On Guard (nbird and Yurei)

Tsukiakara stayed inside and was starting to make some rice for breakfast. (It was the only breakfastey item he could find.) He sat by the fire place cooking it as he thought some more.

"Count each dropplet, falling down. One, two, three~" Yurei sang, it was something her mother sang to her, "Count each star, dancing in the night. Four, five, six~"

“The food’s ready!” Tsukiakara called out. The smell of cooked rice filled the room. He had got out placemats with plates and chopsticks set on them.

Yurei looked around to Tsukiakara then to her cloak, it wasn't dry yet, "It will be fine out here..." she mumbled before walking in. "Good, I'm starving!" Yurei rubbed her hands together. This was the 1st and probabaly the only time that he would see her this clearly without her cloak.

Tsukiakara began to eat some of the food he’d prepared. “You look better without that cloak on” He said.

Yurei smiled softly at Nbird, "Thank you but I have to keep it on, no one can see me like this untill I get some problems straightened out." she explained, hands on her hips.

“What kind of problems?” Tsukiakara asked as he took another bit of the rice.

"Like the fact I left my village, my brother is missing, someone is after me and I have no clue why...those kinds of problems." Yurei said, arching a brow. She served herself from rice and started to eat, "1st I need to find my brother though."

“Want me to help. I’m due for a paid vacation anyway so it wouldn’t be any bother to me” Tsukiakara said.

"Lets see...so you would rather travel around with me, probably get your ass killed, looking for someone who might be dead already...instead of relaxing somewhere you won't be killed?" Yurei said, riasing a brow again as she smiled.

“I get bored easily. Gives me an excuse to travel. And as for that getting killed part, my life is in danger just from breathing. You saw how those guy’s were after me. I’m kind of used to it.” He said in a kind of joking manner.

"Yes...but compared to the ones after me, those guys were a cake walk." Yurei chuckled then began to eat again.

“Oh well. Can’t have it too easy.” He said. He finished off his word and put the bowl down.

"Nothing is ever easy in my life..." Yurei sighed then finished eating.

Tsukiakara sat there silently for awhile looking at the empty plate. Now that he thought of it, his life was never easy too. Eventually he spoke, “If we continue down this river we’ll get to the Village hidden in the Valley. There I can stock up supplies and get our wounds checked”

Yurei looked at Tsukiakara then smiled, "Thanks again, I wouldn't of made it this far by now if it wasn't for you." she said softly.

“Well, I better go check if our raft is till intact.” Tsukiakara said. With all the rain last night it could have washed down the stream. He stood up and walked back to the entrance. The smell of fresh dew that you get when it had recently rain filled the air. The grass was all wet and made a squishy sound whenever he walked on it.

"Kay, just be careful..." Yurei said with a smile but it soon disappeared when Tsukiakara left. She stood up and went to her pack, pulling out her suppiles to see what she had left.

He walked out to where the two men parked the raft. But the raft was not there. The water level rose during the rain and the raft was swept way. Now that he knew this Tsukiakara walked back to the hideout to inform Yurei that they were walking the rest of the way.

Yurei was repacking things at the hideout, stocking on up somethings as well when she saw Tsukiakara, "So is the raft still there?" she asked, swinging her pack on her back.

Tsukiakara shook his head, no. “It looks like we’re walking the rest of the way” He said.
