so often. That was more fun to do with the other order members. Renji whispered all of his movements about where he was heading. This way his partner would scout ahead with range. The two made a plan and Renji had sent up a cheat sheet as well. It made up for the fact that she couldnt speak.

Snaps = guards (number of snaps = number of guards)
Knocks on the stone = eliminated
5 second emptiness = all clear

Renji arrived at a small stadium like building. "Any targets you see inside."

She saw the building he mentioned. She knocked on stone. It was a single guard and the shot was too easy. He didn’t even see the bolt coming poor fellow.

Renji stepped inside of the stadium. It as open. Why only one guard? And why so little resistance? And thats when it occured to him. "Its a trap." Whispered Renji.

About 20 shinobi stepped from the shadows and the stadium was flooded with light. They all seemed to be high classed jonins. This could get difficult.

A man from the stands stepped into the light ever so slightly. "Renji Hatorii i presume." His voice emanated power. "I have hired your guild for various assassinations and I know your handywork. You honestly think that you will make it out alive? Not alone."

Renji began to whisper to his comrade. "Take out any that you can. I am definitely going to need help. Leave the big guy in the stands to me though." Renji heard a voice say "Kill him" and he readied himself for the onslaught. The first man to attack was very unlucky indeed. Renji ducked down as a sword passed the spot his neck had been and spun around with his sword in hand. Amputating the mans leg at the knee. Before he hit the ground, Renji flipped forward and slammed his heel into the mans chest and drove him into the ground. One down, nineteen to go.

Well there was no point in staying silent now. She loaded her crossbow with an explosive tipped bolt. She aimed it at one of the jonin. The shot itself didn’t make a sound but the explosion did. She just hoped she got one of them as the smoke covered her view. She loaded another one and waited for the explosion to clear.

Renji was greatful Amaya knew how to improvise. She had taken out 3 with that explosion. And made an effective smoke cover. Renji flitted through the smoke. He decapitated one shinobi and cut three others in half. Thirteen left. Renji didnt notice the shinobi that was coming from behind him.

She saw the jonin coming in on his flank and shot another explosive shot. Sooner or later though they were going to spot her and she wasn’t going to provide as much assistance. But she used the time she had to load another bolt.

Renji was a bit surprised when blood and guts splashed his back. "Dont use the explosives anymore. They are onto you as is." He whispered. He turned and saw another shinobi. This one had completed his handsigns. "Fire Prison Jutsu!" A large dome of fire shot toward Renji at a blistering speed. Good thing Renji was fast on his feet. He jumped over the mans attack and threw a kunai directly into his throat. The man crumpled to the floor as the remaining 12 shinobi moved to encircle him

She heard Renji and took out the explosive bolt she was going to use and put it back into her quiver. She took out another a regular one and aimed. The shot only took out one of them but at least it was silent. 11 more to go.

None of the shinobi were even aware of the girl up in the tower. Even if they did they couldnt hit her from this spot. Renji moved quickly. Swinging his sword, a silvery wolf pack appeared and rushed straight at 3 shinobi. The men didnt have a chance.

Another man silently dropped died on the ground. Amaya quickly loaded another bolt and fired. This too hit a ninja and killed him. That equaled to 6 more left.

Renji began to move quicker. He needed to end this soon. He began throwing his kunai from his armor. 5 men dropped to the ground, each with a kunai in their left eye. "Take the last one, and now ill take care of the big guy up there."

She did what she was told to and shot the last person. She was waiting for further instructions while reloading her crossbow.

Renji moved quickly up the benches and gutted the man from left to right. His intestines and blood spilling onto the ground. Renji didnt even give him a moment to beg. "Now for the finishing touches. Grab everything you have up there, including the kunai and meet me down here."

She grabbed the kunai and jumped down. It took a few seconds for her to silently jump from rooftop to rooftop. She landed next to Renji and looked at him for the next assignment.

Renji looked around at the carnage. "Remove any signs of us being here. Other then the bodies."

She nodded and began picking up what remanded of her bolts. The normal ones were easy retrieve but the pieces of wood left from the explosive ones took a little longer.

When the place was swept of all traces of them Renji nodded to Amaya, indicating it was time to go. "Meet me out in the clearing where we first were. I have to pick up one thing."
